I love that Authy is available for WordPress sites as a plugin, giving non-developers each access to 2 step verification for their WordPress sites. I love this app, but it misses of the most common features like ability to receive fallback SMS if the Authy app is not available on the user’s phone at a certain time, or the ability to generate application-specific-password, let’s say when I am trying to add my WordPress site to IFTTT, I need an application-specific-password. I reached out to Authy customer support team and they have no clue about this plugin, what?

Upon entering a phone number in a user profile and clicking ‘Submit/Update’, everything stay unchanged and the number is not saved.

Kindly consider making TFA available for specified user levels, or roles. Meaning before users sign-up.

Do a better job!
Having a plugin appear as 10 months out of date is not a good thing.

I’ve just compared few 2FA plugins. Authy is one of my favorite.
Their mobile app is amazing too!
There is small inconvenience after you install their app, because first you need to register it, but after that it’s really, really amazing!
5 starts!

This plugin hadn’t been updated for quite some time, but it’s always worked for me. Regarding complaints that it’s not free: 1) I’ve used it for a couple of years and never paid. My sites are under the usage threshold where I’d have to pay. 2) Since Twilio bought Authy, it’s become even more free for low use sites.
I was excited to see that there was an update, mostly just to know it’s still alive. The OneTouch feature is great! No more typing in Auth Codes. Just an Allow/Deny on my iPhone app. The Approve/Deny process itself is a bit kludgy. I was hoping for a quicker way to get to the Approve/Deny screen, but it’s about the same number of taps as it was to get to the Auth Code. Still, much quicker than typing in the code. I don’t think my Apple Watch will let me do Approve/Deny, though – just the codes.

Works great. It’s a nice touch to be able to add custom logos to your sites. They look nice in the Authy app. ??

I use authy to sign into a major website because authy is what they offer for two factor authentication. So far so good. So I thought I would add that to my wordpress site. The authy description in wordpress says “get your FREE api key”, doesn’t say anything about just being a 30 free trial. Didn’t need to go to authy’s website to sign up for a key for the other site, but ok. So I take the time to sign up at authy, still no mention of it being a PAID plugin (unless it was buried in the terms of service somewhere, which is probably why you have to go to their site, WP probably wouldn’t allow it) go back to my site and put in the api to find I just signed up for a 30 free trial so I should “enter my credit card info.”
If you want to peddle paid plugins on wordpress, you should disclose that. If you had disclosed it was only a free trial, I would not have installed it and would have just moved on to the many free plugins instead. I feel not disclosing it’s a paid plugin until after siging up is decptive. Authy, you owe me 15 minutes of life.

I gave it a bad review first because it asks a credit card for the free plan too, but i changed my mind quickly when i started using it.
