Hi,
I tried to create a notification to change the content of automatic emails sent by WordPress for requests to delete data or export user data (GRPD). I always receive the default automatic email from WordPress and not the email configured with the plugin. However, I tested with a notification of the creation of a new page for example, and it works. Si it means that it only works when it’s not to replace an automatic email already configured by the WordPress core.
]]>I want to disable the welcome email sent to all users after registering. I created a template and disabled it but it is not working. The default one from woocommerce is still being sent. How can I temporarily disable? https://s3.amazonaws.com/i.snag.gy/RAsGNy.jpg
]]>I discovered that I was sending out many duplicate emails. I found your support page saying that Facebook Open Graph, Google+ and Twitter Card Tags had compatibility issues. I started using that plugin to fix image issues when sharing the post to social media. Is there a recommended alternative or fix for this compatibility issue?
FYI, the compatibility support page is: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/known-compatibility-issues/
]]>I need to generate a notification with a very specific code in the subject line. The code is formatted as follows: <<1234567890>>
when I save the notification, it deletes everything except for <>
Are there some escape codes I can use to preserve the full subject line in the notification email?
I’ve noticed in my email log that there is an email that goes out to users after a password has been reset. This looks like a default WordPress template, but it’s not the same as the Password Changed – For User. There doesn’t appear to be a template for this email already in your free plugin, is there any chance that this one will be added to in the future or is this one included in an addon?
Here is the template that is being sent after a user resets their password from getting a password reset link email first.
Subject: [global_site_title] Your new Password
Content:
[email_user_firstname],
Your password was successfully reset on [global_site_title]!
Username: [email_user_login]
Password: *** Successfully Reset ***
You can now login here: [shortcode for website login url]
I could not find any other information about this email template, so I may be mistaken that is a default wordpress email and it’s possible it may be triggered via another plugin. If so, you can disregard my request.
]]>Hello,
I have emails configured to send to users when they login that gives them GEO information about the computer currently logging in or other account activity.
I use the Geo Controller from https://wpgeocontroller.com/
But the shortcodes for rendering the users IP address and location are not rendering.
IP Address: [cfgeo return=”ip”]
Location: [cfgeo return=”address”]
Alternatives that GeoController has
IP Address: [cfgeo_ip]
Location: [cfgeo_address]
Neither will render in the emails your plugins sends out. But the shortcodes work on any page I place them on or if I add them to woocommerce emails.
please advise

]]>Hi there.
I am trying your plugin which seem great.
I want to override the email notification sent to a new user when it is first created.
It seems to work fine but the links.
I want to keep a link to reste password so I used shortcode[password_url].
But when the new user get the email notifiation he can’t click on the link, it is only text, but I checked I allowed HTML format for the notification email…
Thanks in advance for any help.
]]>Not sure what happened, but all of a sudden when I sent a password reset through wp-login, I get the old system text email.
Why is this happening?
]]>The users with subscriber role are not receiving the notification in the email for the new post published. The site has the latest version of the plugin and also has an SMTP setup. When checked in the Email log, the notifications were sent until Sept 23. Since then the notifications are not being sent. Notifications are sent to some users but for some users failed message is seen and further notifications to other users are not being sent.

]]>We were testing out changing some notifications and ran into two problems, one extermemly major.
#1 We were trying to customize a notification from the BP Docs plugin and when it didn’t work (see second issue below) we deleted the custom notification and the site stopped sending the default notification at all. Even when we deleted the plugin. Luckily, we tested this on a staging site but now we are stuck unable to test anything else unless we blow away the site…
#2 if we get #1 resolved then it would be nice to get a fix here: Notifications go out to people who shouldn’t get them, like notices from buddypress private groups. Is there a way to have this plugin respect things like buddyprewss and bbpress?
]]>I have added plugin 1.9.3. I just want to custom one template not all templete. How we can achieve this.
]]>I need to install below plugin. I am using PHP 7.4.33. When i try to install plugin version 1.9.6 it thorws “This plugin does not work with your version of PHP.?Learn more about updating PHP.”
https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/bnfw/
Plugin should work with 7.4 .
]]>I am running PHP 7.4. but the plugin isn’t updating.
I get an error message saying the plugin requires 8.0, however, the version 1.9.6 details states “Requires PHP: 7.4 or higher”.
Version: 1.9.6
Author: Made with Fuel
Last Updated: 5 days ago
Requires WordPress: 4.8 or higher
Compatible up to: 6.6.1
Requires PHP: 7.4 or higher
Thank you
From version BNWP 1.9.3, PHP version 8.0+ was needed. In the specs from version 1.9.6 now I see that PHP 7.4+ will work.
Is PHP 8.0+ no longer needed?
]]>Hello, we have configured our wordpress site in order to moderate certain comments, these are directly put in the trash. But we still receive a notification informing us that a new comment to moderate is pending. How can you solve this problem?

