Hello, I noticed your POKE plugin for Buddypress states that it the WordPress Version is 4.5 or higher. Does that include the current version 5.7? or has this plugin been retired, or something. I just want to know if it is safe to use given the wordpress warning that it was lat updated 1 year ago.

hi there, I am wondering of ways to hide buddypress poke button towards certain user who’s not logged in. so that only registered user can poke another user.

any idea how to do that? and where can I find hook and filter related to buddypress poke?

Hello, I wanted to let you know that this plugin causes a fatal error whenever the BuddyPress Activity component is not enabled.

This seems to be the underlying cause of the issue mentioned in this ticket, which got no replies: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fatal-error-1770/

It would be much better for users if the plugin deactivated itself and displayed a message to the admin instead of crashing the site in the event that BuddyPress Activity component is disabled.

Hello thank you for your plugin,

Here is my question:
Now this is a cycle like: poke->poke back->poke back->…
I would like to reset this cycle after the first poke back : poke->poke back->reset
After poking back the cycle stop and the button from the start “poke” coming back instead of an infinite poke back between the two users.
Could you help me to modify your code to have this result ?

Also I suggest few improvements for next update :
-possibility to cancel a poke (from the user who poked)
-possibility to reject a poke (from the user who get poked)
-possibility for email notification after a poke
-Add the Pokes to the buddypress panel menu (top and side menu with notifications, messages …)

Hi,

This seems like a great plugin to use but for some reason upon installing and activating the plugin we get a fatal error. We are not able to use the website at all until we delete the plugin.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_get_activity_slug() in /home/20desi/public_html/website/wp-content/plugins/bp-poke/bp-poke-screens.php on line 23

i change the translation files with poedit and its doesnt work. i named new translation files “bp-poke-de_DE” with .po and .mo extensions.

i see it only in English.
