I just installed this plugin on a non-published website.

I am new to WordPress, but I am an advanced computer user …
I could not see any other method to create a Parent drop down placeholder, i.e. DROPDOWN/link1, link2, link3

The DROPDOWN links work fine but the DROPDOWN parent link it is actually clickable and obviously go to an empty page.

How do I make it a non-page and just a parent dropdown attribute – not a page?

First of all, I want to say it’s great plugin.

But I have one problem ??

When clicking in dropdown menu on front page, dropdown is not showing up (go strait to other page).

Can it be connected with that (script tag not at bottom of body): https://stackoverflow.com/questions/23450424/uncaught-typeerror-object-is-not-a-function
Also when I try to find (Chrome developer console) nav element

on other pages it’s ok.

First of all I’d like to congratulate you a good job with that plugin. It does work perfectly in most browsers and makes things easier. However, recently MS had presented Win10 with his new, fantastic Edge browser. I’ve found that your plugin cannot integrate with that one, so here I am.
Are you planning to make Black Studio Touch Dropdown Menu plugin compatible with Microsoft Edge? It’ll be a big step forward because it seems that Edge is said to be really nice browser.

Initially this plugin worked fine to resolve problems I was having with dropdown menus on iPads, iPhones my (Lenovo) tablet.
Then 8 days ago, I became aware that the submenus stopped displaying for the iPad and iPhone unless the user was logged into the site. Once logged in, the submenus display just fine.
I have tried deactivating the two plugins I added between the time we knew the submenus were displaying and stopped displaying but the issue persists. BTW, the two plugins were for tagging media (WP Media Category Management) and statistics (WP Statistics).
I am at a loss as to explain how the functionality has deteriorated or how to resolve it. I also have not had any success in finding a replacement plugin.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

My issue with using dropdown menus on mobile devices is that you don’t know whether there are any submenus. Is it possible to open the dropdown menu with the submenus showing?

For example with https://www.mtgambiervvcarclub.org.au

The Members menu item has submenus
– membership application / renewal
– Historic vehicle inspections
– club documents
However you don’t know there is a submenu until you click on it.

I would like for the all submenus to be displayed as soon as someone clicks on the dropdown menu selection.

Is this possible with this plugin?

My website is https://www.lyfesync.com and the site works perfectly before you login to the website account. I.e. if I was a random user off the internet that wanted to browse through my website I can click > 2nd clicks selects link I selected. As soon as you log in (in both Safari & Chrome) the first thing you touch is what you selected. Thank you and I hope there is a fix for this, I was hoping this was it : /. Thanks for your plugin. I’ve installed on this site: https://annemariemaes.net but it doesn’t seem to be working on my device, that is the behaviour is the same as before the plug in.
The device I use is a Fairphone which runs on Android 4.2.2, I use the default browser.
On all the levels (top and submenu) it is hard to open a link and/or see the dropdown menu. Often this pops up:

One just can’t hover without either clicking the link or getting the popup in the picture.

This looks like a really great plugin, to fix a big problem with Internet Explorer – good work. When I tap a menu item, it kind of flickers a bit like it’s trying to show something. If I tap it again then it goes to the top level item’s page like it should. Just not sure why the dropdown doesn’t show on the first tap.

This plugin appears to have stopped working. I’m only able to test on one machine though:

Hardware: Microsoft Surface RT Tablet
OS: Windows 8.1 Preview
Browser: Internet Explorer 11

Unfortunately due to a bug in the OS preview, I can’t change my user agent string in the browser to determine if that itself is the cause. I do know that IE11 makes some big changes to user agent strings, so that’s my first guess.

Brilliant pluggin – The issues I have noticed were that if the expanded list expands off the bottom of the screen you are looking at it on, and you scroll to view the rest of the expanded dropdown list, the list collapses again when you scroll.

Touching the link again to ‘re-expand’ the list will then TAKE you to that links page rather than re-expand the dropdown as it see’s it as the second tap.

This is still a really problem with mobile browsers and this is a great first step into solving it.

Hopefully there can be some re-coding done to cater to this issue as well.

The plugin does not work with the new version of chrome.

I have tested on a Nexus 7 with Android 4.2.2 and on a Samsung Galaxy S with CyanogenMod 10 (=4.2.1).
On both devices the plugin works with Dolphin Browser but not with the new version of chrome.

I posted before about sporadic functioning on clear line theme, also wanted to point out that I have 3 tiers of menu on one of my sites, and it doesnt work for the second sub menu.

Hope you keep working on this as it would be great not to have to completely redesign or use a different menu system (currently using “dropdown menu” plugin.
