This plugin is awesome, and this is just an nice-to-have suggestion/feature.

Similar to the request by arthosan last year, what would it take to create a function that creates a button to mark all topics read across all categories?

I am using the bbPress setting “Forum root should show” with “Topics by freshness” as the choice. So in order for users to mark all topics as read and start with a clean slate, they currently have to dig in to each forum category and clear them one-by-one. My forum has many categories and child-categories, so this would take several minutes for each user. It would be awesome to have a function that I can place at the top or bottom of my “Topics by freshness” list that would mark everything as read. (My forum is a recent migration that currently has over 215,000 replies across 10,000 topics, so I’d imagine that the ajax loader would be necessary to keep for this function too, haha)

After 1000 replies, or 50 pages of 20 replies, plugin redirect to 1st post instead of 1st unread.

anyway to correct it?

First, thanks for this plugin. Impossible to run without this feature…
I have two questions or feature requests ??
1. I can only see the link to a knew answer, when I’m in the subforum.
Would be great to have a sign in the parent forum (may be bold forumtitle) to see in which subforum a new message was posted.
At the moment I have to go through all subforums to see the link to the newest message.

2. When I click on a topic with a new message it is automatically marked as “read”. Why do I need a link “mark as read” inside the topic?

I’m using WP4.1 and BBPress 2.5.4 and marking topics as read is not working ??

Link is appearing, but does nothing when I click on it (I added it on content-single-forum.php as mentioned on the installation instructions).

The “got o first unread post” link is working great.

I just installed this plugin to a forum that’s been in use for a little time now. Is there an easy way to mark all current posts as read to users? Now all posts are marked as unread to users even if they have read them prior the plugins installation.

Maybe I’m confused on how this works, but I’ve installed the plugin and when I click on a topic it doesn’t take me to the first unread. Am I missing something?

Hi. First of all thanks for your effort developing this plugin.

I am trying to change the appareance of the button that leads to the first unread post.

Taking a look at the code, i found the code line

so i checked the gtf-new-post class at the CSS and found

I tried to change the > character to a custom image or another string but nothing seems to happen.

Also, read about the hooks in your readme.txt file but I’m quite new at WP and easily get lost by the moment, so any hint on what should I do would be very appreciated.

Hi. Would you have any idea where to start troubleshooting if nothing at all changes after I activated the plugin.

I even added <?php gtf_mark_topic_read_link() ?> in loop-replies.php and nothing appears for that either.

So I am a little confused. I installed this plugin but when you read a thread, the arrow (link that takes you to first unread post) won’t disappear. However, on one out of 10 threads, it did disappear. I am not sure if the arrow disappeared when I read it or if it never had the arrow to begin with.

So when I click the arrow, and read the first unread posts, is the arrow suppose to disappear or does it still stay even though I have no unread posts.
