I have problems with this plugin together with the use of Elementor. On my buddypress pages the header and footer are made with Elementor and that works fine, because I just insert these two areas on any page. But with your plugin and the blocked page some header colors and other variables (mostly global variables) not been loaded by Elementor.

I tested and reduced the code from the blocked.php page just to call “get_header()” and “get_footer()” without any body text but no difference.
Then I went to the page.php Astra fallback template and also reduced the code to just call the header and footer. Then the header/footer looks correct!

So there must be the wrong time or the wrong place where this file is called to make the elementor header mess up.

How can I fix this? Am I able to call the blocked.php in a shortcode for example which I then can insert into a page made in the editor? Or maybe call other functions which been missed in this file to make it work well?

Or, third thought, call your blocked.php with the correct page template loaded?

I need to delete the plugin from my site, are there any tables and folders that need to be deleted?

The plugin worked fine, just decided to go a different direction and it’s no longer needed.

I am facing an issue in avatar upload page. It is printing {{data.filename}} and showing %7B%7B%7Bdata.url%7D%7D%7D” in image source like this

We are running a Buddyboss site and have found out that we the block feature doesn’t work on the profile’s page for displayed the activities the user has liked. This means that if user A is blocked by user B but user A has liked activities by user B then user A can still view and comment on the liked activities posted by user B. And if user A visit user C and user C has liked some activities by user B then user A can view and comment on the activities posted by user B even though user A is blocked by user B.

In /includes/class-bp-toolkit-suspend.php I find the following filters:

It seems the following line is missing:

add_filter( 'bp_activity_set_favorites_scope_args', array( $this, 'override_scope' ), 99 );

But it doesn’t work just adding that line so there must be something more to it.

Anyway it would be great it this loophole could be taken care of.

I’ve been trying to get my app in the app stores, but Apple demands that I let users block others users and/or hide/ignore their comments (Google as well, but they let it slide). The only affordable way I’ve found so far is to let users block each other through Buddypress (or a similar plugin). However, even with Buddypress + Block/Suspend add-on + WpDiscuz BuddyPress add-on, when logged in as a user, I still see the (old & new) comments from users that I blocked. Is there any way to do this?

I see in the description for this plugin that it is “Fully tested” with Better messages plugin. Better messages has its own block feature. Is that supposed to be synced with the block feature of this plugin and vice versa. So that if user A block user B in a chat room. Then that block is synced with the block feature of the community as whole? And vice versa if user A blocks user B in the community pages (Buddypress or Buddyboss) will user B be blocked in the better messages chat room as well?

Or what is too expect when you declare “Fully tested with Better messages”?

I am using BP Nouveau and the report and block buttons are using <li> tags. But as you can see the parent “member-header-actions” is a DIV and not a <UL>. Private message button is also a DIV. This is causing issues with alignment. Can you please correct this. Thank you

When we update the buddypress to version 11 the backend admin is not accessible. The memory PHP 512 limit is exhausted. We have disabled all plugins apart from this one and buddypress which causes this crash.

I am having an issue with the latest version of your plugin where it only displays the suspend option on the members page. If I click suspend as an admin, I get a blank page with a 0 in the top left corner. I have tried rolling back and the only versions I get are 1.0.5 and earlier. Rolling back to 1.0.5, everything works as expected, and block is displayed. Clicking Suspend actually suspends the account as expected. I have tried to downgrade php 8.1 to 8.0 with no effect. Turning on wp debug shows no error and still only shows a white page with 0 in top left corner. I am reverting the version to 1.0.5 as this version at least works in the interim. Do you have any ideas of what else it could be? I would appreciate any insights you can give.

I noticed some strange issues in friends request.

1) Wrong number of friend-requests
In notification top bar it says there are new request.
But when I click there and check my friend request, there are no pending requests.
One request stays always there fixed in the top bar.
Why that?

The same happens to messages.
It says there are unread messages, even when I have read them all already.

Could this happen because I deactivated the plugin after I tested it?

