Is there a way to exclude YouTube Shorts videos in the auto importer?
Thanks in advance!
]]>For some reason, I have a couple issues.
1. The plugin is importing Russian/Chinese channel videos – I don’t even know what channel those are
(so I have to go in and delete them all, everytime it imports)
2. On the Scheduled Imports page, it says “Cannot find channel name”
I have my channel setup just fine.
I have to currently disable it for now, until either 1. Can get this fixed or 2. I just can’t use it.
It just makes it look like my site was hacked cause of all the Russian and Chinese videos its importing.
I have uploaded the zip file for the pro version (purchased today) but it has no settings appearing in WordPress. I can find no documentation on the setup process for the pro version of this plugin but I have paid for it. How do I configure the pro version?
]]>Hello,
When I run initial import I set up the channel ID and it works fine, the videos from the channel are imported as expected.
But then, probably when cron job is executed I see videos from other random channels. It seems like the channel ID is not stored and not used. Also if I go to the /wp-admin/tools.php?page=youtube-importer-secondline
page I don’t see the channel ID I used. The input uses some random ID as a placeholder
Is there a way to fix that?
Thanks you
I am building a website in elementor, and would like to know if there is a way to import just the src of the iframe into a custom field, instead of the entire iframe, so that I can place this URL dynamically into the elementor video widget. Is this something that is possible by editing the plugin? If not, it is totally something you should add.

]]>Hey, great plugin, it was really helpfull.
There are some notices when used on a server with php 8.1.18, maybe you can address them (or maybe the source may be on my end?):
Thank you!

]]>Hi – I’m in the process of re-populating my YT channel content. I had to delete the previous post types: videos and podcasts. There were 100+videos in each. I did catch a message pop-up that said ‘this will not delete uploaded files’. So I am now in a position where I need to start over and It won’t let me re populate my channels content because it claims it is still there. Where do I find it, so I may delete permanently and repopulate?
Appreciate your help!
Greets:
I have the latest version of Auto YouTube Importer, using it for the first time on my WP site. I have set up most everything successfully, but when I clicked on the Import button, I get a “Cookie Check Failed” error.
I could use some guidance on sorting out the error. Thanks!
]]>Hi! I tried the free version of this plugin, it’s great, yet I cannot find an option to automatically categorise the WP posts according to the YT playlist. For example, if there are three playlists in YT, i.e. Playlist A, Playlist B and Playlist C, I would like to import videos in Playlist A to category A in WP.
Would it be possible in the Pro version?
]]>If I create a standard WordPress post (using blocks) and embed a YouTube video, it embeds appropriately i.e. displays full width:
However, the embeds this plugin creates don’t seem to be the same. It looks like it embeds some custom code using the “Classic editor”:
Please can you update this plugin to use the latest block-based embed method for YouTube videos?