]]>I created a notification (using this plugin) that after a user registers successfully with Ultimate Member, a notification will be sent to the admin email with the user’s information. The received notification email contains the correct information for all the shortcodes, however, user first and last names are missing. I saw other threads saying that Ultimate Member may be writing the First and Last Name twice, but I have no idea how to work through this to solve it. Any help would be appreciated.
Shortcodes used:
User Firstname: [user_firstname]
User Lastname: [user_lastname]
Thanks,
Matt
we have set up a bunch of notifications around adding users and resetting passwords etc.
All of these work great.
However, when trying to set up a notification for the user to receive when their password is changed, nothing is sending.
Notification is enabled and the test email works perfectly – it just doesn’t work when a user actually changes their password
Hello,
I have two sites running Better Notifications for WP. Both of which also have the plugin GEOController which identifies users Geo location information and makes this data available to be rendered via shortcodes.
Both sties are running the same versions of Better Notifications 1.9.6 and GeoController 8.6.9.
Site 1 is running WP 6.2.2 with PHP 7.4.13
This site renders the GEOcontroller shortcodes in emails being sent out with Better Notifications
Site2 running WP 6.5.5 with PHP 8.1.12
This site will NOT render the GEOController shortcodes in emails.
examples of the shortcodes not rendering in the emails being sent.
IP Address: [cfgeo return=”ip”]
Location: [cfgeo return=”address”]
below is a listing of all the shortcodes that GeoController supports.
https://wpgeocontroller.com/documentation/quick-start/cf-geoplugin-shortcodes.
I have tried disabling plugins to get it to work. But it seems that Better Notifications is ignoring the shortcodes that are being creating by the GeoController plugin.
I spoke to the developer of GeoController and he is does not know why the shortcode is not being rendered in notifications sent through your plugin on one site and not the other. As the shortcodes work everywhere else they have been placed. He suggested reaching out to you as the shortcodes are working everywhere else.
please advise.
]]>Hello,
We used your plugin to set up notifications for one of our clients, they have complained that notifications are not sending when users create custom post types from the frontend, but they get notifications when such custom post type is created from the WP admin dashboard.
Please what could be causing this?
]]>Based on this: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/notifications/disable-default-wordpress-emails/
… I have assumed that we should be able to suppress the sending of transactional emails notifying users of email changes by doing the following:
This doesn’t seem to work.
I’ve verified that if the notification is enabled, the Better Notifications version of the notification will trigger & send in place of the system version. However, when I disable the BNFW notification, the system notifications are once again sent, not suppressed.
Is there something else I need to do?
[It’s important for us to do this because our SSO plugin checks the case of email addresses in user profiles and changes them to lower case if there are any upper case characters. This generates confusing emails to users.)
]]>Dear Betternotifications,
I had the free verison of the plugin and I used it only to send email notifications to my subscribers if a new post is posted… However I faced an issue: some people got notifications, some people did not. I wonder if it is because free version has a limitation about to how many people can it send emails?! If yes which package should I buy to be able to send notification to 10.000 people?
Thank you,
Marcell

]]>Hello, I am asking for help with a problem, I have reviewed the plugin and I think it has everything I am looking for, but just when I was going to pay the membership I ran into a problem.
When I upload my HTML emails and click on update the email buttons are deformed for some reason. Could you help me with this, I have seen a post that shows a code that needs to be added to correct, but I can’t find the line where each part should go and I can’t find the code that needs to be replaced.
I would appreciate a help with this problem or in case that code that you commented in the post works for me https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/corrupted-emails/page/2/
I would appreciate it if you could explain to me which line should be changed because I tried to look for the code that should be replaced and I could not find it and I would also appreciate if you could tell me under which line the other fragment should be placed here I leave the html email so that you can review it and see what the error is, everything looks good except the buttons, when I click on save the buttons are deformed.

I want to sent email to new users when their accounts are created by file import, but when I try to insert some short codes in the email, found the codes are not working, can help me to check it? thanks.

I have created a notification email which goes to admin when a new listing is created, for their approval. It comes the link to the new listing, which is good.
Can the admin also get some link in the same email when clicked allows them to login to the wordpress so that they can then manually approve the listing after seeing it is all legitimate?
I can add a password free link in the email template but that may not be the best way forward, hence I thought if you have some ideas.
Thanks

Just installed BNWP and testing a “New post notification”. The only recipient for the test is “Administrator” (me).
Many thanks for you support to fix that.

our endpoint is /wp/v2/insider_tips/ and we’re pushing the status, title, content and author.
is there a function we can add that triggers the notification when the endpoint successfully creates a post?
