Hi, I really like the plugin and it’s great to see google analytics data simplified. However, I wonder if this plugin keeps site google analytics information in its database. Because I’m worried that this plugin uses excessive resources on the website.
Also, I couldn’t find where to monitor traffic information for subsites in a multisite network, and the plugin is managed from the main site, not the network manager.
]]>Many of the page stats display incorrect figures of 0. Some figures display correctly, and the rankings order is correct, but the homepage at the top of the list, for example, shows 0 visits. This error is reflected in the dashboard Visitors report and in the Statistics Top Pages pane. Avg sessions also show incorrectly as 00:00:00 for the affected pages. We are running the plugin on 30 sites and the issue is evident across all of them, each with their own respective GA4 profile. This issue has been ongoing for us for approximately 6 months. Updating the plugin to the latest version 3.4.12 and WordPress to 6.5.3 does not alleviate the issue.
]]>Hi there
Reporting an issue regarding multisites.
I’ve got this running on my multisite where each site is separate on its own domain… and each of course has its own analytics code and related search console entry.
This works fine on the subsites, but now I note that the primary site’s Analytics is full of data from the other sites.
There I thought I was getting loads of traffic, but no… it’s just the other sites all merged in.
The Analytics data for the subsites is all separated and fine.
This is GA4 and everything is up to date with plugins and WordPress.

Hi, I’ve noticed that the Beehive stats page keeps defaulting to the Universal Analytics overview, even when UA it is not configured anymore and only GA4 is active.
Is this intentional?
]]>Never had an issue before, but suddenly in the most recent version of Beehive, it won’t allow me to Authenticate with Google to connect to a website. I’m using the “Connect with Google” button on the Account page, and then I choose my Google Account, then I get the “You are being redirect to https://www.mywebsite.ca” and I click the Continue button. I then am back on the Accounts page with an Error overlay stating:
“We couldn’t authorize your Google account. Please fill in your API information again, or connect with Google using the button in the side tab. If you’re still stuck, please?contact support?for assistance.”
Sometimes if I try again and use a different account I have it shared under, it will work, but on my latest website, it won’t connect to anything. I also don’t see the authorization screen where I usually have to check a bunch of boxes to allow Beehive to access all my Analytics data.
Can you help me get this sorted out? For now, I’m just manually putting the GA4 ID in, but that doesn’t allow my clients to see their Analytics data in the dashboard, which is the whole reason we use this plugin.
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
there are requests to googletagmanager.com like this https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-WHATEVER&l=beehiveDataLayer even when GTM isn’t configured in the settings.
These requests end with 404s and slow down page loading.
]]>When selecting a custom date range that spans more than 2 months, the report defaults to Dec 25 – Jan 3 instead. For example, selecting May 1, 2023 – Oct 31, 2023 shows only Dec 25 – Jan 3 of 2022/2023. If I set the dates to May 1, 2023 – June 30, 2023 it works fine. Any longer and we get the last week of December instead. Is this a known issue? I’ve confirmed it’s happening on 3 of my websites so far.
]]>In the analytics dashboard within Beehive isn’t showing data when I set the custom date range to 3 months it shows nothing but if I set it for 1 month or 2 months it shows data.
]]>When I go to select a GA4 profile from the dropdown, it doesn’t show up. The measurement ID is connected and I’ve tried logging out and logging back in. I’ve also waited months, so why do other GA4 profiles show up but not the one I want to add.
]]>I have a client website that I’m trying to connect there Beehive to their GA4 account, however after authenticating with their Analytics account (administrator privileges) the Analytics 4 profile isn’t available in the list even though it’s all setup and receiving data in GA4 account. Is there some reason only the old UA account would show and not the new GA4 account?
I’ve tried logging out of the account and back in, and even connecting to a different account that had Administrator privileges and no change. Is there a setting in GA4 that would prevent it from connecting to your plugin? I can use a different plugin like ExactMetrics and it will be able to connect to the same GA4 account, but I’d prefer to use Beehive.
]]>What UA settings doing in this plugin? Is it working with GA4?
]]>Hello, thank you for providing the plugin, i can confirm that is working.
Also having an issue regarding additional features. It could be because of other plugins, a trouble is to get Beehive analytics – plugin accessible to the other user roles, aside of the Admin user. I’ve it enabled Editor and Shop Manager within the plugin settings, but even after several caching levels cleared, those users are not having access to the Beehive analytics.
Can you advice how to make it working for the users as well?
