Stay away. It’s a paid for feature to have an image in your image slider. What a waste of time

I’ve been testing other slider plugins for Gutenberg and this is the one that has worked best. Thanks.

I love it, simple and effective. Perfectly implemented. Well done!

You can’t create a slider and add a block to it. Which by the name you’d assume you can do. What even is this plugin? It doesn’t do anything.

My company paid for the $99/yr pro version of WP Block Slider about a month ago. We never received a confirmation email. There is no account that has been created for my company. We can’t even log in. I’ve emailed them for support twice through the website with no response. It’s not just like stealing, it is stealing. This feels like a scam. Buyer beware.

Plugin basics is good but very limited, and when you are going to PRO, no answer via email, support…
Don’t go to PRO.

I was a little annoyed that I had to go to a separate interface to edit my sliders, but ok put an annoying menu item up super high I guess.
Then I realized that none of my styles were carrying through to the page. As a hack I had to copy paste the block used in the slider and hide it on the page just so the CSS would load.
Then it turns out it wasn’t responsive, no matter how many CSS hacks I tried I couldn’t get a two column layout to stack. Simple stuff that Gutenslider does inline on the page without issue.

The free plug descripiton here is highly misleading. It promotes all the pro features as if they are included. They are not. I like that the UI and the way you add sliders/slides is easy but the misleading nature of the description makes me want to use something else.

I was pleasantly surprised that this slider works well with GenerateBlocks containers and headlines. Nicely done.

Works well and generous free tier – thanks.
Some Gutenberg editor glitches though with the way multiple slides work.

The free version has absolutely ZERO of the features shown on the plugin’s description in WP depository. You cannot use it directly in block editor, you cannot use media as a background, you cannot control the height of the slider – NOTHING! You can do two things (but NOT directly in Gutenberg editor)
They should not be allowed to show these features or the screenshots on their WP plugin page. It’s a total lie.

Very impressed with this little slider block, if you’re using the Block editor this will make a good addition to your site. Nice, complete and modern controls. If you only need to slide one thing at a time (think mastheads or hero images) then the free version works really great. If you want to slide more than one thing then you might want to consider PRO.
Don’t listen to the one-star reviews – give it a try.

This used to be a great little slider – it did everything that I wanted it, cleanly and simply, with the huge bonus of editing the sliders in the page.
Now, with the update to version 2, it’s lost that major bonus. It didn’t automatically recognise my original sliders, as they promised, so I had to recreate them and then I find that there’s no block to insert them back into the page and the shortcode didn’t work.
All in all a very disappointing mess that just proves the adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”.

If you’re looking for an easy to use slider, that works with Gutenberg (!!!), look no further than Block Slider. For real, this is one of the most uniquely implemented sliders I have come across. It is super easy to work with, its options are well organised and the performance penalty is non existent. Compared to other offerings, this is clearly a superior solution.
Keep up the good work! ??

This plugin installs a blank admin panel with the title “Content Here” and the content “Curabitur aliquet quam id dui posuere blandit. Mauris blandit aliquet elit, eget tincidunt nibh pulvinar a. Pellentesque in ipsum id orci porta dapibus. Vestibulum ac diam sit amet quam vehicula elementum sed sit amet dui. Vestibulum ante ipsum primis in faucibus orci luctus et ultrices posuere cubilia Curae; Donec velit neque, auctor sit amet aliquam vel, ullamcorper sit amet ligula.”

I wanted a lean sliding solution for gutenberg and this plugin is exactly what i’ve searched for. Installed the premium trial version from the website and will buy it as soon as it is open for sale.

Not quite sure HOW this plugin was added to my site, because I never actually installed it via the Plugin portal. Yet I was intrigued because I am looking to eliminate Elementor and will need a slider for my site.
I could barely get the block to work! Just about everything you want to tweak, the things that the plugin info page touts requires you to buy the PRO version. But the upgrade page within WP doesn’t actually load… and when you finally get to the plugin’s homepage – turns out that the PRO version isn’t even available yet?!
(not to mention that there are still the “ipsum” and pointless paragraphs on their page). It’s nowhere near ready for release.

Does not work. Shows dummy message on plugin page.

The key features of this block plugin appear to work satisfactorily; some recent reviews said it was broken, but I think things must have been fixed.
There are some fundamental flaws, however:
– The amount of whitespace shown in the editor interface above/below each slides is massive, and it’s extremely hard to figure out where to select each ‘slide’ to customise it. It could be that the “Min Height” control is meant to control this, but if so, it doesn’t work.
– Selecting the slider block and pressing “add slide” adds a slide, but if you have a smaller monitor or many slider blocks, it’s added off-screen, and you have no idea if the button worked.
– Unless a tabbed interface is added to control content entry into each slide, the “quick preview” mode should be the default state on page load (as opposed to the editing), because of the vast amount of whitespace and vertical area this block takes up, it currently seriously impacts the usability of managing content elsewhere on your page/post.
– A feature enhancement would be to opt-out of the left/right carousel arrows/buttons. I’m having to hide these with CSS.
– The integration with Gutenberg Hub (and associated upsell features in the interface) leaves a bad taste in my mouth; if this was just a slider block plugin, then why do I want it to pull in templates from Gutenberg Hub? I don’t.
– The admin interface for the plugin is unfinished and looks amateurish; one of the screens have placeholder text, and the other screens seem to iframe content in from another site (the styling is off, and there are security concerns with iframing unknown sites in). I’ve decided to hide this entire screen on my client sites.

I’ve been using other plugins by developer Munir Kamal who launched GutenbergHub a long time ago like Gutenberg forms ,etc.
What I like in this particular slider that I’m not limited to include only images in it.
It’s versatile : one & the same slider can contain different objects .
Also it comes with a great support by Mr Munir Kamal himself. Highly recommend it.

Great plugin. Looking frwd for what′s to come. This plugin is what I′m aiming to use now for slides. Tried SA and Smartslider3. 2 reasons: 1. it include the Gutenberg blocks and 2. both the desktop and mobile versions look great, meaning it′s responsive.

A great slider block. I’m curious about the pro version. When can you expect it?

Nice built plugin. 1 star less for some hard coded container properties that i had to remove from js (background-color for slides is set to white and text to grey and i couldn’t set it to “initial” in admin panel). Was very lucky to see it is a plugin with no unneeded PRO stuff that will make it unimpossible to use it in a simple and clean way … but i’m afraid that this will come in an upcoming version …
EDIT 2020-02-19
Changed my review to 5 Stars – Versions 1.0.8 solved the problems i was talking about earlier

lightweight yet functional, highly recommended.

This is what a Gutenberg block slider should do. There are some UI quirks at this point, but it’s off to a great start.

Nice Gutenberg Slider!
Just found 1 bug with the table of contents + plugin (https://de.www.ads-software.com/plugins/table-of-contents-plus/). When the slider is directly under the table of contents section, it gets problems with the height of the own container. In this case, the slider is not usable.
Would be great to fix this bug.
Thank you.
