Currently “move to archive” action is only available as an action to a single post.
The multiple post selection action (apply to selected) only lists “edit” and “thrash”.
I would like to see the option “move to archiv” for the selected posts.
]]>Hello,
I plan to move most of my post to an archive. Mainly because most of them are outdated by 5-10 years. I have installed this plugin and it gives me an list of all archive posts. However they are not ordered by category or anything else. I would appreciate if there were more options to create a nicer overview on the archive.
Since the plugin did not get any update in 2 years I wonder if there are any plans on updating the plugin in the future.
If not, especially if it gets unmaintained I would need to switch to an alternative – if there are any suggestions on alternatives that would be welcome.

]]>I get the following error if I enable the archive plugin:
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at …website/wp-content/plugins/archive/archive.php:1) in …website/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 15
I had to disable it, otherwise the download-manager does not work.
]]>On a couple of site I got this Error when activating:
The plugin generated 3 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
I hope you develop this plugin further. It’s a must!

Thanks already for your help
]]>Just downloaded it and archived my most recent post. The post has completely vanished with no recovery option… Extremely frustrating. Wish I never installed the app.
]]>I used this plugin in a couple projects last year and it worked perfectly! I needed a way to archive some pages/posts from being listed on the backend, but I didn’t want to delete them. This plugin fit the bill. I was attempting to use it on another project, but unfortunately I get this error when I try to save changes to a page or post on WP 4.1:
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/example2015/public_html/wp-content/plugins/archive/archive.php on line 386
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/example2015/public_html/wp-content/plugins/archive/archive.php:386) in /home/example2015/public_html/wp-admin/post.php on line 233
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/example2015/public_html/wp-content/plugins/archive/archive.php:386) in /home/example2015/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1178
Are there plans to update this plugin to be compatible with WP 4.1 soon?
]]>The plugin installs fine, but when I click on the archive link in posts or pages I always get this error:
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /homepages/45/d291575496/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/archive/archive.php on line 386
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/45/d291575496/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/archive/archive.php:386) in /homepages/45/d291575496/htdocs/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1173
However, the post or page is successfully archived. What is causing this?
]]>I added the list to a page using [archive count="-1" content="false"]
which results in a ul list with ALL content shown.
I want no content to be shown. If any, then only the preview.
The list is not distinguishable from the much larger headings in the text.
It is only a simple ul list without any css.
Is this meant serious? I actually expect the list to be changeable in design.
how to show a monthly archive ?
thanks
]]>I’ve dragged and dropped the Archives widget to my main site’s sidebar, but the archive links don’t work – they just redirect to the main page. I’m using WooThemes’ Canvas theme and the most recent version of WordPress.
The site is: https://www.planestrainsandplantagenets.com/.
Thank you!
]]>Frank, have you considered exposing an option to disable front-end display? The use case is for using the plugin to shelve old content without deleting it, so that it can be restored if necessary, but definitely hiding it from public view. We’re currently accomplishing this via the function below in a custom site plugin, which feels a bit hacky.
/* Disable Archived posts from being visible in the front end */
function rli_hide_archiv_posts() {
global $wp_post_types;
$archiv = &$wp_post_types['archiv'];
$archiv->publicly_queryable = 0;
$archiv->has_archive = 0;
}
add_action( 'init', 'rli_hide_archiv_posts', 100 );

Hello, Does the plugin allow me to list al the post from a category, below one of my Pages? For example with a shortcode?
Thanks!
]]>Hello, I ran into a problem using the ‘Archive’ plugin, as I’m not able to view the archived post/page at the frontend.
See https://www.vriendenhovoutrecht.nl/archief/, they all redirect to https://www.vriendenhovoutrecht.nl/archiv/post-name, which gives a ‘Not found’ (of course I tried /archive/, but that doesn’t matter).
Also when I edit an archived post an click ‘View this Post’ I end up with the same URL (../archiv/post-name) that apparently is not working.
What is going wrong here, and what can I do to fix it?
