I’m using this block gallery plugin. I’ve had a few issues.

Editing the block in carousel, images and captions disappear. I don’t mind too much about this so far though since unfortunately i don’t like the appearance of the carousel that shows a part of previous and next image at either side of the current image. If the carousel feature just had one image with next/previous arrows or icons his would be better.

THE MAIN ISSUE i’m posting about is i don’t know why this block is sourcing the 1024px width images from my media bank, i want and have larger images. I would prefer to use the largest possible (taking into account view port width)
How can i resolve this?

When I add Block carousel I don’t see any images in page editor (last wordpress ver) but navigate arrow and dots appears well.

After post saved or published carousel appears on frontend page.

I know someone had requested this feature and it supposed to be added but my plugin is updated and I am still not getting the custom url option that I can add to each image so that it takes you to the recipe. Can anyone please help me?

Is there a way to edit masonry or simple gallery to have a FOUR (4) column layout instead of only 3? In some cases 3 are just TOO big :/

I have the plugin. My custom theme doesn’t support it. Where is the CSS code snippet I can add to my theme to support this plugin with gallery layouts?

I just installed this plugin and there are no block settings for thumbnails as demonstrated on this page . Has it been removed?

first thanks for this really nice and helpful plugin!
But there is something that I would really need:
The captions of my images consist of 2-3 lines.
When I create a gallery, this works in the first step, but when I change a gallery (add an image etc.) and save it, the line breaks disapear. Is there any possibility to fix this?

Hello, if I want to add a new image to a gallery, which already is in the media library, it does not work. I always get an almost white page. What I do:
– select block of galery in backend
– click on pencil to edit galery
– click on add to galery
There was the media library in earlier versions, but for a while now there is no media shown. This seams to exist since the wordpress-update we made in octobre.
Do you have an idea, what is the reason for the problem? It only happens with your galery-blocks but not with the regular galery-block of wordpress.

I love this plugin so much. It has intuitive options and super easy to configure.

I got my masonry gallery doesn’t properly load when my post is published.

Is it possible to use shortcode? Because, I have a photo gallery that the user submits by a form, so this gallery is generated through a custom field. Is it possible to integrate this with my custom field? Or is there shortcode (mansory for example) where I can add where my theme displays this custom field gallery?

How can i force the carousel block to use full size images?
Now im using in a full width mode it but it uses cropped image so by stretching it i lose quality.

i hook into gallery render callback and noticed when i enable your plugin, the ids of each image is missing in the callback function.

i want to use the gallery … but i didn found where i can set the image size?
like on photos, e.g. medium, thumbs or large?

Do you consider rather implementing Swiper.js than Flickity? Because Swiper.js is true open source. Even for commercial purposes. And it has more options und is mobile first instead of Flickity.

When enabling Lazy Load in Jetpack or Perfmatters plugin all the images stack-up (see attached). How can we fix this for smoother gallery loading of larger galleries?

I can see an “offset” and “thumbnail” gallery version on the https://wpblockgallery.com/ website.

Do You have a pro version of the plugin in order to get these options? I cannot find the pro version, or how to get those gallery options.

I found this great plugin when I set up a new WordPress blog for a Chinese friend. Thank you very much for this plugin. It’s intuitive and easy to use. Although it might lack some features such as, for instance, caption for each carousel items, and caption placed over each items, it’s not very hard to “fix” them for advanced users who know CSS and JS.

However, after I quickly translated the /languages/block-gallery.pot file into Simplified Chinese (zh_CN) with Poedit Pro and put the two files (block-gallery-zh_CN.po and block-gallery-zh_CN.mo) into the /languages/ folder, it didn’t work. I then used Poedit to fetch all translatable strings from .php files (making sure those are the latest strings) and retranslate them, no luck. I also tried to put .po and .mo into /wp-content/languages/ but it didn’t work either.

I then went to plugin page on www.ads-software.com and noticed the plugin has already been translated into several languages including Traditional Chinese (zh_TW) here, which is the most complete (100%) translation so far. I changed my zh_CN WordPress to zh_TW, redownloaded and reinstalled Block Gallery (so that zh_TW language pack here was automatically fetched into my WordPress), this time, the description of the plugin “The most advanced suite of gallery blocks for the Gutenberg” did change to zh_TW, but all those Block Gallery-related strings in Gutenberg editor still remained in English.

I’ve submitted my translation here.

Thought I’d try this out, hoping it would be less overhead than Envira Gallery. Created a gallery, but I can’t reorder images. Seems like a basic requirement.

I was wondering if I could get displayed the figcaption of the current image which is displayed in the slider? I only see the option to have like on general figcaption for the whole gallery. Could you help me with this one?

I save the settings. All is ok on the page.
I want to edit the gallery : I change the order of the photos. I save. When I come back to the block, there is no more url ! All my work is to do again.

I try to use the masonry block in WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme. My thumbnails are 160 px large and I only have 2 columns sizes : large and extra large.
Even if I use large, I only have 3 thumbnails in the width where I could have 4.
You can see on the above mentionned page, not at the top (its the old paragraph version), but at the bottom of page.
How can I do to have more thumbnails in the useful width ?

I was looking for a masonry gallery block for the Gutenberg environment. Block gallery seemed to be the perfect solution and it works just fine backend.
But when visiting the gallery front end, all pictures are displayed in a single column.
I know that there are already similar support requests, but they seem to have been solved by you in a plugin update. Unfortunately, I get this error in the latest plugin version with the newest version of the free WordPress theme ‘Oblique’.

For testing, I used other gallery block plugins with a masonry possibility, and they work just fine. There seems to be a problem inside Block gallery.

What’s the problem? Do you know a solution?

On the page below there are text blocks with gallery blocks in between.
I see that if you look the photos larger in that block that after the last photo the first photo appears again.

On my own site, the viewer continues right after the last photo with the first photo of the next block, even though there are text blocks in between.
I don’t want that because the texts often refer to the photos, so I first want the reader to close the large photos and start reading the text. Then the next block follows where they see new photos that are only in that block.

How can I change this? So that after the last photo in a block the first in that block becomes visible again and not the 1st photo of the next block.