Regards
]]>It is saying my Google Tag Manager code is incorrect when I know it is the correct one. It seems as if GTM code can now be one extra character than it used to be, but when I enter the GTM-XXXXXXXX code it says it is not valid. Please update this ASAP as I need to get the new GTM running on my site. I got my code directly off the GTM container.
]]>Why don’t you include “last 7” & last “30 days” as date range selectors for the traffic stats?
This is available on the GA website, so I think including it in your plugin makes sense. Besides that’s the stats I use most times.
I am in the process of trying to find a fault on my site, and in that process I have found three PHP warnings connected to Beehive that occur three or four times every minute, as follows:
[24-Jun-2023 02:16:32 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $file_name in /home/*****/sentlive.com/wp-content/plugins/beehive-analytics/core/utils/autoloader.php on line 70
[24-Jun-2023 02:16:32 UTC] PHP Warning: include_once(/home/*****/sentlive.com/wp-content/plugins/beehive-analytics): Failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/*****/sentlive.com/wp-content/plugins/beehive-analytics/core/utils/autoloader.php on line 74
[24-Jun-2023 02:16:32 UTC] PHP Warning: include_once(): Failed opening '/home/*****/sentlive.com/wp-content/plugins/beehive-analytics/' for inclusion (include_path='/home/*****/php:') in /home/*****/sentlive.com/wp-content/plugins/beehive-analytics/core/utils/autoloader.php on line 74
To my untrained eye it looks like the first error leads to the other two and is possibly some kind of typo where the variable name “$file_name” has not been adjusted to match a change elsewhere? Please advise, as I want to eliminate this in my attempts to find the fault in my site (I don’t think it is connected but I don’t know), and obviously ensure your plugin is working correctly.
]]>Hello, I’ve encountered some bugs when using Beehive Pro with GA4. In particular, when looking at top pages, some of the highest ranked pages will report session length and number of views as 0. This seems to increase when increasing the length of time viewed, i.e. “Last year” shows many more 0s than “Last week”. I’m also a bit confused why the “Bounce Rates” statistic is significantly lower when looking at GA4 data compared to UA data for the same site (in this case 0.46% compared to 63.44%.) It would lead me to believe there is some sort of error in calculating the metric. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can you add filters to your UA/GA4 controllers so that developers can customize the request before it get’s sent to google?
For some context, our organization has a large multisite install with about 800+ sites. We track everybody automatically in google analytics by having 1 google account, and all traffic from all sites being recorded in a single “network” view. If ever we need specific information about a particular site, we just filter by the domain used.
This plugin is so close to being usable by us. If I could just have a couple of wp filters that would allow me to add ga filter parameters, then I could have 1 single network wide account, with each subsite displaying data for just itself (instead of displaying data for the entire network).
For example, for this bit of code here.
// Found in: wp-content/plugins/beehive-analytics/core/modules/google-analytics/endpoints/v1/class-stats.php on line 63
// Get the stats.
$stats = $analytics->data_realtime->get(
'ga:' . $this->account,
'rt:activeUsers',
array(
'dimensions' => 'rt:deviceCategory',
)
);
it would be amazing if there was a filter that allowed me to add ga filters to the request, like this instead.
$optParams = apply_filters('beehive_ua_realtime_params', [
'dimensions' => 'rt:deviceCategory',
]);
try {
// Get the stats.
$stats = $analytics->data_realtime->get(
'ga:' . $this->account,
'rt:activeUsers',
$optParams
);
Ideally something like that would be added to all controller endpoints that make a google analytics api request, so that developers can modify the request.
]]>Hello guys from Beehive,
I have a question. On your docs, you say:
Note that if you have already integrated Google Analytics with your Google Tag Manager account, you do not need to connect Analytics to Beehive; the?Tag Manager container?you connect will handle that for?you.
But from my tests, if I have GTM and GA, I still need to connect Analytics to Beehive. If I don’t set up GA in the plugin, there is no data on the dashboard.
For example, now my Beehive is configured with GTM and also has my GA4 account and data stream setted.
Is that ok or is my website sending duplicate events?
Thank you!

Hi there,
I have tried setting up Content Grouping for my GA4 property. I have done the content groups by data layers (not by regex). I have set everything up correctly in GTM and they are firing and retrieving the correct values in preview mode on GTM. They are however not being sent through the Beehive Pro plugin. I know this because these values are not showing up in my debug view in GA4, and when I look through my dataLayer inspector extension, they are not being sent as I have a pageview event (as they should).
I do not want to have to take the plugin off my site to get the content grouping to work as it is crucial to my site.
Hopefully you are able to find a fix with this.
Thanks
