I am tested this plugin and work fine, but I have a problem, I am using buddyboss platform, and when I use the option t invite user with a specific role doesn’t work.

For example, I invite “Juan” and I want that he join with the role “Teacher” but with this plugin when He joins, He automatically join with the role subscriber.

I want to know if it’s possible that the plugin detect the role who I invite the user and don’t change it.

The plugin works fine and does what it says even though it had not been updated for quite a long time. The only problem is that when I activate BP Disable Activation Reloaded, every new registration is duplicated in the sitewide activity stream which is a pretty annoying issue…

I don’t know if the support is still active, but it would be great to check this issue if so!

Foe example I want to redirect user after signup to https://www.example.com/members/username

which is the username can be different between users. how can I achieve this? is that possible?

hi, this works with BuddyPress!

However, we don’t like your feature to automatically activate new users.

The whole reason we want to turn off the activation emails to users, is because we want the admin to approve them. So, your plugin gives us the former, but takes away the latter.

Please add option to NOT automatically activate new users.

Is there a way we can prevent automatic activation in your plugin, with PHP or changes to your files?

Will this suppress the “Check Your Email To Activate Your Account” message after a person registers? If not, do you know where I can edit this message, or re-direct to another page? Thanks!

After creating a new user this plugin logs out the current user then logs in as the user you added. Is there a way to stop this? If you are adding 1 or 2 users its tolerable, but in my case I have to add multiple users every so often (promotions etc) and this could make it not worth it

I solved my issue with double email notification however when a new user create his account he can see on his activity wall double posts.

Exemple: XXX subscribe tomorrow at 6pm

This information is display 2 times.

I like the options in this as it helps with the registration process, but I would like to completely remove or not require the EMAIL field. We don’t need it, and for users who want to recover passwords, we are doing that manually.

When I use cyrillic characters in the redirect URL it doesn’t redirect corectly.

Example:

I updated to the latest version and clicked the “click here to fix all the pending…” link. However, I have 4100 pending accounts (due to spammers) and the link starts to work, I get a LARGE number of emails telling me that “John Jones” has requested a username, and then I get a 500 error. When I refresh the page, I get the same number of pending users.

Is there a way to “manually” delete those pending activations directly in the db without screwing anything up?

If I delete the entries in the “signups” table manually, will that “fix” the problem?

After i installed this plugin.

Then it post double on buddypress wall when new people register.

And i get 2 emails.

Has anyone else run into this?

The plugin is auto activating registrations the way it is supposed to do, which is great. However, when I click on “Users” I see that all my new users (test accounts I created) are still in the “Pending” tab. I tried to manually activate the users, but got a message that they had already been activated (even though they’re in the pending tab). I would just shrug my shoulders, but I also noticed that WordPress is not sending out the new user registration emails to users (you know, with the password, etc). So that’s kind of a problem…

So the users are in this limbo where they’re activated in the sense that they’re logged in and they can access the content protected areas of the site. However, WordPress is not recognizing them to put them in the “active” tab in the “Users” admin panel, and also is not sending emails. (I did verify that the mail function itself is working properly. WordPress will send me an email if go through the lost password process.)

Maybe I am misunderstanding how the plugin works but after activating it and trying to register an account + blog on a WPMU install I still get the “click link to activate” email.

The plugin is working fine but the user is not being assigned any site role. The backend admin shows no role for this site. Its not picking up the default user role.

How do i fix this?
