I use your plugin on my site and I tested it myself, when the plugin is activated, comments made through the comment form appear as empty (in the comment area of WP just appears an * symbol). When the plugin is deactivated, everything works.

I use the default settings of the Antispam Bee Plugin. I use the commentform of the Divi Theme.

Can you help me with this?

I have been bombarded with Korean language comments in the past month. All those comments go to my “Pending” folder rather than to my “Spam” folder.

The usernames of those commenters are all also Korean.

Is there any way for you guys (or me) to ensure that all Korean comments go to “Spam”?

The plugin does a great job when it comes to Russian comments, which always go to “Spam”.

My site and blog are in English, and I only approve English language comments.

I installed the plugin, trying to eliminate spam not coming from my country but fake compilations keep arriving. Is there a way to block all types of spam?

I am running WordPress 6.6.2, Antispam Bee 2.11.6, and GeneratePress theme 3.5.1. In other words, all three of those are up to date. I have “Trust approved commenters” checked, but regardless I still have to approve every comment that comes in, including my own and even trackbacks from my own blog.

I noticed that Brazil Portuguese is not included in the selected list of valid idioms. If possible, include it, since is the only idiom my site should accept.??

I’m checking my site for accessibility and I’m getting an error that seems to relate to Antispam Bee.

Can you explain what this code does, and why it needs the aria-hidden value of true?

Hi! Great plugin, but from a couple days ago visitors started to get the message: invalid security token. And it will only shows when Bee is on, if I deactivate it the message will not appear and users can comment normaly.

Im using Jetpack for commenting and I have already reach them and there is no issue with that side.

Any advice?

Disabling antispam bee removes the issue – and I see it has been updated recently.

Hi,

With a strict content security policy the inline CSS of the honeypot is ignored by the browser and the textarea becomes visible. This is the case for example with this HTTP header:

Content-Security-Policy: default-src 'self';

As a workaround I have moved the inline CSS to an external css file:

I had someone email me today to tell me that every time they tried to comment they received the message “Invalid Security Token” I had someone I know try and they got the same message. I turned off the plug-in and they could comment. I am running Ashe theme and tried using Jetpack plug-in and WordPress commenting.

I don’t want to have to turn off comments or my antispam. Is there anything I can do?

modify the wp-comments-post.php

Change it to what you currently have “comments “Custom comment Path:” set

There are 2 places you need to modify line 1185 and 1140.

This is for the version 2.11.6 of Antispam Bee.

Delete the original antispam-bee.2.11.6\antispam-bee\antispam_bee.php

Put your modified antispam_bee.php in that directory.

No more “Error:?Please type your comment text.”

Would be great to have this reputable plugin also for the registration submission ??

We have been noticing more and more spam over the last few months. Initially we had no spam at all and the plugin did a good job, but now it seems as if the security features of this plugin have been compromised.

Any recommendations on what to do?

In a WordPress form we have 2 honeypot fields. Originally we only had one, but due to the spam we have added a 2nd field.

But it doesn’t seem to help either, at least we can’t see how many spam messages are blocked, we only register which ones arrive.

Currently >= 5 SPAM messages come through every day.

I downloaded and activated antispam bee a couple of days ago, the last days i have still received 4-5 spam mails daily.

i have used the preset settings.

I just unchecked the Trust approved commenters, maybe that will help. Do you have any other tips or do i just have to live with daily spam?

As requested, I am creating a new topic for this issue.

The issue appears with the Toocheke theme (https://www.ads-software.com/themes/toocheke/) and ASB. I am able to post comments when logged in as admin, but for others the error message “Comment is required” shows when they try to post a comment. Jetpack is installed on my site (https://www.botaram.com/) but none of its options are activated. Deactivating ASB immediately restores the ability to comment.

Since I first posted about this issue, I located the error text in the comments.php file for the theme, it appears to be part of a Javascript form validation for the comments.

Thank you for nice plugin. I’ve tested with installed, activated, deactivated, uninstalled and found that one data in _options table were left when uninstalled. It is antispambee_db_version option.

I see that you have uninstall() method called but you missed this option in there. Please include to delete this thing on uninstall.

I have recently installed Antispambee on my blog. Several known friends, who I know and trust have told me that when they leave a non-spammy comment on any of my blog posts, they all get the message “Spam Deleted” when the comment is posted and the comment disappears. This is not recorded anywhere under “comments” in my WordPress dashboard. My mentor, who suggested that I install Antispambee, has checked my settings, especially the tick in the box marked “Mark as spam, do not delete” and he can see nothing wrong. Can you help? I am using your plugin since some month. I installed it when I found out there are a lot of spam mails from RU in the database. Well your plugin is blocking spam very good but I was wondering why I did not get any “real” comments any more. I tried to comment under a video and found out that its not possible. I get error

Wie und wo kann ich die Warnmeldung abstellen bzw. den Fehler beheben?

Like others, I have experienced an issue where all comments are being marked as “honeypot”. I did not realize the issue right away as my site rarely gets valid comments, but I do receive a lot of actual spam. What fixed my problem was selecting “Check complete site markup for comment forms” checkbox under More / Various Options under settings.

Possibly because my site uses an older theme and the comment code isn’t in the expected location, the hook “comment_form_field_comment” / prepare_comment_field method wasn’t getting triggered. This means the comment textarea wasn’t getting rewritten with the honeypot form field.

When comments are submitted, the Antispam Bee code always assumes that the honeypot form field has been created and and in cases where this isn’t the case, the code will always detect a comment as spam. It would be nice if code could be added to detect whether the honeypot form field was successfully created, and then the honeypot spam detection could be conditional on this.

Why can’t this plugin be activated on the Elementor form builder?
Although some people have made an anti-spam plugin for Elementor.

Is it possible to omit the “website” field on the comment form.
