Plugin causes pages in edit mode to lose connection

This is a great plugin, but recently it has caused a conflict. It causes pages in edit mode to time out after 30 seconds or so. The website uses WP Bakery Editor and Kleo theme, but the problem persist even if I use the Classic Editor. If I use the plugin, then I have about 30 seconds to edit and save a page before the connection is lost. I tested it multiple times, when the plugin is active, the problem happens every time. Deactivate the plugin and editing pages, then the problem goes away everytime. Could you look at a fix for this. I cannot think why this plugin is connected to this problem, but the evidence speaks for itself. Thanks in advance for any help with resolving the issue. Here is the message you get when the plugin is active and when you edit a page and wait 30 seconds or so.
“Connection lost.?Saving has been disabled until you are reconnected.?This post is being backed up in your browser, just in case.”

Hi all,
I’m new to Buddypress and struggle to adapt the Buddypress group description to something more dynamic and good looking. For instance I would like to embedd in the description per group a Google Map for the exact location of the group. However when trying to embed an iframe code from Google it doesn’t work. Also to embed some colums into the description I struggled. Tried to download the Buddybuilder plugin with Elementor, however this only allows to embedd the same Google Maps for all groups, tried it with the iframe plugin and also failed.

Any help highly appreciated.

I have created a Custom Profile Menu under the url

https://www.mydomain.com/members/username/mymenu/

But this page is actually public.

I would like to make this page private for each user, and only for users that are above the role of subscriber.

Exactly the same way the url
https://www.mydomain.com/members/username/settings/
behaves for each user, when they try to access someone elses same type of page.

For example=>
For non logged in users, trying to have access to the page, redirects them to login page.
For subscribers, they shouldn’t have access to this page related with their profile or someone elses profile.
For above roles(lower than admin), they should have access only to their profile and no one elses profile.
For admins, could have access to everybodys profile.

I have tried to use condition if(!is_user_logged_in() && bp_is_current_component( $bp->members->mymenu))
but didn’t seem to work.

Would it be possible to give me a help on this?

Hello, the plugging was working great until I tried adding a 6th sub page under the same menu item. Every time I add a 6th sub page, another page under the same parent menu disappears. I can have 5 sub pages, but the 6th kills the first sub page that was added.

Am I doing something wrong?

I have two websites with BuddyPress and BuddyPress Groups installed on both.
One installation works as expected with the Forum menu appearing before “Group Activities” on the page: https://english-anywhere.com/groups/getting-started/

Hi, when user change profile photo through mobile phone, the photo uploaded successfully but when user enter to their profile (using mobile phone) the photo is not showing in home and profile tab. However in other tabs and pages the photo is showing. Issue not happening when using pc. Please help. Thanks.

Format Of Added Pages Not The Same

Hello,

We love the ability to easily add menu items and pages. Great job!

Our issue is that most of the pages we add through this tool end up looking different than the stock pages that BuddyPress comes with. The plugin-generated pages have a different looking menu, the profile images are square instead of round as selected in the Appearance settings for BuddyPress, etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions for determining how to make all the pages generated with this pluggin conform to the Appearance settings we specified for BuddyPress? Thanks for the help!

Is it possible to add ‘notification counters’ to the relevant tabs ie: Groups, Members, Activity, Friends, Notifications etc in the menu created by Custom Profile Menu for Buddypress. They appear in the default Buddypress menu but are not replicated in your ‘Custom Profile Menu for Buddypress’.

This is a Buddypress code that rewrites the menu. But with your plugin activated many ( not all ) sub items are duplicated.

It seems to be related to the Custom Profile Menu for BuddyPress Plugin by If I disable the plug in it works fine
So this is the problem (the b is not affected by activating you plugin)

1. The loop for the sub-menus is
a. Duplicating many (activity, notifications, messages are fine. See setting, groups, friends …)

Looking at the documentation for bp_nav_menu() there is an argument for walker that there is no documentation I could find.
Could that help solve this or is it something else.

hi,

i read 3 topics about this on support section, but i think user are right bp_core_remove_nav_item not working properly on your plguin.

for example if i create two menus

Menu 1: addreviews
Menu 2: myreviews

So far, all menu works fine and can be access in all users profile. But if i want to display only addreviews to all profiles, but hide myreviews here is my code:

now myreview is hiding, good! But if i try to access addreviews, it give also 404 error page, but i didn’t remove it from nav item. i think if i remove one item, all item not accessing in your plugin and return 404. you can test your self, i tested many times with default wordpress theme… something going wrong on your plugin.

please let me know a soon as possible how to fix or quick fix for this until you release new update?

edit menu item with elementor

I want to edit the pages I’m creating for my profile with elementor pro. When going into the elementor settings > general > post types the bp custom menu cpt is not available. I have found that the CPT name is [Custom Profile Menu for BuddyPress Pages] and the slug is [bp_custom_menu_page] but neither of these appear on my list. I am using jetengine to manage my cpts, so if there is some setting I can change for this CPT to make it available in the elementor settings that will work. Otherwise, perhaps there is a code snippet I can run that will activate the elementor editor for this post type?

Hi,

I have a problem with a shortcode which is not working.
At my shared link you can see that shortcode is working fine in normal wordpress page.
But when i use the same shortcode in your plugin for a custom menu, im not able to click the tabs “Alle”, B2B”, etc.

Any idea why this not can work?
The plugin which shortcode is from, is the Simple Link Directory plugin.

How can I create a link from a normal WordPress menu to one of the pages created in Custom Profile Menu for BuddyPress?

Because they are not normal pages post type, they don’t show up in the WordPress Appearance > Menus, and the URLs are dynamically generated with the user’s username as part of the URL, so I can’t use a Custom Link. If the pages within Custom Profile Menu for BuddyPress were normal page post type, then this wouldn’t be an issue.
