Support is useless even with the Pro version. Offloading my media is not working. Settings return http 500 error.

Most of my clients are “corpo” and use MS ecosystem. Plugin is grate, but even premium version has lack of MS OneDrive that people could want – mine want’s a lot (GDPR/RODO stuff).

Great plugin for offloading to S3

Support is useless even with the Pro version. They will replace your URLs despite what they say. Offloading all your media is completely unreliable and you end up with thousands of broken links. I’ve destroyed a client relationship with this once trustworthy plugin and their useless support. They have no ideas, they just keep sticking to the script. Now I have to go through and manually repair thousands of links on hundreds of pages to undo the damage they caused while they blame ‘a different plugin complication’. The truth is they don’t know how their plugin actually works. It replaces your URLs. It infects your system. Stay far away.

The free version (lite) is close to useless. You can’t even configure a CDN. I also purchased the paid version(about $40). It seems that’s also half backed. It doesn’t offload javascript, css or fonts. I think they have more expensive options (i.e. $200 ) but it’s all shady and they don’t tell you which version actually does all the offloading so that you can buy again a full version. I recommend you to stay away from these crooks

Free version can’t upload existing files to S3 so it’s useless for my use case. Pro is quite expensive; my use case would require 10k files for about USD 200 per year.

While it takes a little while to get everything configured (a bit of a learning curve to everything), this is a fantastic plugin! Great UI/UX too. Kudos to the team @deliciousbrains.

Been using Offload Media for years, and ran into a problem installing on a new site. Support found my issue quickly and the site works well. I like this plugin because it is completely transparent, makes my pages load faster, and takes all my largest files off my hosting server.

For some reason, the Pro version counts how many photos you have in your WordPress (strange, considering this is not an API Service), and you pay based on tiers.
To have unlimited images in your WordPress, you need to pay $1,200/year.
The explanation by the developer as to why this is the case is not any bit reassuring:
Why a count of offloaded media?∞
Strange, right? Most WordPress plugins are limited to a certain number of sites, so why is this one using the number of offloaded media items? It turns out to be more fair…
Let’s say you have 3 small WordPress sites. The Bronze license would probably serve you well. While a big site like TechCrunch would need a much bigger license. That’s fair.
Now lets imagine licenses were limited by number of sites instead (like most other WordPress plugins): Bronze 1 site, Silver 2 sites, Gold 5 sites, etc. TechCrunch would only need a Bronze license while you would need Gold. Boo-urns.
So for the smallest Pro package, you’re expected to pay $70/year to manage 2,000 photos LOL.
I can get a developer on Fiverr to build me this functionality using ChatGPT in a day or two, and have unlimited with no renewal fee.

My site became unresponsive shortly after activating this plugin. Reboot, disable plugin, delete plugin

If you are using the lite version, then there is a high probability that the links to your images will break when you turn off the plugin. The only option then would be to purchase the Pro version in order to get your images and the correct links back. It’s a trap, I would never use it again.

This plugin is excellent, but I always forget that it has several undocumented dependencies if you are installing it on a fresh EC2 instance. If you install it on Ubuntu, you need to run these commands:
apt install php-xml
apt install php-curl
If you are on CentOS or something, probably just substitute yum for apt. And you may need to specify your php version number.
Also, when creating your IAM policy, you need to restrict your bucket ARN to 2 resources, not just one. One of the resources is the bucket name itself, and the other is the bucket name/*

Ofc only the pro version have support for moving already uploaded files. Skipping this one due to shady monetization tactics.

The plugin is Not ready for prim-time IMHO.
The install complains of gd and imagick even after they are installed and available (confirmed via phpinfo() check).
The plugin setup screen has too much “up sell” push…

There is no reason for the plugin author to be controlling your images. The purpose of this plugin is to offload the images to an image server such as Amazon S3 or Digital Ocean. So, why would they monitor how many images you upload – that should be between you, your host, and your image hosting. I figured maybe the pro version would have something better – but even the pro version has limitations! Even the most expensive. This plugin just isn’t for anyone that wants complete control over their images.

I’m so impressed with this plugin. I was feling daunted about trying to offload images to AWS for the first time, but this worked beautifully for me.
The documentation is superb and made the whole process very straightforward. And the email support when I had a couple of questions was very helpful and quick to respond.
Highly recommended.

Good overall, but we have been having some issues with updates as the plugin has a conflict with our WP theme.

At first, I have problem when using bucket created from Amazon S3 panel. Fixed by create bucket in plugin setting, all working fine ??
I suggest to install plugin Imsanity it will resize very large original images before upload. Because wordpress will upload original images to bucket as well so if you upload 25MB image it will upload that too, even you not use it. normally I use only thumbnail & large image version.

Been using this plugin for two websites without issue. The official setup guide is very detailed. Serving images with S3 and CDN makes both websites load much faster. No longer need to save images locally.

Thanks.. Works like a charm!

This is an awesome plugin that connects WP media library to your own cloud storage service. Those space hogging files now can go somewhere else and you gain back the precious space on your main web server. After some configuration work to set things up, it works like a charm. Plugin UI is easy to understand and comes with good amount of instruction to guide you through configurations. I’m looking into their commercial version as well.

We use the plugin for offloading our media to GCS so we can deliver the images via Google’s CDN. It works flawlessly. Thank you for creating such a handy plugin!

Didn’t take long and I got it working well with Buddypress using Amazon S3 and Cloudfront CDN. Thank you for this plugin! Looking into the premium features now!

I’m all about making a WordPress installation as light as possible. This plugins always makes me smile as I’m able to offload all my media files to another service and keep my server almost intact.
I’ve never run into problems with this plugin. I’m also using SpinupWP for my sites because you can always trust something developed by Delicious Brains.
