Does this plugin work with Custom Post Types created using CPT UI?

Using Jetpack’s ‘Duplicate This’ on a post with a YOURLS shortlink, also copies the shortlink. This shortlink can then not be edited, meaning that multiple posts end up having the same shortlink, which of course doesn’t work.

This means that Jetpack’s ‘Duplicate This’ becomes unusable when using this plugin.

I installed and save the settings and it works well.
Then I deleted the Short URLs on my installation of YOURLS and back to WordPress but the URL created with this plugin existed in WP and there is no way to change them, these links no longer work because they have been removed but still exist.
How can reset the plugin and create new ULRs?

I just noticed that the plugin generates sometimes multiple shortlinks, 2 or 3, for the same post. The shortlinks have the same timestamp and original URL. Any ideas?

Hi, I create posts using a frontend publish plugin, but when it creates new posts, the Yourls link is not generated. I have to edit or open the post in the admin back end for it to be generated. The plugin uses the default WordPress publish post hooks. Is it possible to fix this?

I created an article and the plugin automatically created a new keyword.
The problem is that I don’t want to use it, I need a custom one. I created this new custom one in the YOURLS panel and deleted the other one automatically created by the plugin.
It turns out that the plugin doesn’t recognize the new one and doesn’t allow me to edit the one that was created automatically.
How do I proceed?

When I enabled this plugin every page load where the plugin was enabled was just bogged down, slow loading, and edits won’t save using the classic editor. Where to start? I am new to WP.

Wordpress plugin users searching for a TOKEN to set up YOURLS may have a little trouble.

From the research I have done I am guessing the “TOOLS” page is in the stand alone manual .php version of this neat sounding plugin. I’ve searched high and low and there simply is no “TOOLS” (tools.php or .css or .js) page on my server.

2 years and 1 month ago this was posted: “Log into your YOURLs admin and click “tools” in the top left corner. It is a little past halfway down the page.”

Where is the “TOKEN” or the “API”?

When using the Gutenberg plugin 2.8.0, posts fail to publish if Better Yourls is activated. The Yourl is created, I can see it when I go in to the classic editor and can publish the post from there.

As noted above I need to do some more testing on this and other plugins, but as Gutenberg is coming, better to put this out there.

The second link above already existed. When I visited that page as an Admin, it created NEW link with “5” as the slug instead of recognizing the existing link. You can see in the screenshot that the destination url is identical.

This plugin is PERFECT for my uses, as long as it will recognize the existing shortlinks, or I can even update them in the admin or something so that what I already have in my YOURLS install will be synced with the live site.

In combination with the popular form plugin “Contact Form 7” it is not possible to edit an existing form or save a new form. I get “Security Error” page. After disabling better-yourls everything was fine again.

Creating a new post and publishing it, the shortlink is created but only to the post name portion of the URL. For instance, if the post is viewed at https://site.com/page-here/ the YoURLs shortlink will point to only page-here, not to the full URL. The domain is dropped.

Have I misconfigured something in the plugin or WP? My YoURLs install works just fine other than this one site.

2/ Where do i get the API key? I assume this is generated during YOURLS install.

Would it be possible to add the option to disable the YOURLS short URL to be used when a post is shared via Jetpack’s Sharedaddy?

Our social traffic increases the load on our YOURLS server to the extent that the server runs out of capacity.

We use YOURLS to gather stats for specific campaigns, rather than every post published.

I would create a plugin to modify this if I could, so a hint to which action or filter to use would also help.

I installed Contact Form 7 in my WordPress. However when I add or edit my Form, “Security Error” popup, and nothing got save. Upon scanning WordPress’s plugins folder, this warning come from Better YOURLS. Once I disable Better YOURLS, everything works fine again.

Getting this PHP warning when the plugin is activated. Not getting it when deactivated. Any idea?
