It seems the only real way to customize the layout is using custom CSS. This is fine, but some classes override important layout capabilities by using !important. For example, justify-content is centered and cannot be overridden.

It would be nice if some of these layout properties were available on the block options, particularly alignment. Alternatively, any of these options should be overridable.

Otherwise, I love the plugin. Let me know if you need any assistance with PR features!

I’m using this to highlight lots of events we’re hosting at a tabletop games convention.

Checking my thinking here:

The max of 50 is “per instance of the block” isn’t it?
By that I mean if I have the block on multiple pages and use different “Event filter name” for each page it will show 50 events on that page.

If the above is correct then I’m mostly sorted.

I may have one of my pages having more than 50 events with a specific event filter name on it. Is there a way to extend the limit to something like 60 or 75?

It looks like I can increase it in the block, but whenever I save it and go back in it has reset to 50.

The API Code seems to have been accepted, but then when I visit the page no events show. I know the event is in the future and so I know that’s not the issue.

The only thing that it might be that I can tell from looking is that the “Administration Email Address” in WordPress is different than the email address in Eventbrite. If the email addresses must be the same, then I’ll change them to be the same. However, I wanted to see if there were thoughts on if it might be some other issue, first.

First, I have to say big thanks – love the simplicity, styling, pretty much everything about this plugin, especially considering it is free. One thing I miss big time is ‘details’ section shows only the summary. My events have long description which can’t be displayed which is a big bummer. Apart from this + I wish it worked with Elementor, love it. Will leave 5* and a praise if Details section can be extended with more ‘details’ about the event ?? Thank you. Uldis

Does the plugin work with the newer version of WordPress? There are issues with the block_categories function, but also more I think.

Is it possible to display only public events? It currently lists public and private events

For event time format, I am looking for Timezone abbreviation. Based on documentation (https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/formatting-date-and-time/), I have updated time format as below

But, it’s not showing the Timezone abbreviation.

I love your plugin. It’s works super easy and lists my events beautifully.

I do have one request: Is it possible to limit the number of displayed events?
At the moment it lists all my active events, but I’d like to only shows three at a time.

First off this solution it really elegant and works far better than many of the paid plug-ins. The only issue I have is that my client wants the button to link to the event page directly, rather than use the pop-up. It would also be great if you could edit the button text to Get Tickets.

Any ideas on CSS to achieve those goals?

The sign up button uses a pop-up which is great. This keeps the user on my website. However, the title hyperlink takes the user to eventbrite. It would be nice to have an override url option in the setup to provide a custom url so that when users clicks on the title they stay on my website (new page with more details), or an option to disable the hyperlink

Another feature request. Currently the price displayed seems to be the price of the first ticket. Nice to see the price of the first active ticket (meaning exclude hidden tickets). Even nicer if you exclude hidden and expired ticket prices.

I’m having problems applying the following css changes:

Theme font is not used – this plugin applies system stack, not the font set in the customizer. I’ve tried setting the correct font (Inter) with css, no effect. I’ve also set the font in typography settings in the blocks parent block – a GenerateBlock container, this has no effect either.

The event list is set to justify-content: center, which is fine but I need it span the available width of the container, not leave white space at the left and right. I also need that to happen when the screen size reduces and the columns drop 3 > 2 > 1.

And I need to increase the bottom margin of single events on mobile.

This plugin is very easy to set up, unfortunately much harder to customize.

I’m using the plugin on version 5.6.1.
The text and general size are very small, probably due to the theme I’m using (Kale). I am therefore trying to change the layout and styling. However, changing the CSS properties in the normal way is not working.
I saw your reply to kenny0613 regarding “traversing the html elements from the containing element” and would like to give this a shot.
Could you provide any further details on how to achieve this for the less skilled users out there (such as myself)?

Hi,
I had a problem with certain text not being visible on pages with white text set. It seems this was overriding the colours on the event card. It turned out that the event card is using some incorrectly named classes which don’t exist. Eg. using ‘grey’ instead of ‘gray’ in some names e.g. text-gray-800 and using text-gray/grey-dark which is not defined.
I have worked around by changing all the grey’s to gray, and text-gray-dark to text-gray-800 in files index.js and index.js.map and event.js.
Hopefully you can do a proper fix in the next release.

I would like to customize the layout and style by myself but I found that those classes inside the HTML do not have specific and fixed classes. How can I modify the style? Which file should I be looking at?

I like the front end display of this plug in. I have not been able to make it work with Elementor. If I switch to block editing, I loose the Elementor properties of my page. Even after adding the block and saving the page, when I switch back to “edit with elementor” in order to regain page’s properties (headers, titles, etc), the block disappears and does not show up.

Is there any way I can place the code (shortcode or HTML) into the Elementor interface and make it work?

A suggestion:

Now the plugin works great, if you could get to show only the events that have active tickets to buy instead of showing current events, it would be great.

For example, my REVIT event is ongoing right now and ends on June 30, but you can no longer purchase tickets for the course, because sales have already closed.

Is there a way to do that?

I also cannot cancel the event in eventbrite, since if there are tickets sold I should return them.

We are using the eventbrite.ca and have multiple keys. Which do we use?
