]]>I currently have an existing website and want to add a bbPress forum. But I don’t want to set my website so that “anyone can register,” as that lets in potential hackers. Does this plugin allow bbPress forum-only registration or do I have to allow open registration to the entire website?
Thanks so much in advance ??
]]>Do I have to give the plugin any special information to make the “User registration is currently not allowed” message go away? All I want it to do is put the “Log In,” “Register,” and “Lost Password” options at the top of a forum. I’m using WordPress 5.7.2 (running Twenty Twenty theme) and version 2.6.6 of bbPress.
]]>I am experimenting with some changes on my site which require the Log In/Out links on all pages rather than just the forum pages.
With another plugin I have achieved that, but I am unable to remove the links provided by bbPress Login Register Links On Forum Topic Pages. Hence on my forum pages (only) the links now appear twice.
I have tried two things:
1. Disabling the plugin
2. Using the Temporarily turn off all features option
Neither has the desired effect. How do I remove these links, either temporarily or permanently?
Thanks in advance.
John

The “Log Out” link does not redirect back to the forum area after logging out, it redirects to one of the forum boards.
]]>Hi,
Please note that the plugin throws the following errors in WordPress debug mode:
“Deprecated: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0.0! Usage of user levels is deprecated. Use capabilities instead.
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by <redacted>”
Can it please be updated to use the new method?
Thanks.
]]>Hi,
Nice plugin, thank you. However when I activate it, it places the links in the same row as the column titles and throws them off. You can see this here:
https://followtheboat.com/test2/
Is there not an option to place these outside of the forum, say above-right?
Thanks

]]>Hi Thomas
Thank you for your very useful plugin.
In the last few days a bug appears which disappears when I deactivate your plugin. I am using WP 5.0.3, Genesis theme 2.8.0 and the Genesis Sample child theme 2.3.0.
The bug – On non-forum pages the header displays the logo and the header right widget. But on the Forum pages no header right image displays – only the logo.
Can you help?
Thanks, Mark
]]>On one of my forums the 3 links are being outputted twice which looks odd. Is this a bug in the latest update?
]]>Hi Dears,
We just released bbpress login 2.4.1, in this version we added dedicated bbPress only sidebar, when users view your bbPress forums, bbPress pages, you can use dedicated bbPress sidebar to show bbPress only widgets, without writing any codes
Many users requested a dedicated bbPress sidebar, because in the current time, bbPress be designed to using wordpress sidebar, no bbpress sidebar, but in bbPress forums, there are a few things only releated with forum users, for example, recent topics, bbPress logged users… and so on, these things is important for bbPress users, but it is not helpful for users on wordpress side, so it is better to add a dedicated bbPress only sidebar.
This plugin works like this way:
# When users view wordpress pages(not in bbPress forums), nothing changed.
# When users view bbPress forums / bbPress pages, the plugin will detect all sidebars in your theme,
and replace the first sidebar as a dedicated bbPess sidebar automatically, no any code needed.
# In admin area, you will find a new “bbPress Sidebar”, you can just drag your widgets to this bbPress Sidebar, and these widgets will shown only in bbPress pages.
Thanks, have a blessings day with your family ??

]]>Is there a way to have the login, register, and lost password links in a widget? Is there some short of short code that will allow this?
Thanks.
]]>Has this been done, yet?
I see you have said you will look into it. But, my client has brought this to my attention. When users click “Login” within the forums and login, they are redirected to the site home page, not the page they were on in the forums.
Thanks.

Hi Dears,
In last version if you are running on a hosting which php version < 5, there are Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/pgdmbmesto/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bbpress-login-register-links-on-forum-topic-pages/bbpress-login-register-links-on-forum-page.php on line 30

I updated the plugin from 2.1.5 to 2.2.3 and the website was suddenly unavailable, the error was:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/pgdmbmesto/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bbpress-login-register-links-on-forum-topic-pages/bbpress-login-register-links-on-forum-page.php on line 30
So I restored the file bbpress-login-register-links-on-forum-page.php from backup and the website is accessible again.
The plugin states that I must update to version 2.2.3 but I will not ??
Hi Dears,
Based on user requests, I have added the feature of customize login / register / lost password links, In plugin Setting Panel, you can custom Login Links in admin area “bbPress Custom Login Links Settings” panel
If you want to use your own custom login links, you can enter your custom login link, for example “login”:
The “login” link above forums, will change from https://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php to https://yourdomain.com/login
The “register” link above forums, will change from https://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?action=register to https://yourdomain.com/login?action=register
The “Lost Password” link above forums, will change from https://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword to https://yourdomain.com/login?action=lostpassword
If you do not want to use custom login links again, you can just remove login link in “bbPress Custom Login Links Settings” panel
Fixed the icon error in admin area
Any more features is super welcome, I am happy to realize your feature request, thanks, have a blessings day with your family ??

]]>Hello,
I noticed that as long as I created a page for registration (mywebsite.com/register), the “register” link would work fine as long as I used the bbpress shortcode([bbp-register]).
Now, I also created a page with the bbpress shortcode: [bbp-lost-pass] for users to recover their password. I like this option because I can easily edit the page as any other page and also my users aren’t taken to the /wp-admin page. Is there any way that the plugin’s “lost password” link could work just like the “register” link to where I could just make my page slug match whatever page you direct the link to? Editing the /wp-admin page to match a websites brand is far more complicated for a lot of people. Also the /wp-admin address may seem strange to site visitors.
What do you think of this option?
All the Best,
Giancarlo
My bbPress forum login page is:

How can I make this plugin use the above URL for the “Login” link?

I have one question: a user told me the plugin name “bbPress Login Register Links On Forum Topic Pages” is too long, would you please give me some suggestion for a short name which can tell users plugin functionality better?
Other features is on the road, any feature request is welcome, thanks, have a happy day with your family. ??

Hi,
Great plugin.
One problem is that once i click “login” and go to the wordpress login page, i then get redirected (after logging in) to the main website page. https://www.apis.de and not the forum page https://www.apis.de/forum.
Or what would be even better is being directed back to the page i was on before so that i can immediately write a post and not have to search for it.
Would appreaciate any help here.
Thx
