Mar of 2021, even though WP shows no updates for last x major releases, this plugin still works. If you want to get it working outside of a widget, you’ll want to spend time researching the plugin author’s examples for shortcodes. Got it working flawlessly. Thanks for this good looking weather plugin. It’s very adjustable (i.e.: number of days forecast, dynamic background image based on current weather, etc.) and responsive and can be set so that it defaults to either a specific location or the visitor’s location with default fallback location. Uses OpenWeatherMaps easily and free for up to a certain number of API calls. Overall good plugin.

Very simple and stylish widget, which help me to do my task very fast. Thank you!

This plugin was just what I needed! I recommend upgrading to the pro version as it allows you to use Dark Sky weather instead of openweathermap. The price is reasonable and you’ll get more accurate weather data.
The developer has been very kind. I recommend!

So I just downloaded this easy awesome weather widget one hour ago and been trying to set it up ever since. Download was the only easy part, followed by registration on their web site to obtain an API key. And what a website it is. Mess. Needed 10 minutes to find where the API key is. Almost quit… Then happy and armed with my brand new API key in clipboard I go and paste it right in. FINALLY. Opening widget settings again and filling my city name as requested. The city was not found it said. Try something like “London or New York” was written bellow, so I did. London I searched. Not found. So I googled it. Then I saw that it is a long term problem no one is talking about and on their support forum they say you need to download cities ID’s and use an ID of your city. I click on the link and there opens a list of city packages. Unclear list. In zip RAR formats. WELL, how about NO? All this trouble and I’m not even sure I’m gonna like the style of the widget. So yea, one star.

Does not allow for geolocate to populate location, only allowed as a fixed location.

Can not find cities (this widget)

no simple instruction how to use it

Very few features and customisations… very little data on display

It will grab the weather and display it, but none of the other options work. Want to switch from tall to wide display? Too bad. Want to change the font color? Good luck, the color picker never appears. I’m giving it an extra star for actually retrieving weather data, but nothing else works.

Doesn’t work, hard to understand, limited help and support features. Oh my god it’s so awful. Such a disappointment!

perhaps it needs an update, but I see it was updated only 2 weeks ago.
Shame, I really wanted to include it in my site, might have gone pro, had it worked…

Nothing worse than jumping through hoops, giving your email because you have to create an account to use it, and then the thing doesn’t work.
Doesn’t find any city, no matter what you put in. It doesn’t work.

I had 2 issues: Firstly, i added neighbor region because it didn’t include mine (however there is a custom title to at least mention it). Secondly, i would prefer “Widget Title: (optional)” to be translatable (i.e. to have a text domain, so i could translate the optional title).
I rate this plugin 5 stars because it is free and fits well on websites with a modern look.

When I was looking for a weather widget for my client’s site, I wanted something that was clean, modern looking, and easy to use. This widget did the trick. Was easy to sign up for an API key and get the widget working. I like that there are a bunch of different options to display in the widget for forecasts from 1 to 5 days or none. It’s a good widget. The only thing I wish is that they had a piece of code to pop into a header with just the temperature and whatever icon for sun/rain/cloud/snow.
