Hi,
Great plugin. My only request is that I’d like to make it “randomize” the pace (ie sometimes it takes 2000ms to change, sometimes 5000ms etc).
Is this possible?
Thanks
]]>Hi there,
I love the plugin but I can’t get the counter to increase by 1 per 24 hrs. I have added 86400000 as the pace. Please see the full shortcode I have used:
[thecounter num=”1455″ date=”2015-07-22″ increment=”1″ pace=”86400000″]
I am hoping to increase the count to 1456 tomorrow.
At the minute I just get a huge number of around 3 million plus. Can you steer me in the right direction?
Hello, I’d like to set the number to equal a variable. Basically I’m summing up a column in a database table and I’d like to display that number instead of using a static number.
]]>Hello, you have a great plugin! however when I activate it, it makes all my text display in a long line. I am currently useing the theme woo/canvas. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. current site is at https://www.taxtotals.com/

Hey,
Thanks for this amazing plugin.
How do I use this as a widget?
Regards,
]]>First of all, let me say the plugin idea and what it does is great.
The idea behind what you’ve done is really good i am happy to have something like this if only it worked right.
Here’s what I’ve found wrong so far and i hope you don’t take offense.
This is going to be hard to explain since this wordpress support will strip out links, pictures and everything else.
1. There’s no way to contact you. (i get you don’t want to be hassled)
2. When you download the plugin and go to the plugin settings, it has a link saying click here to visit plugin support/homepage. This link takes you to a site which clearly has nothing to do with this plugin or support. This is completely misleading.
3. There’s you’re own website which i cannot post the link too.
On the website it gives instructions how to use this plugin.
Them instructions CLEARLY break the whole shortcode.
Example:
On you’re instructions on you’re own website andylroberts.
It says the following.
his plugin was the result of my search for something simple and elegant with the ability to accurately represent the number of books we have delivered over time.
Simply install the plugin and then create a shortcode similar to this: (add ‘[‘ and ‘]‘ to the following text)
thecounter num=”989432″ date=”2013-04-02″ increment=”2″ pace=”600″
Anyone following this will not get a working shortcode.
Problem 1. You’re using Curly “”‘s this doesn’t work in wordpress.
Anyone copy pasting this from your website it doesn’t work.
Problem 2. adding [‘ before the code will break the code completely it has to be [ and adding ‘] at the end with [‘ at the beginning will just baffle people completely until they give up.
Problem 3. You say add this as a widget??? The size of this flip counter doesn’t decrease in size.. how can you possibly add this size counter to a right/left hand widget??? 99% of themes are way to small, again this is going to completely baffle people.
And finally… For some reason and i wish to god i could figure out why it won’t display correctly. i have a 3px white gap splitting the counter up unlike the version on you’re website which is flawless.
I’ve tried every shortcode variation possible i cannot get this to show without the 3px gap between the top numbers and the bottom.
Since i cannot post a link to an image here, I’m stuck on showing you.
And since i cannot contact you on the website i cannot get any further.
I’m willing to donate a few bucks to you for this to be on the right hand side of my website in the right hand widget area. working correctly.
Are you interested in helping out? I hate to post this public but you leave me no choice what so ever since i cannot contact you directly.
]]>Thank you for this awesome plugin…
Just a question, could you please tell me how to change the formula to make it count-down, so basically it should subtract each interval not add.
Best regards
Simon
]]>I found your counter and absolutely love it, but unfortunately it is only compatible up to version 3.5.2 and breaks my site which is using version 3.9.1 after activation. Any chance that you’d update it to be compatible with the latest versions?
]]>Can you use multiple counters on the same page?
When I attempt to do so, all the counters line up under each other instead of where I had originally placed them.
]]>Any idea how I can change the size of the counter? I want to make it smaller.
]]>Hi, nice plugin.
One suggestion is if in main.php and counter.css the id=”wrapper” could instead be id=”counter-wrapper” as many themes use #wrapper around the main content, and in particular the white-space: nowrap; caused a few problems
]]>Any chance you can expose the ‘auto’ parameter to the shortcode? I modified it locally, but if I ever update the plugin it will be overwritten.
I’m trying to just display a number, so the shortcode would look like [thecounter num=”50″ auto=”false”]. I then update the number manually when I need to count down.
]]>When I activated it it messed up the background color for my site. From white it became black.
