There seems to be no support for this any more as no one responds to support requests.

I installed this plugin. I registered a new users and received a link to change the password. I then logged in and it took me to the members page only, not the additional stages of setting up the profile.

Maybe there is a setting somewhere I should have changed.

I’ve installed the plugin on a new site. And it allows someone to sign up with their email and they receive the activation email fine. However, after filling out Step 1 and clicking “save and continue,” it doesn’t go to step 2.

It sends an email saying that the password has been changed. However, I can’t get it to go to the next step. Is this because it hasn’t been checked for compatibility with the latest WordPress?

I want to redirect the step-5 that is finish submit button to redirect ‘/welcome-page’. How can i redirect, please help me out.

After a user gets the email and begins to go through registration, at step three there is nothing to be shown. The process does continue if you press skip but I want the a good and easy to understand experience for my members. Any idea why this is happening?

Hi, I am using the BuddyPress Simple Terms And Conditions plugin to extend the BuddyPress registration page with a checkbox for accepting the terms and conditions or terms of use.

This important feature does unfortunatlly not work with BuddyPress Better Registration. Please make som kind of checkbox for GDPR compliance.

Hi there, I came across some issues when I started testing the plugin on different platforms.

The design on mobile. Fields are not in line, and fields and titles are no longer associated :

Image distorted and the result of cropping is not what was selected and the person not centered:

The plugin need some setting options for selecting fields. Surname is not a field in the normal BP registration, and I think users are reluctant giving up their surname, when it is not needed. And with the new GDPR compliance regulations, and as site owner, I want to store as little personal information as possible.

This topic has been asked in another thread before, but not answered.

After two seamless registrations, the new user is asked for an activation key, after clicking the activation link in the email.

Please provide a valid activation key.

There is no activation key in the activation email, how is this working, and how do I fix this issue?

Firstly I think the idea of your plugin is great if it works with my site. Currently the step by step process returns blank pages when using wp social login and I try to register using social media once the social media login is authenticated all i have work with is skip or submit on the step pages nothing else is displayed. Looks nothing like your images in the screenshots for plugin.

Secondly if i don’t use the social login and just enter and confirm email my recapcha doesn show at all but on “complete sign up” it gives me a recaptcha error saying it hasnt been completed (the recaptcha). The recaptcha shows on everything else including bbpress comments and pages. It seems like its there but not visible like most of the other pages. If you guys could help me sort this problem would be great.

Some help would be much appreciated if you could have a look at it thanks if you cant ill need to look to alternative plugin solutions.

Nothing happens after activating ‘Upload image’ and the registration process stops at this stage.

I am trying to add some steps to the registration but data form this steps are not being saved and I can only skip to move further.

I would like to have 5 steps registration.

1) Account basic settings
2) Take a photo
3) Data from profile_group_id’ => 1
4) Data from profile_group_id’ => 2
5) Data from profile_group_id’ => 5

Currently when I am on step 4 and if I click on save nothing happens. To move to the next step I have to click on skip, so data are not saved.

Hi. I love your plugin and I installed it on my site. However, after uploading profile photo, it failed to respond when I clicked ‘save and continue’. Also, I would like you to remove the ‘skip’ option on the profile photo page to make it mandatory for new members to upload or take a photo. VERY URGENT, PLEASE.

I’m building a site using the Boss theme from BuddyBoss and a bunch of plugins and custom code. One of those plugins that works amazingly well is:

Installing BP Better Registration is great, I love how much simpler the process is and how it walks them through the steps. But it removes those social links from the registration page and I really want them to stay.

Is it at all possible that you test for that plugin and show its buttons to start the process?

on Explorer – Upload Profile Picture doesnt work at all
on Chrome – I can upload profile picture but I cant save it. The only way I can go thru is to skip it….
Please fix this otherwise its useless.
But I like this idea so if you have pro version with better look (and no error) Im wonna buy it.

It sent email with activation link, after click the link, it SOMETIMES ask for activation keys at the first step, so I can not activate the account, how to resolve it?

Also, if there is already an email account, it will sent account activation email too, and no any indicate information to show like :this email account has already exist.

Also it would be great if there is a BACK button during register process.

Anyway to translate into other language?

I realy love the plugin, it’s exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the plugin doesn’t run with the current WP version. User receives an eMail but after clicking on the link a “Key” is asked and of course, neither the users nor I have the key. Page is https://www.freunde.one

How easy would it be to add custom fields on the sign steps. – Ideally would like to include S2Member fields

Would also like to edit/change/add some of the text on the email signup page if possible.

Hi there, I was doing a bit more testing tonight and I discovered I could just bypass the (Required) need to fill in the field by simply pressing Skip. It should have enforced the requirement for the field to be entered.

Just testing your latest version, ######i have some notes/comments:

1. The registration completed successfully but gave the message “Sorry, that email is already registered” this might be because my previous attempt I used an email that had already been registered so maybe this was a hangover from that?
2. Avatar upload, it allowed me to upload an image but would not allow me to save and continue, the button was there but delivered no action.
3. Join Groups – This displays a list of groups, some sites I have seen have hundreds of groups, which would create a very large page, maybe where the count is greater that 20 you could show these differently? Another option would be to allow the admin to configured which groups are to be displayed?
4. Add friends, I added one friend and completed successfully, but connecting to the site I got a notification that I had a friendship request from an unknown user, which seems the opposite of what should happen. When I went to that user I could see that they did not have a friendship request.
5. Also there is a small typo with the add friends dialogue, at the end of sending a friend request it says “Request Send” instead of “Request Sent”
6. There’s an error with this when using BP Registration Options in that it will not allow you to upload an avatar image, that screen lacks the dialogue and you only get the option to Skip or to Save and Continue. Even though adding a new avatar image is allowed.

I really like the way this plugin works! I think it’s great that new users can be introduced to adding a profile image, joining groups and finding friends during the registration process.
