I have noticed that the YouTube player controls are inactive for some videos embedded in my blog posts. Users are unable to interact with the videos as intended. For context, I am using the Gutenberg editor in WordPress, along with Elementor Pro, to format my blog posts. The problem occurs inconsistently across various posts especially where I have embedded multiple YouTube videos in a single post. If I deactivate Elementor Pro, the videos behave normally.

We have a use case where we need to limit the recommended videos at the end to the channels own videos. In order to do this, you need to add rel=0 to the iframe url. Is there a way to add additional url parameters to the iframe url?

One thing – support for max res thumbnail as a choice perhaps would be great. I see it’s currently hardcoded to default thumbnail. I understand it may not be available for all videos. Therefore, it could be an option to be switched on.

And an option for a custom thumbnail would be even better.

Default youtube thumbnail doesn’t look that good on larger video containers like 1000px wide.

As a workaround changing background image manually in block html works but it then complains that block is broken and repair attempt changes it back to default thumbnail.

Thanks for making this addon, it works great. I have a single issue and that is that I want to embed videos with a different aspect ratio from 16×9, like square or even 4×5. Is there a way to achieve this? I’ve tried with custom css but the YouTube player that is loaded upon click would be different and I can’t find a way around it.

Videos don’t play. Original Youtube-embed still works fine.

I tend to use wp_oembed_get as a function against dynamic custom field from Pods with a YouTube URL to currently display my embedded YouTube videos.

Is there a way to call this really cool block into that function/filter?

i think it is not mobile responsive.

Nice lightweight plugin! But right now it seems that the plugin adds a block of CSS to every page on the site, regardless of whether the block is used on that page or not. It would be perfect if the CSS was only added on pages which used the block.

The javascripts base.js www-embed-player.js are slowing my site down. I tried everything to delay or whatever. Can you advice me on this?
