Hi, Prebhdev
congrats for this plugin.
Just have tried it and it is what i need, but there is a small issue. I put some URL in the content, the image is uploaded to the library and everything is great. But when I remove the image from the content I can no longer use it from the library for featured image. It removes it automatically.
So can you put some check for existing featured image. This way is comfortable even if you want to use some other image or upload by yourself.

Hello,
Thank you for your plugin.
I have noticed that for old post without featured image I have to manually update them to get your plugin to work.
Is there a way to bulk update a list of posts ?
I have tried with wordpress’ default bulkedit options but it doesn’t change anything.
Thank you for your help,
Akinori

Hi Prebhdev Singh !
Your code is pretty clever, I like it ! Clean and short…
I did develop my own plugin (forking yours) to do what yours is doing, but… I had it erased by an hard drive crash after lots of hours working on it.
I had some nice ideas for it and would like to suggest them to you, as I would really like to see them in your plugin (since I have no more time – and motivation – now to start my own version from scratch again).
Those were my main ideas :
Hope you will like the ideas ! Give me your feedback on it !
While this plugin is useful for posts that do not have a featured image, I would prefer that it first CHECK if a featured image is set before running. As it is currently written, when I have a post with a featured image set and no image in the body of the post, the plugin forces the featured image slot to be blank (i.e., no image shows up on my posts).

First of all..i love the plug in. It is exactly what i am looking for and works wonderfully..
..except for one little problem, that is a big one for me!
I post by email often, which is great, because i simply email into the body of the mail, and your plug in takes care of the rest. The problem is, unless I either open the post in my wp-admin, or have it emailed as a draft, and then manually switch it to “published”… the image in the body shows up fine, but the featured image does not.
like i said..if i just simply open the post in admin and update, it becomes the featured image.
is there a way that this can work without having to open the posts?
thanks!

So this might not be the result of ASRI, but when I disabled the plugin it stopped happening. So I think it would be worth investigating.
I created a post with a photo gallery. The images were not separately inserted… they only appear within the post [gallery].
I noticed that every time I update the post, a new empty photo appears within the gallery.
(under the screen where you can see the members of the gallery and edit settings Edit Post > Visual Editor > select gallery > Click the photo icon to edit).

Hi, great idea for a plugin.
However, I’m having some problems using it with my Smugmug hosted images due to the way it translates % symbols in the URL.
Here’s what happens. I insert an image
https://etchedinpixels.smugmug.com/Things/Still-Life/i-WrrB5bg/3/M/Giant%20peach%20moktak%3F-M.jpg
And the plugin uploads it to my site as
https://etchedinpixels.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Giantpeachmoktak%3F-M.jpg
However, WordPress then fails to load the image, it returns a 404.
I found that the URL needs to be entered as
https://etchedinpixels.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Giantpeachmoktak%253F-M.jpg
Note that in the browser any % in the filename needs to be changed to %25 the plugin isn’t doing this when inserting the URL into the post.
I’m going to see what I can do to fix the code but I barely know anything. I’ll post if I have a solution. Thanks for all the great work.

Hello,
Just a perfect awesome plugin and exactly what I was looking for. Altho i have a slight problem.
I have installed FeedWordPress to automatically download rss feeds and post on my page. Everything works fine during the initial fetching and posting of a new rss feed, but when that is done and I leave it to itself, your plugin does no longer work and the posts just contains text. See inspiration.se for referens and don’t forget to go back to older post to see it working.
And again, thanks so very much for an awesome plugin, keep up the good work!

heya,
The plugin is great and does its work like it should.
I noticed it downloads nonsense images like smiles and flattr buttons, so i was wondering; do you plan on specifying (albeit in source) a minimum width or height for downloaded images?
