]]>Hi there, first, congrats for this plugin it looks very nice and simple.
I am having two problems that I am not sure if they have been previously addressed:
1) In general my posts will have images, but I dont want the images nor to be listed or displayed in the attachment area. How can I achieve this?
2) Another problem I am having is that when I try to press a button on the Plugin′s options to switch it from Yes <> No, the button does nothing. I tested this on latest version of Chrome and on Internet Explorer, with the same behavior unfortunately.

I’m using WP 3.5, and after the update to AutoAttachments I’m not able to insert links anymore, in the edit/add new post page.

I tried to deactivate Auto Attachments and all went normal. So for sure it is a problem with this last update.

I installed and activated the plug-in Auto attachments because I was having trouble inserting a Powerpoint file into one of my site pages. OK, what I have now is a link in the page which invites a visitor to download the file, and when I did run the dowload, my file went straight into my Powerpoint program before I could run it. Really I don′t want to annoy people who visit my site. I just need the .ppt file to run within my site, and not outside it. I wonder if anyone might help me to achieve my objective, please? I set title before attachment as <h2>Download</h2> to make things easier but there is some post in my site that does not have any attachment and the tag Download is shown as if pointing to Adsense

Not sure if this is a duplicate of “Disable the images only to show” but the EG-Attachments plugin allows admins to choose not to show images in the list of attachments – presumably this is because images already appear in the body of a post and don’t need repeating at the end.
This would be a great feature for Auto Attachments – it would mean that users wouldn’t have to learn how to configure short-codes to filter the attachments. In fact, I just want the attachments to appear by magic whenever a user attaches things to a post – my users won’t even know what a short-code is.
This is especially so for me as I want to put images in posts (and not have them appear as attachments) and I want to attach documents to meetings (and have them show up).
Thinking ahead, it would be good to be able to include / exclude certain post types from showing auto-attachments at all, as CollabPress (for example) already shows its own attachments in a project page/post, so it would be good to be able to switch off auto-attachments for this post type. In fact, it would be good to be able to select only those post types I need – namely calendar events.

Awesome plug-in! Does it work (or can it be enhanced to work) with custom post types? In my case, I want to organize meetings using an events calendar and have meeting materials as attachments to the meeting event… but the event is a CPT and doesn’t show the attachments (I’m using Timely All-In-One calendar but I suspect this could be the same for any CPT).
It sounds simple but can you do it?

PS. It might be worth allowing the user to configure which CPTs get auto attachments because other plugins (like the project management plugins out there) already have a way of displaying attachments. Most plugins do not, hence the need for your excellent Auto Attachments btw.

When I add files to a post, WP already shows as attachments with the post. Now with the plugin, WP shows it and your plugin shows it besides the original ones in the post itself :S so duplicate attachments.. How can I disable WP posts’ attachments?
