No plugins or custom themes installed on site, get error “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

Had the same error and you can see how long ago it was…
…
Oh, now I see it’s optional, so having said that the slider works just fine! It was difficult to understand what was needed to setup so I think the instructions could be a bit more clear regarding FavPress.

I found this plugin after another one I was trying out was conflicting with other stuff.
It worked perfectly out of the box, but my portrait images were far too long. I asked on the support theme and had a super quick reply with the perfect answer!
Highly recommend this plugin

I tried four other plug-ins that didn’t work and this worked seamlessly. So happy and satisfied.

To be honest I had some starting-difficulties, but the author helped me very fast in the support forums. Now it works like a charm, looks great and is easy to use.

I would simply suggest:
1. Do a check to see if the shortcode exists in the_content before outputting the additional 2 CSS and 2 JS files, no one wants to slow down every page on their site just to have this on some pages.
2. Removing the need (and nag) to install the additional plugin to get the shortcode generator to work.
For anyone who doesn’t realize you can see all of the available shortcodes in the plugin’s readme.txt, here they are:
Basic requirements to get it to work:
[image-comparator left=”your-image-url-here.jpg” right=”the-second-image-url.jpg”][/image-comparator]
[image-comparator left=”your-image-url-here.jpg” right=”the-second-image-url.jpg” left_alt=”alt text for the left image” right_alt=”alt text for the right image” title=”optional title” width=”150px” classes=”anything-you-want hover”][/image-comparator]
The plugin author recommends using fixed width images so the “width” should be set to a XXXpx not XXX%.
Adding classes=”hover” will enable the hover effect, so you don’t need to use the slider below the image.

I choose this plugin because users find it easy to use.
Before this plugin I tried the other one and got bad feedback from dumb users – my wife for one.
The fact that users only need to hoover their mouse over the photo is critical. And this plugin has the functionality.
The other plugin has a slider button over the photo. Intuitively my users could not figure this out.
But the slider at the bottom by Before After Image Slider Lite is simple and clear.
I am not going to use this plugin a lot because our business don’t use before and after a lot. I just use it to rant when I see bad interior photos.
But if I used it a lot I would have paid the developer for an upgrade.

Looking for a mobile ready image slider to replace TwentyTwenty

The plugin was easy to install, we had a few teething issues as it stood then with the instructions and it started to act weirdly when using a Page redirection for the “After”. It appeared after George from support got on the case that was just a little glitch they are fixing along with new instructions soon. (No need to had the [complete] shortcode to the landing/thank you completed goal page)
I must say I needed fast support for this project I am working on and George has totally saved me. He replied super promptly, nicely and fixed all there was to fix under a record time.
Thank you again.
A Happy customer ??

Like other users, this plugin crashed my site.
I have read the support forums and it has come up, but if you’re not a developer you won’t be able to fix it.
I was thinking of buying the premium version but after this, I absolutely won’t be.
If you’re thinking of donwloading this – DON’T!
I wish I could give 0 stars – one is too good.

At first I thought it didn’t work – turns out you have to read the doc different places and get all the info to see that it works – (vpress plugin and that the icon appears in the text editor for example. I think the doc can be written a bit better.
I would have liked a handle for swiping for visual purpose but this one is more of a wishlist – didn’t affect my ratings.
All in all as a free tool – its works really well.

This plugin accurately overlays images with no ugly dividing line, unlike those just implementing the standard jquery solution. Touch screen support is OK, but it’s not as intuitive as using a mouse with the classes=”hover” option selected.
The shortcode structure is simple and obvious, but a little “cheat” example on the plugin homepage would be helpful. There’s a third-party shortcode generator accessible from the visual editor only, which seems to work fine.
Support response time was excellent. The free version is fully functioning, but has limited features.

First, TGM Plugin Activation is used with its unchanged function name leading to function clashes. That’s what causes white screen issues. Even after doing the manual work it means you still have to manually download another plugin (a MODIFIED version of vafpress, so you’re now also stuck in a manual update loop, hoping the author will maintain his version).
Then it drops all dropdowns behind the modal dialog. That’s not just annoying, it makes the plugin unusable because there is no shortcode documentation that I could find.

It looked like just the thing. But after I activate it I don’t see the Shortcode generator and there are no examples here of what the shortcode looks like. Bummer.
