I’m working on a blog that’s got too many tags, so I’m deleting some of them (from the post AND then from the Tags list).
After the tag is deleted, the Auto Redirect plugin interface tells me it’s redirecting a new tag url — but not the for the tag I just deleted.
For example, I delete the tag “oranges” and Auto Redirect is now redirecting:
https://www.mysite.com/blog/index.php/tag/apples
This would be a perfect plugin for my use, but I can figure out what’s going on here — any suggestions? Thanks very much.

]]>First, thanks for this great plugin!
Once a redirect is made after deleting a post or page, how do you remove the redirect in case you want to re-use that url?
Also, is there a way to only affect Posts and not Pages.
An ability to modify these options would be greatly appreciated.
]]>I wonder if we can add this feature: 301 redirection even for posts already trashed.
I (like many others…) discovered this plugin when I went to Webmaster Tools and found many errors. This means my posts were ALREADY moved to the trash. But the plugin doesn’t recognize them, so now if I want a 301 redirect header I need to recover them and then trash them again.
Imagine this procedure for hundreds or thousands of posts: not so easy.
Hope the author finds this suggestion useful. Thanks a lot for your great work!

]]>I really like your plugin, works well.I have a big site and have a lot of 404 errors from deleted posts and tags around 40k.This plugin is what I am looking for.I am not developer but I have a few questions about the plugin and hope you will help.
1. does this plugin modify the .htcaccess file? for all urls that have been 301’d? I am worried that with the amount of 404’s i have it would create a large file and slow my site.
2. On the settings page i notice it logs all the URL’s , where is this information stored? could it slow my site if their are a lot of them?
3. would you ever consider making a change to plugin to have a option not to list the old URL’s? so user could decided not to list them if they want.
