it is well installed on my blog I explored the 3 headings but I can’t find any place to go back and ban the IP addresses of my stalker?

]]>Hi Jeff and thanks for this plugin.
I have a question, more to learn how to exploit it for my needs.
Is there any way to get an alert if two accounts share the same IP?
Or if one account is connecting through a VPN or proxy?
Thanks for the answer and again thanks for the plugin.

Is there a way I can use regex or some other way to deny access/registration for all emails ending with “.ru” using this plugin.

In the last few days I have been getting hammered from the tor exit node list going to my affiliate login page and trying to create fake accounts.
]]>Why do I have hundreds of visits from my own IP to different directories of my wordpress with banhammer-process_ description: /wp-admin/network/cloud.php?banhammer-process_XXX. Like if it were scanninng all my directories searching for cloud.php?banhammer-process…?

]]>I can see the notice it is not supported on multisite, but is that something that is being worked on or not?
I mainly need the feature to block burner email addresses.
For some reason when adding just the words like “nude”, “naked”, “xxx” etc. it still allows users to register with emails like [email protected] or [email protected] etc.
]]>@specialk
As your plugin says it can monitor site traffic, is there a way for me to tap into Banhammer or Pro to monitor visitor’s bandwidth usage?
Specifically bandwidth usage of video play?
If not, with your knowledge I’m sure you can point in the right direction for this.
is 2 days now that it gives me critical errors every time i try to switch users with Switch user plugin
This is the error
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: call_user_func_array(): Argument #1 ($callback) must be a valid callback, function “banhammer_remove_query_args” not found or invalid function name in /home/admin/domains/seeme.baby/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:308
]]>Hi, thanks for the plugin. I have some questions:
What exactly are the “Protect WP Login Page” and “Protect WP Admin Area” doing?
Will the pro-version be faster when it comes to loading requests in the Armory?
And I can see from my Matomo (Statistics) that MANY, or almost all of the requests showing up in “Banhammer” as requests to wp-login.php and requests from contries like Pakistan, India, Russia etc.. they do not show up in Matomo.
Why is that?
And I installed your plugin yesterday, so far I’ve gotten at least 100 wp-login.php visits from different abusive ip’s. Which I have banned.
Does every woocommerce installation experience this, or is this more than average. What should be done about it?
Also – being a Norwegian, it’s cool seeing that you used the real names – Gjallarhorn, ?ks etc ??
]]>Hi,
in version 2.8 there is a possible bug.
Adding an address like “[email protected]” it ban also address like “[email protected]”.
Is actually impossibile to block an address without blocking other address that have same string as final part of address.
I’ve rewrited your banhammer_drop function to avoid the problem.
Please fix it.
I read some reviews about it not working with multisite, does it work now?

Is this plugin compatiable with Both BBQ & Wordfence ? Can i use these together?
Current version of plugin resets database when visiting settings page. Also randomly resets database even though it is set to never reset.
]]>I do not know the reason why the big regular expression is used (and where it is from) to check if a string is an IPv6 address. Also I am not sure why the regular expression tries to match a string with optional whitespace characters at the beginning and end of it.
But I think filter_var with the correct flags is a much better and faster solution.
See the time values at https://3v4l.org/FS5fJ
When I use the User Switching plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-switching/) to switch to a user everything works fine until I try to switch back to my Admin account. When I do I get the error “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” but can go to the wp-admin page and it loads my Admin account just fine. Disabling Banhammer stops the issue from occurring.
]]>Ever since the update to WordPress 5.5, I have been getting this error on my websites:
Deprecated: get_option was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 5.5.0!
Doing a backtrace I traced it back to this plugin:
require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-load.php'), require_once('wp-config.php'), require_once('wp-settings.php'), include_once('/plugins/ban-hammer/ban-hammer.php'), BanHammer->__construct, get_option, _deprecated_argument
I sent question mail through the https://plugin-planet.com/banhammer-pro/ last week. but I didn’t get reply. So I am writing them again.
I am considering to buy bbq pro.
Based on BBQ pro, I have two question
1) Does Banhammer have the function of a black hole? Are the functions of each other overlapping?
2) If I install both Banhammer(pro) and blackhole(pro) additionaly, then they will still lightly work than other plugin(ex ithemes security)?
Is there a way to manually add ip addresses to the banned list or can I only select bans from a list?
]]>Hello,
Is there an option how long a user can be banned? I would just like to suspend some users but not ban indefinitely. Is there an option to it? Thanks.
]]>I am facing an issue since I installed banhammer on my wordpress+woocommerce website. It seems that it is affecting cronjob woocommerce_cancel_unpaid_orders. Because of which pending orders are not cancelling on their own, even after 2-3 days.
As soon as I deactivated Banhammer, all the pending payment orders got cancelled. This problem started 3 days back when I installed banhammer. Can it be fixed??
]]>Nice plugin but you should strongly consider banning entire hostnames because hackers often change IPs often than you change your socks and it would be extremely time consuming to ban all bad ips in this world individually!
]]>Hi Jeff
Yesterday i tried to install another plugin from here called Ban Hammer too https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ban-hammer/ , the problem is it didn’t want to install because your plugin use the same classes. Could you do something about that for next update ? I ask you and not the other plugin author because hers has be avaiable on wordpress repository before yours.
Thanks
]]>Dear Jeff Starr,
I’m the admin of my blog. I think that my blog works perfectly, but recently I just discover the huge problem. Here is the story:
– Recently, I install “All In One WP Security & Firewall” plugin to protect my site. But by watching “Google Analytics Dashboard” there is a huge drop of traffic: (after I disable the plugin, the traffic goes up again)
– And I begin to investigate the problem. Is my site hacked? I looked for the “.lastlogin” in my root, and found it:
115.110.137.26 # 2018-03-20 02:35:10 -0600
115.110.137.26 # 2018-04-10 06:12:36 -0600
There is someone stranger who has access to my blog. Immediately, I changed my password. But I’m not sure that they injected something or not.
– And then I learn how to monitor the Log file. And I find your blog: https://digwp.com/2009/07/monitor-php-errors-wordpress/
– And then I find Banhammer. That is the true story!
—————
Here is my question?
– In your opinion, why the traffic drop? That means the plugin blocked “good traffic” or “bad traffic”?
– How to ensure that my blog is clean?
]]>I had a troll hit and THEN went to add your plugin.
Can I retroactively add this doofus without having to poke the DB?

When clicking on the IP URL link within Ban Hammer, the browser says that it cannot connect with “ip-api.com” website.

May I suggest that you try linking that particular plugin’s feature to use…
whatismyipaddress.com
FOR EXAMPLE :
https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/82.80.230.228
For example this website will show the hack result history for an IP like 82.80.230.228
