Not sure what happened but now it seems I’m limited on the amount of rules I can have and probably 1/2 of my category rules are now gone. Whenever I try to add another rule, fill in the info, and then hit save it just refreshes the page and the rule isn’t there so now I can’t create any rules either.
]]>Hello,
Why doesn’t the logic work when a product has multiple categories, and you want both “is exactly” and “is not exactly” to apply?
For example:
The issue arises because when a product belongs to multiple categories, the “is exactly” condition requires an exact match to only ‘category 1’. However, since the product is also assigned to other categories, it doesn’t satisfy the strict “exact match” condition.
Similarly, the “is not exactly” condition fails because it expects the product to belong only to a specific category that is explicitly different from ‘category 2’. If the product has additional categories, the logic doesn’t work as intended.
A possible solution would be to check for “contains” or “does not contain” instead of “is exactly” and “is not exactly”.
]]>Hello everyone,

]]>First, I want to thank you for creating the Automatic Product Categories for WooCommerce plugin. It’s been incredibly helpful in managing my store with thousands of products. However, I’ve noticed a few areas where the plugin could be enhanced, and I’d like to share some suggestions that could improve usability for users managing large stores like mine:
These features would make the plugin significantly more user-friendly and efficient for those managing large inventories.
Thank you for considering these suggestions. I appreciate your hard work and dedication to improving the WooCommerce ecosystem. If you’d like additional details or feedback on these ideas, I’d be happy to assist.
Best regards,
MJ
Hello,
After i setup some rules ive deleted some categories. When i go to the plugin config i get an error.
“A critical error has occurred on this website. Check your management email inbox for instructions. If you continue to have problems, try the support forums.”
So this plugin is not working anymore when you delete categories who were connected with a rule.
Can you fix this bug?
Best regards
Frank

Thank you very much !
]]>Great plugin and is working well as we add or amend products. We want to push it a bit further and automate the product list showin in our categories for Best Sellers and New arrivals.
For new arrivals we need something like if last edit date or last stock qty change date < today – 30 (days) then assign to the New Arrivals category. And obviously vice, versa to remove items.
For best sellers, something along the lines of top 10 products by sales unit volume in a group of categories (or excluding a specific group of categories)
Just wondering if this is possible?
]]>Hi, thank for the great plugin. Just what I needed.
I’ve created a rule that looks for a Brand name in the product title and then allocates that product to a brand category
I’ve created another rule that looks for a spec in the product title and allocates the product another category.
The first rule is working. The 2nd rule gets ignored.
So only the first matching rule will work – is that correct?
