NO! There is nothing “cool” or “great” or “solid” about this plugin, as some posts say. It’s just a good idea for a plugin that the author chose to abandon rather than develop. Strangely however, on his website he prides himself for it when in reality it’s an embarrassment. I uploaded mp3s to my pages and posts, as he instructs, and nothing works as expected.
For those looking for continuous music while browsing different pages of your website, look to SCM Music Player. It works flawlessly.

This is the only mediaplayer I found that continues playing while browsing the site. I was quite enthousiastic about it but:
– It makes scroling impossible on iPad.
– It adds /#/ to the site-address.
– It makes the addition of a favicon impossible.
It has cost me hours to find out that in each of these cases the audiobar was the culprit. So its a pity, but for the near future I’m not gonna try to add audio to my sites again.

I run a popular music blog and used Audiobar for the past year or so and it’s honestly been a love/hate relationship. With the most recent 3.8.1 update in WP, it became beyond too difficult to troubleshoot and fix and more. (See other recommendations/alternatives for players below)
Pros:
– Great player
– Continuous playback for track after track
– Relatively easy install
Cons:
– Zero, I mean ZERO support from the developer. (He’ll openly tell you sorry, I don’t support it – good luck)
– NO mobile/tablet support/functionality
– Alters the HTML/DIV classes of your site
– Created multiple scroll windows on my site
Conclusion:
This used to be great plug-in, but with lack of support and outdated design/features – it’s time to move on. I switched to the EX.FM player, even though it hasn’t been updated in quite some time either. Otherwise a JS player would be optimal with a bit of code to sent the player to the next track.
– Just my Opin.

I want to give it a higher rating but unfortunately it breaks the responsive design of one’s WP site once installed. In other words, the iframe wrapping makes the app incompatible with mobile devices and, for that reason, I am unable to use it.

Very cool product, destroys mobile app production for pagelines but is a very cool product and does a good job at what its meant for. The author notes issues with with compatibility of jetpack however I have no issues.
Solid product!

Audiobar works but I believe it is preventing my site from google’s web crawl due to the iframe wrapping. This is the only reason I can see that would explain why the site still isn’t showing up. I see someone else has had the same problem, can you recommend a solution?
