]]>The plugin asks to import authorS, plural, but it only shows 1 author to assign, whereas there are a few.
Import with or without creating the authors as user before running the import doesn’t make any difference. The authors are in the XML like so:

It is possible to re-assign posts to the original author after importing, but that’s not what is promised.

Any suggestions?
i have attempted to upload the exported blogger xml file (approx. 225 mb) to my WP site several times without success. support staff at my host (A2) have duplicated the error and suggested that i contact “blogger importer” for support.
i click run the blogger importer and get: Howdy! Upload your Blogger Exported XML file and we’ll import the contents from it into this site.Choose an XML file to upload, then click Upload file and import.Choose a file from your computer: (Maximum size: 1 GB) “BROWSE”
i select the exported xml file and click “upload file and import”
nothing happens for some time then i get a blank page with only “Import Blogger” in the upper left corner.

]]>Hello folks,
I just imported my blog and all the entries have been successfully imported, including the images. Unfortunately, only the post images of the first 20 blog posts are shown on the new site. I checked the imported blog posts and noticed that the post image has not been set – only for the first 20 posts.
Could you please look into that?
Many thanks and best regards,

Hello, the plugin hasn’t been updated in 4 years. Will it be updated? I’ve tried running this migration from Blogger to WordPress even on the WordPress.com side and it seems to be broken there somewhat as well. With all the changes coming to WordPress, there are many people wanting to leave Blogger, however, this tool is not functioning properly. Will it be updated to resolve the SimplePie issue?

I imported the contents of an old Blogger blog written by another author some time ago, but I have only recently noticed that all my predecessor’s post are appearing under my byline, while all the posts actually written by me appear under the default uster name “wessex”. Is there any way to correct this post hoc, or do I have to reimport?

]]>Hi there,
I am a brand new WP user (and barely know what I’m doing!) and have a Blogger blog I’m trying to transfer over to self-hosted WP. I’m having trouble importing my blogger .xml file into WP (via bluehost).
I followed the instructions on https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-switch-from-blogger-to-wordpress-without-losing-google-rankings/ but my posts nor anything else never got imported.
When I used the Blogger importer, it appeared to load and even indicated that the .xml uploaded 100% but after that, all that appeared was a button that said Submit but there was nothing to submit. I navigated away to another page and then went back to the upload page and this message appeared:
Sorry, there has been an error.
File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.
My .xml file is about 10MB and definitely has ‘post-related stuff’ in it. I checked my php.ini via the PHP Settings plug in and saw that and my upload_max_filesize and post_max_size are both set to 64M and file_upload is ON.
Upon reading other suggestions, I tried setting max_execution_time & max_input_time = 300 but that didn’t help either.
I tried clearing my cache on the site and on my brower (Chrome Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and even rebooted my computer.
I’ve been told I’m working in maintenance mode but don’t know if that has anything to do with it. https://box2078.temp.domains/~myepicu1/
I’m not sure what else to try and am hoping someone can help me out!
Thank you!

]]>Hello,
I have a Blogger file which is 90mb. The max upload file size was 32mb and I have increased this limit to 120mb. But still I am not able to import the large blogger file into my wordpress site.
Therefore I have migrated the blogger xml file to a wordpress wxr file with blogger2wordpress and splitted this file into several images. This worked fine, but the images which are included in the post content are still linking to blogspot. The images are not fully migrated to the WP database even though I checked the checkbox in the wordpress importer.
I assume the issue with the images occurs, because I migrated the Blogger XML file
to a WordPress WXR file. Can somebody confirm that?
So is there any solution how I can import a large blogger file to WP? Is the only solution to set the WP page up on a veeeery powerful server? Or is there any possibility to split a Blogger XML file into smaller chunks? Or is there a solution to run a blogger import in the console via WP Cli or something like that?
I am very grateful for every help. Thank you!
]]>My categories (labels) all imported but on the category page it shows 0 posts for the categories. So the categories are there but its not registering the corresponding posts. Then when I go to the posts page it shows its connected to the category but the category widget shows 0 and the category page shows 0 posts for every category. Weird things category shows under post and the archives work. So just the widget and category page show 0. I have used this plugin many times and this has never happened. Any ideas?