I’d like to activate the functionality as detailed in a recent update to the plugin:

“Adds a filter (bsr_cancel_friendship_on_block) that tells the plugin to cancel existing friendships when a user blocks another. Defaults to false.”

Could you please provide the relevant code snippet for this? I don’t see any option in the plugin settings.

I’m having a few issues I thought I would make one thread:

– On mobile view, statuses get cut off to the next line mid-word. Can a better word wrap be added somehow?
– Photos are showing in activity feed but just part of the photo shows and clicking the thumbnail doesn’t link to full-size. It looks bad.
– I don’t see privacy options on the posts. Buddypress has that out of the box. Is Youzify hiding this out-of-the-box feature to sell it on premium tier?
– I liked rtMedia plugin for photos and they displayed nicely on activity page. Is this incompatible with Youzify?

I am using Block, Suspend, Report user reports for BuddyPress plugin. I did not find any spammy, violent or harassing, unwanted, misleading or fraudulent files on Loco Translate. It’s not in the pot file either. As a result, I cannot translate the parts in the reporting section into Turkish. How can I solve this problem?

I want to create a community where users e.g. can submit recipes (plugin ‘cooked’) and I want to use a different plugin for having members upload images and videos, as rtmedia doesn’t cover what I need. Those type of plugings are not part of buddypres, still I need the functionality to give other users the possibility to report content created with those plugins. Does your plugin provide this?

I recently updated to latest version (from very old version, a year at least) but an issue still persists.

Briefly:

– UserA sends friend request to UserB.
– Blue bubble shows “1” in UserB Buddypress drop-down menu, next to Friends, as expected. All good.
– Before UserB has chance to accept/reject this friend request, UserA blocks them, for whatever reason.
– The blue bubble indicator still persists for UserB, but now that they are blocked, they can not view this still-pending request in order to accept/reject. Their Friendships/Requests area says “No pending requests”
– They are now stuck with this “phantom” blue bubble indicator, permanently, they can’t get rid of it.

Can you help please?

jus heads up – does not work with great theme Gwangi (far as I can tell). Only 1 arrow button shows on both profile and member list. Any ideas welcome.

Also can I change the arrow icon? – does not look like block to me?

It seems like some strings are not translatable (yet?).

For example the following string (found in blocking.php):

<p>See all the <a href="<?php echo bp_loggedin_user_domain() . 'settings/bptk_blocked' ?>">users you are currently blocking</a>.</p>

Is it possible you can add the needed code to make this string translatable?

I don’t prefer to edit core files of a plugin.

Issue number 1: When a member is reported, I am not able to remove the upheld status. When I click the remove upheld button, it shows as green and when it is updated, the status reverts to upheld and the button shows red. There seems to be no way to delete the report.
Issue number 2: No email is sent to administrator that the report has been made despite the send email to administrator setting being ticked. I have reinstalled the email using the Buddypress tool, Reinstall emails (delete and restore from defaults)..
Issue number 3: When a member has been suspended and that member tries to log back in, there is no message telling them that their account has been suspended despite the setting being ticked.

We just released a FREE version of Youzify and we were forced to change the prefixes as suggested by the WordPress Review team from yz_ to youzify_ which made the plugins not compatible anymore.

I just did a quick check on the code and found that there was 3 spots for our filters. Please change the “yz_” prefix to “youzify_” and they should work fine as before with this new version.

Does the blocking feature in this plugin completely hide the blocked user in all areas of the site? I understand that if you block someone you can no longer see their profile or messages. But does it also hide their comments in places like forums and groups? Or are forums and groups unaffected by the block?

Hello the plugin does not work with the vikinger theme. The site displays “HTTP ERROR 500”.

The problem is that youzer has changed to youzify and does not work with youzify (formerly youzer)

The makers of youzify told me that they are willing to work with you to make it compatible with youzify.

Of course after they offered their own paying block member plugin.

Is there any possibility to make it compatible with youzify, whether or not together with the creators of youzify ?

As the topic says, is there any way we can change the landing page for a suspended user trying to log-in? I need to use a bespoke/branded page rather than the standard WordPress login page (wp-login.php).
