There are several plugins that use the Aviary API yours, one sold by Green tree labs on Code Canyon. I love the program but in the new wp version you click edit, the picture loads but the circle spins around and around meaning it is not loading right to edit. Hope you can fix this.
Thanks. Mark
How do I get my api key? I clicked the link in the plugin and registered on your site but now option to get the key???
Thanks, Mike
Hello,
This is great! Is there a way to get the newly-saved image into an Amazon S3 bucket instead of the default WordPress upload folder?
Even further, can this edit an image from a URL – for instance, an Amazon S3 bucket file (image)?
This would greatly keep things less bloated since the addition of new images will in turn make more images in addition. The default action of WordPress is to make copies of the new image added to the upload folder that will include at least three thumbnail versions/recreations of the same image.
Original image: 1 (+) 3 more thumbnails = 4
New edited image: 1 (+) 3 more thumbnails = 4
[…you’ll now have a total of 8 images out of 1 image!]
…yes is good to display a smaller version for browsers, but in good practice it should be that already before you upload it. ??
This means that if you have 100 images, it’ll quickly turn into 800..!!
If you’re on a shared hosting environment, I think most people are you’re bloating your account, not to mention your WordPress installation.
Amazon S3 would be fantastic to save the new image and serve it that much faster and that much efficiently.
Kind regards.
]]>Hi!
Great Plugin – works perfectly!
I′m having 2 suggestions for making it even better:
1. The images are being copied and saved as a new image at the moment. It would be cool having an option to override the image – saves disk space and time so you don′t have to cleanup the library later.
2. A hook for the button on pages where you edit an image e.x. …/wp-admin/media.php?action=edit&attachment_id=16445 would be great. When you click the button “Edit image” below the thumbnail the Aviary editor should start instead of the build in editor.
Keep on the good work!
Jan
Any tips on how I can remedy this?
