I’ve been using the ASGAROS forum for some time now, and the support and I have so far managed everything that should have been done or were errors. But now I can’t get any further.
The effect only occurs on the SMARTPHONE, the website works without any problems.
This is the unpleasant effect: e.g. The link: [ redundant link deleted ]/forum/topic/alice-weidel-uebern?chte-verwehrt/#postid-202 is displayed on the smartphone like this: [ redundant link deleted ]/#postid-202 and is of course not found and the GUI jumps back to the homepage.

I have a user that created a thread with multiple images per message. All was working well, until his last message. Now the forum only displays a blank page instead of the thread.
How can I debug this to provide you with more information?
I do use Toolbox for Asgaros Forum to do inline image upload and autosubscription. Deactivating the plugin didn’t change anything.

What I’ve noticed now, even though I’ve already been told that the ASGAROS forum uses the WordPress embed framework, is that there are differences.
In a post in standard WordPress, I can insert a video and specify the horizontal position. In the ASGAROS forum the video is always right-aligned and that doesn’t look so great.
I’m currently using a construct like this: [embed width="400" height="256"]https://mecker-ecke.com/wp-content/uploads/public/SKODA-abklatschen.mp4[/embed] and there’s no positioning as a parameter.
Can I still somehow manage to set the position of an embed, possibly CSS?

The problem with spammers is huge, really. We literally delete new entries and user accounts from the forum every day. There are a lot of them.
We are so tired of it now that we are considering whether to close our forum or to change the mechanism forum to some other one.
After analyzing the problem, we decided that the best solution would probably be to secure something like the one from PHPBB. I once saw something similar there:

]]>I am currently using the Asgaros Forum plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/asgaros-forum/) on my site. The plugin works overall, but there’s an issue when submitting a topic/post. After submitting, the page stays on a loading screen and doesn’t display a confirmation that the post was successful. However, if I refresh the forum, the post does appear. Additionally, if I wait for the loading to complete, a 504 Gateway Time-out Nginx error is displayed. I tested the plugin on a different site, and it works correctly, so the bug seems to be specific to this site.
I have created a staging site from the live site to run some tests. I’ve disabled all plugins except the Asgaros Forum plugin and switched the theme to Twenty Twenty-Four to eliminate any customizations. However, the issue still persists. Can you help me with this? ]]>I am using Asgaros Forum on my website, and I also use WP Groups to manage my users.
In WP Groups I have two main groups: “Mitarbeiter” and “Pensionist”. “Mitarbeiter”-Users can become members of “Pensionist”, but never the other way round. All “Mitarbeiter”-Users have access to the forum and can subscribe to whatever topic or post they want. As soon as they are in the group “Pensionist” they should lose access to the forum, but not to the website.
I succeeded in denying users of “Pensionist”-group access to the forum via the WP Groups plugin, but subscribed users still get emails with links to the forum which they can now not open anymore. So I created a user-group in Asgaros forum (“Benutzerdefinierte Benutzergruppen”), added all “Mitarbeiter”-users, but not users from “Pensionist”. As soon as people are out of the Asgaros User-group they should not receive e-mail notifications anymore, as I understood it.
What I am struggling with now is that if someone is switched from WPGroups “Mitarbeiter” to WPGroups “Pensionist” I have to throw them out of the Asgaros user-group as well. I need something like a hook for functions.php, where, when I check if they are in WPGroups “Pensionist” user group, I can remove them from the Asgaros User group. Is there something like that available?

Firstly – huge thanks for the forum software which is working really well.
Just one question though – my forum is for logged in users only which is working fine – however in the Currently on Line are some Guests – so I am presuming bots or even people are coming to the page and see the message – Sorry only logged in users can access the forum.
Is that correct you think please and I presume there is no way to stop the Guests showing on the forum page ?

]]>Our forum ist fairly new and someone has just reported a reply for the first time and by accident – I have no idea how to just “unreport” it. At the top of the forum there is a note of a new report. I click on it and am now looking at an extract of the reported reply and the options “Meldung l?schen” and “Zeige Beitrag”. Does “Meldung l?schen” mean the report is being deleted or the reply?

?>I am unsure if anyone else experienced this, but for some time, on my Asgaros forum, replying with the quote does not work. There are no problems with posting or replying otherwise.
If a reply includes the quote, hitting the button “Submit” practically only refreshes the given page, and the page itself is not updated (nor does the database get updated). Another weird thing is that the software does send the notification emails about the supposedly sent answer, with a link that ends with ../topic/#postid-0, and this email is sent to the forum subscribers, not to the topic subscribers (so as if a new topic was posted).
The fix or any idea about why this happens is welcome. Thanks.
]]>I’ve installed an activated the Asgaros plugin, and it really is simple and easy to use, and it looks great too. However, there’s three problems I’m experiencing that I have no idea how to resolve.
Facts:
1) My site is hosted on wordpress.com, not a third party site with WordPress software installed.
2) I’m using a Colibri theme and page builder.
Problems:
1) When posting anything (new topic, reply, etc) there is no Format Bar. So, you can type your post but you can’t do anything to the text like bold, italics, lists, etc., nor can you add inline pics or make text a link.
2) The Search field is on a second row of the nav bar, instead of the same row. This makes the nav bar twice as thick as it needs to be.
3) When replying to an existing post, hitting the “Cancel” button has no effect. However, if you create a new topic and click the “Cancel” button it works as expected.
I appreciate any help, these really affect the way the forum functions.
