Tried everything with this plugin only to have it return a fatal error crashing the whole wordpress installation.

No plugin updates in 2 years. I have known good API credentials on the settings page, and when I click the button to test them I get a wordpress error. There is an entry in the log file:

I have to say this must be the best Amazon Associates plug-in that I have tried so far. The shortcodes are simple to use and very flexible. The out of the box look of the products displayed on the page is very pleasing, without looking like a stock Amazon ad. The best part about this app has been the support – Don has helped me out every step of the way while I got up and running, even updating the plug-in to include some of my suggestions / requests. Can’t recommend this plugin enough!

I have used this product for a long time, and have made consistent money with it. I LOVED it, unfortunately, with the new wordpress versions it breaks the visual editor. PLEASE PLEASE fix this, as no other plugin comes close to the usefulness of this if you are an amazon affiliate – unfortunately I am going to have to deactivate because of the issues its causing.

Love the ease of use/setup and it is visually pleasing with many customizable options. One major issue though – it disables my visual editor until i disable the plugin and also the pages that list the products make the menu icon dissapear when viewing on mobile devices. the menu icon only disappears on the pages where I use the shortcodes. Both of these are very big issues that I hope are addressed soon!
I do not post too often so don’t mind disabling the plugin temporarily to be able to publish my post and then re-activate it again but it is rather annoying
EDIT: The visual editor problem has been resolved since I disabled my adblock plugin. Will give 5 stars if the menu icon issue on mobile devices is resolved

I install this and it works. But then for months I was unable to view the Visual editor. Worst still, frequently I cannot even view the text editor. Spent months trying to resolve this issue until today.
In total to test I used Opera, Mozilla, Edge and Chrome. Until about a month ago, only Edge worked well with the Visual editor, the rest blank. It is not because of Ads Block addon I think. But then all browsers have the same problem in Visual Editor and this spread to even the Text Editor… this make it difficult to edit
This morning I found out that once I DISABLE this Amazon Product in a Post Plugin, all my problems are resolved.

When this plugin is enabled, Visual editing on posts is invisible. Disabling the plugin restores the visual editor.

Plugin is easy to set up and maintain, and the frequent updates have kept it almost bug-free. I had a minor issue setting up my site with the plugin, and Don answered all of my questions almost immediately, and even took a look at the plugin himself to fix it for me. I couldn’t be happier with the plugin or the support backing it. If you’re looking to integrate your WP with Amazon’s API, this is the best way to do it by far!

tried plugin exactly per instructions on a SiteGround ‘GoGeek’ server, a Hostgator ‘baby’ server, and on a Bitnami Amazon instance. In all cases there were huger site slowdowns, hung up posts that would not load, and/or many missing images and other problems.
my experience in all cases is to avoid this plugin.
