Hello,
It works nice and easy, however the lighbox UI, the arrows, close button etc will only display once the the actual lightbox image has been clicked on. How do i get it to show the UI right away?
Thank you
It all has started there: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/do_shortcode-5?replies=5
Since the topic is closed and I didn’t see any link or form to reopen it, I create this one.
Based on what David had written, I suppose, one should add some processing for the gallery to the following code:
function filter_gallery_shortcode_output_29832( $gallery, $attr ) {
remove_filter( 'post_gallery', __FUNCTION__, 10, 2 );
$gallery = gallery_shortcode( $attr );
add_filter( 'post_gallery', __FUNCTION__, 10, 2 );
// Change the output
// $gallery = ...
return $gallery;
}
add_filter( 'post_gallery', 'filter_gallery_shortcode_output_29832', 10, 2 );
I also think that it should be something very similar to what is happening in the add_attribute() in bluimp: https://plugins.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/blueimp-lightbox/trunk/lib/class-blueimp-lightbox.php#L60
But I don’t get what exactly ?? Could someone help/give a hint please?
Hi there,
Does anyone know how to get the bluimp lightbox plugin working with the jetpack gallery widget?
I have set the jetpack gallery widget to link to media file so it’s the same as the standard gallery in post/page but images inside the jetpack gallery widget won’t tigger the lightbox, it just links to the media file while the same picture in a gallery in post/page works with the lightbox no problem.
Any thoughts?

How to show the image titles in the slideshow?

The gallery scripts wouldn’t enqueue properly in a vanilla instalation of WordPress 4.1.1 (I got 404s on all .js files).
All paths were set to https://mysite.com/blueimp-lightbox/something.js rather than the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Things started working only after I’ve removed the plugins_url_symlink_fix() function calls.
Please investigate!

How do I add data-gallery=”#blueimp-gallery-fullscreen” to the WordPress gallery if I am using shortcodes to post the gallery on a page?
Gallery works really well, but when you click on the image, it launches the lightbox, but the close button and the next/previous buttons only show once you’ve clicked on the image again. Is it meant to do that, as it feels a little un-intuitive.
Hi,
The Blue Imp Lightbox is working great on my site, but it always loads to the first image in the list. Is there a way to have it automatically load to whichever image the user clicks?
Thanks!
Hi,
I installed and activated plugin as recommended. I see that data-gallery tag is add to links, but it’s not working when clicks(open file like normal).
I see problem might be in not linked js files. I see it’s automatically add css blueimp files but i don’t see any js file associated with that name.
Any thought?
in firebug my gallery items looks like that:

Hi I am having an issue with blueimp in conjunction with justified image grid. I have used blueimp lightbox for the past 2 or 3 months just fine however today completely out of the blue it has stopped functioning correctly. When I click an image the lightbox starts to appear but then gets taken over and I get taken to a separate page with the image only. Website address is https://www.realestatephotos.co.nz, I appreciate any assistance with this issue. Thanks. Ryan.
Hello,
I am trying to search blueimp’s php and js for the lines that insert the < and > into the html (the previous and next controls), because I would like to experiment with other symbols. But I cannot find where this happens. Could you give me a hint, please?
Thanks!

Hi,
i have installed BlueImp on some wordpress-sites which actually don’t show the navigation overlay on fullscreen. I just can swipe by dragging or with the right/left-key.
The Problem is on all sites – also the sites which worked well at my last test.
e.g.:
https://www.stadtansichten-wernigerode.de
(Gallery in the middle of the site)
https://www.elbingerode-vorschau.wagnergraphics.de/gemeindeleben/kinder-und-familien/
Thanks for help

I love how well this plugin works, and it displays the images beautifully in all the devices I have tested with…
But I have to have the image captions displayed as well.
Is this possible somehow?
thank you
Hi!
First of all, great job for this plugin, really!
However, I wonder if the media type field in the settings really works. I have deleted the .png type from the list (and I have tried many other things) but galleries with only .png files still open in the blueimp lightbox, when I would like them not to.
I have the problem with both the “traditional” gallery and the portfolio list (when clicking on a portfolio link, I get redirected to the portfolio page but with the blueimp lightbox opening and showing the error image in the same time, even if the portfolio thumbnail was a .png file).
I have been using this theme :
– gallery : https://brandexponents.com/road/portfolio/gallery/
– portfolio : https://brandexponents.com/road/portfolio/
Is it because of the theme instead of your plugin?
Thanks for your help!
I tried loads of lightbox and swipebox plug-ins, and found that blueimp lightbox serves my need perfectly. Only one question so far is there an option to disable image loop in a gallery? Many thanks!

Hello! Can you please tell how to do that when you click on the photo it did not open in full size, turning the pages to the next photo? Need to switch not only the navigation arrows, but when you click on the photo. Please help.
When I use the do_shortcode to echo an gallery shortcode the images don’t open with blueimp lightbox.
I am very much interested in using blueimp, but it is loading all images from a category, tag, or search, rather than those from the individual post gallery. When there are many posts in a category archive, the full-screen blueimp fills up with dots. Is there a way to limit output to the images of an individual post or page gallery?
Hi
I just installed the plugin and it works wonderful with images inserted in my posts. But my images in galleries, nothing happens. Yes, I’ve set link to “Media file”.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong… or maybe the plugin is not compatible with the theme somehow?

Hi, I love the plugin , but it’s not working with certain images and I don’t know why?
See here: https://www.briggerfurniture.com/custom-comfort/rockers/
It worked with my group of High Back Rockers, but not with the Rockers With Nursing Kit. I was reading it might be a Photon thing, which I do have active.
Example code:
Working:

Not Working:

Note: my lightbox is turned off eventhough i still have the “rel” tags in there.
Thank you.
the best multi-device light box I have seen so far!
One improvement:
make it rotate.
Now the last image is an (old fashion) stop icon. Not needed when you go from picture last, to picture first
Thank you for sharing this amazing plugin.
?’am using these media types “gif,jpg,jpeg,png,JPG”. OK.
I also have old image links. Plugin just does not work in the following image links: “.jpg?imgmax=1800”, “.jpg?imgmax=800”, “.jpg?imgmax=720” ….
Sample link: https://lh3.ggpht.com/-MOlUqVKNbFk/UTkRRwKGEVI/AAAAAAAAzMs/3NV-RayHs0s/2014-Renault-Captur-29.jpg?imgmax=1800
Currently I am using Easy fancybox plugin, and it can open this type of links.
I’II be very happy if you help me on this issue. Good work.

I’m using a gallery plugin called Justified Image Grid https://goo.gl/oHZyn which gives the option of using a different lightbox, and I want to use blueimp.
Could you please advise me on what is the Link Class(es) and/or Link Rel and Custom attribute name for blueimp?
