My main goal was to find a multi-language plugin that supports REST API using some easy, expected methods to pull the multi-language content. After trying a few language plugins, I realized not many supported REST API, or you needed to pay for it… when I tried Bogo, it was simple and intuitive, no fuss. Getting the language was also super easy through REST API… you can pass in a lang parameter (i.e. [URL]/wp-json/wp/v2/posts?lang=zh OR [URL]/zh/wp-json/wp/v2/posts … ), this is the expected way to get the language you expect…

Bogoで日本語と英語のページを固定ページで作成して運用してましたが、ある日突然日本語ページが”Not found”と”No post”の文字が出てエラーになりました。
ちなみに英語のページは見れます。
色々調べましたが、Bogoプラグインを消したらそのサイトを見れるようになったのでまず間違いなさそうです。どうすればエラーが無くなるでしょうか？

I tried Bogo everal times, the older versions didn’t work for me, or I couldn’t find all the settings.
Now I gave it one more try because I’ve had it with Google translate crappy plugins, and it all works! I’m almost done translating my complete site (a lot of work), but the way Bogo is build it is as solid as a rock.
Menu translation is done by apointing translated menu items, you can let the menu item to a specific language with a check box. Something you realy have to know, it took me some time to find it. That brings me to the following.
A short manual is in place for this plugin. It will realy prevent users to step out and look for another solution. Pitty, becuase it’s a great plugin.

Easy to use, not sure why the last guy wrote a bad review. I use Site Origin Page Builder and it works fine with Bogo.

Elementor is a great pagebuilder. It’s very pity that this plugin seems not be compatible with Elementor.
The language switcher is a static list version with no extra options.
Maybe it’s made only for standard WordPress websites without more layout extensions…?
I miss really more modern layout possibilities.

dear team, thank you so much for making this plugin. since a long time, I am looking for a free yet powerful language switcher plugin for my WordPress site. I have tried so many plugins, either they are not powerful or they are very high in the budget. recently, I am researching about the developer of “contact form 7” plugin. I realised they have made one more plugin called “BOGO”, and it is related to multi-language. I tried “BOGO” in my wp site and it was great.
I really like that we can add language switcher block in the footer as a widget. my question is, can we add this language switcher block/button in the header menu or anywhere near the top of the website. so that visitor can know that this site is also available in another language.

A light weight multilingual plugin that does one thing only: Provide you a means to create a WordPress site in multiple languages. You are yourself responsible to provide the translations, which is a good thing.
It also works perfectly with Asgaros Forum.

I wish there was a little more documentation, but the plugin is so straightforward I figured everything out very quickly. It can easily work on custom post types and there’s an addon that makes it work with ACF for custom fields. I couldn’t ask for more. Thanks a lot.
