I can not get my blog icon to work no matter what I do. My website is https://www.somanybooks.info

I am trying to create a link on another page to my site and no picture will appear.

Noticed the plugin hasn’t been updated in a while. Just curious if an update will arrive anytime this year and preferably support higher resolution iOS icons (ie retina).

I’ve uploaded the favicon to the Media Library but I’m not able to place it in the plugin input field using ‘Insert into Post’ button.

I can override the functionality by copying the full URL for the uploaded favicon and placing it in the input field but it doesn’t accept relative paths (just absolute).

Using the above technique works for .png icons but not for .ico files.

I keep seeing requests for the apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png icon appearing in my logs.

Any chance you could add support for this icon to your Blog Icons plugin?

I have installed this plugin, it did not work for me… then I turned of the plugin and now I still have a list of references to the icons, that I never uploaded because it did not work for me. The references I see when I get a e-mail, because I use another plugin from yoast, the “Referrer info for Gravity Forms”.

Like this (I just erased my domian xxx):

The only one that worked is the Web Icon and that is it. It either tells me it is the wrong size or for the first and last image selections they don’t come up when I add the image. I think the first one is the Webicon and the last is the Feed Image.

I just tried setting s 16×16 PNG favicon and it doesn’t work. Keeps returning this error:

“Error: An unkown error occurred with the Favicon.”

theme is purple arua.

trying to upload my favicon in the favicon, admin favicon and feed image portion and nothing seems to work.

obviously when i update it, nothing happens to the site.
