Just installed.
I see the ‘Aviary Options’ under Forms menu, but it shows a blank page when clicking on it.
(wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf_aviary_options)

In form editor, I see the ‘Aviary Editor’ field under ‘Advanced Fields’
When adding such a field in a form, the field seems to have only the generic options under the ‘General’, ‘Appearance’ and ‘Advanced’ tabs.

I have still saved the form for testing.
On front end the form fails to fail altogether.

Leon, let me know what other details you may want to know to debug this.

I have installed the gravity form plugin and the Aviary 3.0 Beta version.

Whem I try to go on the Form -> Aviary Options tab I get the error:

I tried to disable all the plugins and left only the Grafity Form and the Aviary activated but that didn’t give any results.

I was wondering if I can install the 2.2 version instead of this one since this is in the beta phase or maybe you can fix this issue.

Is there a way to only display a few of the tool options that appear when you upload a photo? I really only need, say, the crop tool. Everything else would just confuse users. I selected the crop tool over in my Adobe Creative SDK account, but no change.

I also added this as a test to an existing form. Now that I’ve deleted that element, my form no longer displays unless I deactivate the plugin. Is that normal?

Hi,

I am using the plugin as part of product addon to edit images on front end. Everything works get and looks fine but when I place the order and review the order it does’nt populate in the order area for woocommerce.

For instance when i used anotehr tool just for uploading an image when I recieved an order it would include the link to image that has been uplaoded. Are there any settings to allow this. Mine is a image printing woocommerce website with gravity forms.

So the new updates look great…but (silly me) I just blindly did an update without reading the releases notes so (as you point out) I’ve lost Instagram functionality.

Now, normally I could just download a previous version right here on www.ads-software.com but for some reason the previous versions have disappeared! Any chance I could get hold of the last version please?

I have installed this and got the API key. I made a test form where the only field is the aviary picture. I “choose file”, and then “submit” and I get

Hey Leon, is there any thinking of feature of file size limitation you can add?
If i per-define an exact file size limitation for aviary field like this:

it will help a lot if I define the exact file size prior to upload. It will not take long time to user to resize the picture on aviary.
Plz try to add an option on ‘aviary option’ for file size limit (now you have limited this to preview)

I’ve refactored most of the old code. The plugin is now in Beta release so please post your issues and bugs in this thread.

Here’s why you would want to install this release:
* Refactored a majority of the plugin code. It is now much cleaner, efficient, and optimized.
* Added the ability to switch between light and dark editor theme.
* You can now add multiple fields to a form and edit each uploaded image individually.
* Image Preview and field value stay intact after validation errors occur.
* Addressed other minor bugs/issues.

Here’s why you wouldn’t want to install it just yet:
* Do not install if you are using facebook and instagram features from previous versions and they are still working.
* Make sure to revisit Aviary Options and add either px or % values to the end of your preview height and width values.
* While there are some breaking changes, this new version solves a lot of various problems and limitations from before.
* Please report any bugs or issues you are having in the support threads.

Aviary Image Editor is Excellent and Fantastic Add-on for Gravity Form.
I have faced a different types of problem in one of my site.
The site got configured with

in .htaccess file for denying unauthorized access of upload folder without log-in.
In that case, aviary field uploads the file as usual but can’t edit file on pop-upped editor panel of adobe aviary. I understand that aviary editor sends the file to adobe site and does the edit as user does. how to initialize the adobe for accessing the file and edit without disabling the .htaccess functionality?

I found that, aviary field gone hide on another fields validation failure.

suppose I have 2 fields on form, 1st one is a required text field, 2nd is Aviary editor field.
if I mistakenly leave 1st field blank and uploaded file on 2nd field then press submit, validation error came on 1st field, aviary preview with browse button are gone.
same things happened to aviary fields also.
if I fill 1st field and miss 2nd field (aviary, aviary field gone blank. its showing only label.
may be its my problem or not?

Bro, I have added this add-ons to my site. You have pointed me that i have to install GF. okey its fine. I am using Gravity form since 1.2 version. I am also a paid user of Gravity View. Basically I am working on forms since last 3 years.
I have tried to your add-on on 5 of my sites. none of them working. Its showing me ‘Wait a second…’ for last two days. Thousands of thousand seconds gone, nothing happening. my client are gone.

This update addresses Aviary’s merge into the Adobe Creative SDK API. You must now acquire your Web SDK API Key from Adobe at Adobe Creative SDK site for it to work.

Is it possible to specify the image as the initial image to use rather than having them upload?

I also noticed that if there’s a required field missing when you submit the form, the edited / uploaded image disappears (which might be fixed in the pending upcoming release you mentioned)

Hi,

Is it possible to set a pre-determined crop template up?, example would be I want all images to be cropped to 500px x 500px. I know there is an option to type in dimension manually but to rely on users doing this isn’t ideal.

I would like to remove or hide the other crop size options aswell.

Great plugin!

I’m just having three issues:
The manual upload image is not working. When I select an image to upload, it shows the ‘Wait a second…’ block, but then nothing happens.

Also, for the Instagram uploader, the fancybox was popping up with my Instagram images, but I couldn’t select an image. I checked the console log and when I click an image it logs: Uncaught ReferenceError: preview_height is not defined on gform-aviary.js line 177.
Once I comment that line out it works. But I thought you should know.

And last issue, once I’ve selected an image, there is no way to remove it. Only an ‘Edit photo’ button.

Would really appreciate your help ??

We recently released an update (long over due) to our beloved/broken plugin. This update addresses a few issues concerning the plugin’s functionality.

First off, the code needed to be compatible with the latest versions of jQuery, so we fixed that. Next was the facebook and instagram buttons. They stayed no matter what. Now they are not created unless the api key has been added in Aviary Options.

Corrected a couple spelling issues and ensured comparability with WordPress.4.0, however much work still has to be done on the presentation of the facebook and instagram album browser. Facebook’s permission system is a bit different with the latest API than the old one, so we’re waiting for approval before we can test and fix that stuff.

We have updated the Aviary API to the latest v3.0. This solves a lot of issues working on mobile devices and gives it a more modern look.

Everything works fine, except for the text editor.

I named it and then set up Aviary settings but nothing happens at all. Have API key etc

Hi there – great plugin and hopefully I’ll be able to use it if I can get this bug ironed out.

Whenever I upload a .png the editor says “no supported file” and won’t upload it. Jpegs, no problem but always this with pngs.

Any idea what I need to do to fix it?
