I must admit that I was highly skeptical at first, but the plugin did a fantastic job of importing Microsoft Word .docx files into the WordPress site I’m managing.

No registration (free), no plugin.
I’ve finally end up making the text migration by hand.
Don’t want to start registering without seeing the plugin’s work.

I installed; setup and settings, clicked save; then???
Nothing!!
I searched for instructions, forum, support, and what: nothing??!
Can you at least give us instructions/ faq/ whatever??
This is by far the worst (free) ever.

Update- thanks for pointing this out, its an EXCELLENT solution but you need to clarify (anywhere) how to use it.. please its common sense.
Now it’s 5 stars!

This plugin works excellently well. Though not stated in its description, it can also export posts to txt format. The plugin gives options for what one wants to export or exclude from exporting, in its settings page.
I was able to use this plugin to export my 1111 wordpress posts to txt in less than one minute.
Amazingly, this plugin is FREE [as at the time of writing this review].
Great job, Developer.

I was skeptical…but was wrong. This is a great plugin. Super easy to use. In a couple of minutes, I’d exported over 50 posts along with 3-10 pictures each. Word doc looks perfect. Would love a chronological vs. reverse chronological order option. Thanks!!! UPDATE…so it actually does that! I figured out that in whatever order I sort the posts when I choose them and click (under bulk action) to export to DOCX, they are exported in that order. So, it is actually perfect for what I need. Thanks again!

I installed the plugin. On the settings page, selected that each page is saved into its own docx. Selected to saved meta data (custom fields). Exported 80 pages from the Pages page (the list of all the pages). Option was under the Quick Edit menu. Really suprised how quickly it ran (with lots of images too). Amazing free plugin. Thanks so much for this.

Super simple and worked first time.
Thanks ??

I installed the plugin and exported my Word Press page post. WHERE IS IT?
I gave on trying to ask free support. It isn’t possible. This should be a no brainer. Export the file, view the file. The application either didn’t work or the file is exported off so some other location. . . either way, no good.

I use this on WordPress 5.7.2. and export all my texts because I usually write directly in the WP app or via the dashboard.
Not tested with this version of WP but it definitely works like a charm <3

I use the plugin to export posts, filtered through another plugin, to a Word-file. I apply a custom set of styles then, which is possible because Aspose exports the styles along with the content. I might have to rearrange some pictures and I’m done. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Title pretty much says it all. Not impressed. Completely broke my site. Need to reinstall from the backup.

We use it for a project and it works great. Also, the support response is very fast!

For me it is essential.
It’s great!

When I upgraded PHP and reinstalled Aspose.Words Exporter, it consistently gave me an error message. Had to delete.
Was an excellent plugin.

Our client needed all texts from his WP website in a Microsoft Word document. This plug-in does exactly that. It works with very little configuration, and the resulting Word document is clean and well structured.
I frankly don’t understand why there are so many negative reviews for this plug-in. Not only does it a good job, its the only plug-in which provides a Word export for WordPress as far as I know. I tried exporting in a WP-XML or CSV file first, but the result was not even close to this.
For me, this plug-in is a great timesaver, and I appreciate that it’s even free.

I was kind of surprised after reading the most recent reviews, but this plugin was exactly what I needed today. I exported 350 pages and posts to Word files in a matter of minutes.
When I first installed it, I went to export a page and got an error message, but then I went to the plugin settings and let it sign me up for the Aspose API and after that everything worked.
Well, not quite everything worked — I wasn’t able to get multiple pages to download as a ZIP file. I was able to get multiple pages to download as a single Word file, however, and that was good enough for me. Frankly, I’m just happy it worked at all.

after signing up it actually worked. But the result looks like shIIt. You are better off just copying and pasting into google docs.

I installed & set up account fine, but when it came to doing exports, I had three significant problems:
1. It crashed my server without any notification of why it did this.
2. I downloaded a bunch of files but the files were partially incomplete and badly formatted.
3. Lastly, it wasn’t clear that the plugin requires payment to work. It is a SAAS… so it is not standalone by any means. There is enough to test the system (150 credits) but anything more than that you have to pay $99.00 minimum (PER MONTH)…
I find the developer a little shifty in this regard. Didn’t mention clearly it’s essentially a paid app, didn’t mention clearly how much until I had to go find out, didn’t mention that it is a regular payment clearly either. One star now.
In short, not my ideal choice. I’m afraid I deleted it. I wouldn’t consider using it again. Sorry, but no.
Note to developer: could be a really useful app… but you need to inform your users clearly about usage/pricing terms. This is not just a courtesy. It’s a necessity.

Downloading plain files either .doc .docx … or whatever..

Great plugin to export posts and pages to Word format. If you have a lot of pages or posts, you will need to buy credits on the Aspose website. Thanks for an excellent plugin that saved me hours of work!
]]>Rating: 1 star
Worked great, till it stopped working.
What was the problem?
There’s a FEE.
The service that does the conversion requires a user to have “credits” after the first X conversions.
Why not make that statement plain and simple on the installation page?
That way, I would have avoided the “service” and spent my time productively. Now, I am going to go back to pulling the posts manually. Only cost me my weekend. :-/

I was pleasantly surprised; it worked better than anticipated. I had more trouble setting up the Aspose account to get credentials than actually exporting pages. I used with WP version 4.9.8 with default editor. I think that there might be a lot of issues if using WordPress 5.0+, or a theme that uses sections of a page editor though. YMMV

Thanks for the plugin!

It’s only working if you create a free account and imput App SID & App Key! Read FAQ.
]]>Rating: 5 stars
It’s working fine.

Doesn’t work. The website you need to register at is down with many 404 errors. When exporting, it delivers corrupted/blank files. Worthless plugin.

Got blank pages and when it finally worked the document was bad ??
Went for Blogbooker which did a very nice DOCX of my blog.
