The file cets_blogtopics.php refers to /wp-admin/options-privacy.php. This file no longer exists in WordPress.
So, when the privacy notification appears at the top of the page:
“Your site is development mode and hidden from the Vistablogs homepage.
To include it on the Vistablogs homepage, click _here_.”
the link is a 404. To fix it, I believe all you need to do is change options-privacy.php to options-reading.php throughout.
]]>Will this work with wp 3.4.2 multisite?
what are the “Pro/cons” of this plugin?
]]>I’ve been using your plugins quite some time – the older version. I just got fresh copy of your recent version and put it inside mu-plugins folder. I see the blog topic management and I was able to assign topics to blogs.
I dragged the widgets and I see the Recent Posts related blogs. I also see the Portal links – as you call it. Those links doesn’t seems to be working. I copied the topic.php & sites.php into my theme and I created Pages with ‘topic’ & ‘sites’ as slugs. I am able to click the link.
if I click “See all sites” link I get
“Sites
There are no blogs in this topic. “
[even though I assigned current blog as well another blog to this topic ‘Restaurants’
If I click “More Posts”, I get
“There are no recent posts in this topic.
New Sites
Recently Updated Sites
Show All Sites
“
I’m wondering whether I have to do something with the rewrite.php file?
Should I add any htaccess rewrite rules?
Thanks
]]>Hi there.
I’m trying to get Blog Topics to work, but for some reason, nothing seems to happen.
There is no extra field added to “Add Site”.
The title pretty much says it. I see the sample theme folder in the plugin folder, but how would I use that? I tried creating a topic, adding a site to it, and uploading the topic.php and sites.php files to my theme folder and creating new pages using them as templates, but am getting the pages with the following results…
topic.php template (and the “show all sites” is a link to /sites/, which gives me a 404):
There are no recent posts in this topic.
New Sites
Recently Updated SitesShow All Sites
sites.php:
Sites
There are no blogs in this topic.
Can anyone direct me on how I might create a dropdown menu of my topics (I’d like to put it either in the sidebar or the header) as well as a results page for that that will list all sites that belong to a certain topic?
]]>Is it currently possible to assign sub-topics to the blog topic?
example:
Musician
–classical
–rock
–easy listening
I’m only a basic coder so not quite sure what all would be involved to make this change. Could come in really handy as I am in the process of moving all my standalone wp sites to one multisite install, and separation on a sub-topic level would really help organize everything.
great plugin btw! u need a donate link somewhere
]]>When I go to the custom images tab in the default included theme, I do see the input boxes for the header and topic image for each of my topics.
I am able to select via upload an image to include, but after submit nothing happens.
Reading the functions file it looks like it should be calling the cropper but that never shows up, just a quick page refresh with nothing saved.
I am running 3.0.1 in multi-site mode trying to edit from the primary domain.
also:
I noticed that the topic image admin shows up in all sub domain sites admin panels. This could be a problem with other ‘site admins’ trying to edit the pics once it’s all working.
Should this not be a function for the super-admin only?
thank you.
]]>Hi there,
thanks for this great plugin. I am testing it with BuddyPress but it doesn’t work for new registrations. For existing users it works, but when a new user wants to register, the Topic options is not in the Sign Up form and the blog then has topic value 0. Any ideas or help? Thank you.
