4boards.co.uk has been suffering resource issues for some time, this is being caused by Useragents / BOTs using an excessive number of Brands in queries when crawling the site. e.g. https://4boards.co.uk/shop/?filtering=1&filter_product_brand=948,291,768,1033,1287,344,342,1413,1543,401,156,1384,275,796,1417,769,1992,296,2207,1483,1576,295,276,856,1229,143,119,2038,1080,157,2823,1593,706
Our host |Kinsta has put LIMITS on many Bots, however, at one time today, Petalbot was running 30 queries resulting in us asking for Petalbot to be banned at the system level.
As a consequence of high resource usage by non-customer accounts we have been forced to updgrade our plan and now have 8 PHP Threads, which still sometimes run out.
Several customers complained that Paypal Advance Payments freezes at Authorisation, when API is taking place, we put this down to an issue with the Paypal Plugin but are now convinced, due to random occurences, that these issues are caused by insufficient resource being available.
The issue of resource being abused by BOTs using Brands queries was mentioned to the development team when the Woo 9.7 Brands plugin was under construction, however, the integrated version is no different and can easily be used by Bots to cripple a site thus impacting business considerably.
]]>Hello!
My brand page is not working like it should using this plugin. When showing a brand page the main store logo and banner disappears with various other design elements being broken. Also it will show some default wordpress “About us blog” and “Latest comments” at the bottom (which is completely disabled in wordpress)
Is there a way to disable these pages being made? As it’s very ugly and google is crawling these pages.

Hello! My brand page using this plugin is broken. It removes the top logo / banner and it also adds the wordpress “About us” and “Latest comment” at the bottom.
Is there anyway to disable the brand page all together? As google crawls these pages and it does not look good at all

Dear Forum,
I use Brands plugin and yesterday I decided to change the permalinks stucture in wp settings.
After the change my website couldn’t show any of the product pages (Yes, I use woocommerce). I know there may be other reasons why it’s happening, so I started troubleshooting process eg.: giving write access to .htaccess file (666 for temporarily only), disabling code snippets, and disable all the plugins, which solved the 404 error on product pages. The issue comes back when I turn Brands plugin back.
Can you help me how to proceed further or is there a way to see logs, that are related to this issue?
Thank you for your help in advance.
I get this error and now this app is gone on my site. How do I get it back?

]]>Hi,
Brands for WooCommerce is causing quite some issues lately. I’m not able to save my nav menu in the menu editor. Disabling the plugin makes it possible again. The page is loading forever and then just dies. It’s not a memory issue.
Also, when accessing the create new product page, the plugin is doing some 30k queries to the db which makes the page take 50 seconds to load. Check screenshot below:
We are using version 3.8.6
Is this something we can expect to be fixed or should we stop using the plugin?

Hi,
This plugin has a lot of potential for me. I would like to know how to display all of the categories for a brand. Currently the brand page only displays some of the products. For example, I sell computers and related products. If I go to https://www.example.com/brands/dell I see many but not all Dell products. I would like to see all of the categories with Dell products instead. So that would be a brand page with desktop computers, laptop computers, charger cables, etc. How can I accomplish this?
Thank you!

The Products come into Woo without a “Brand” assigned and show as In-Stock (all have quantities).
I Edit the Products and do nothing but add “BrandX” using Brands for Woocommerce, by BeRocket.
All the Products then show as Out-of-Stock.

]]>Hello, I am sorry but I have found the help pages to be not helpful at all, and not easy to understand, I have the plugin installed and using the following shortcode [brb_catalog style=”horizontal”] I have managed to create an alphabetical list of brands. However, when selecting a brand the display is not satisfactory. I want the display to look the same as the shop pages I produced using the Divi Builder. Not I see there is a BeRocket module available, but how to use it is very unclear, whenever I choose and option it just creates a banner with the the name of the module and the front end is blank.
Is it possible to get an explanation of how to use this, do I need the shop addon or what I don’t know.
Some help with clear explanations of the procedure or even a video would be great.
]]>Good day I am using the free version of this plugin, and so far it looks like it is exactly what I need. However, I do have a question regarding the short codes, I see that they all have a comprehensive set of options, but how do you change those options according to your needs?
Does that only work with the purchased version, or did I miss something?

Save menu timeout
Hello,
After much research, when the Brands for Woocommerce plugin is activated, the menu save loops until the php timeout.
The slowdown is felt as soon as any link is inserted in the menu. (5 to 10 seconds to display it in the menu)
When saving, the script loops without saving, but does not announce an error either.

Just wondered if it was possible to add an email address into the brand data. I need this field, but it doesn’t need to be shown to the customers

Hi,
I divided some pages within the site by brand, on each page I filtered the products by brand but the pagination doesn’t work. The link to go to page 2, 3, 4…etc does not work. I think it’s related to the plugin because the woocommerce category pagination works instead. The theme used is DIVI. What could it be?
Thank you

Hello,
why do you not reply to support questions here like my question before?
Why you also not reply via email?
Next question:
Why product brands are not exported via any export plugin?
All other brand plugins export brand information in product export. Your plugin also can not handle this basics?

Hi, I am having issues with the brands plugin. I have a template for the brands archive pages in the Divi Theme Builder. I have tried adding the new short code [brb_products_list] but this shows no results blank page , also tried this code [products brands] which then shows all the products, not just the products for the current brands archive page. I have also tried the products list module set to current but again nothing shows. Please help as I am not sure what I am doing wrong?

]]>I don’t know how to correctly put the shortcode in the product page of elementor. Is simply not working.
]]>Hej.
I want to use the brand plugin and it works fine. Except the “brand detail”-page. If I click on the brand on the product-detail page, products page or on the brand overview-page it will open a page which is different to the normal theme pages (tried different themes).
It has a different layout, header and footer as the others.
https://weinschatz.irrsinn.it/?berocket_brand=alexs
And the strange thing is, I can’t find the page/template in the templates part.
If I click new template and I choose brand it looks in the template view fine, but the frontend won’t use that and shows that one (URL before).
Layout with the default layout parts:

Any idea?

Hi,
we configured the plugin to show only products that are in stock and to hide brand when no stock products are available with this shortcode:
[brb_brands_list per_row=3 slider=0 hide_empty=1 out_of_stock=1]
That mostly works, but when a product
– is public
– has stock = 0
– and has catalog visibility = hidden (or only in search),
the product is counted in the brand list view and that should not be the case.
Additionally, when you then open the brand detail view it shows “no products found”.
You can see it in this screenshot: https://ibb.co/WtPdSyT
The correct behavior should be, that the brand counter does not count this product and that the brand does not appear in the brand list.
Did I miss a configuration, or is this a missing feature / bug?
Regards
Claudia
Hi There
I need to show product catogories on a brand page how is this possible? This is an urgent request, if its not a function which I dont believe it is, is it possible using custom code
]]>Hello friend abd hello support. ??
We using this plugin and need to show brand name and thumb of brand on detail page.
The product detailpage we have build in elementor.
Now we stuck in the most simple job:
We can not show brand name and brand logo on detailpage via shortcode in elementor template.
[product_brands_info] -> no values/data shown in frontend.
Screenshot: https://i.postimg.cc/R07C93xt/Bildschirmfoto-2024-05-02-um-12-27-30.png
I many other users stuck in this elementor product template case and the issue is closed without any final feedback and final solution: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/brand-name-not-showing-single-product-page/
Any chance to show brand name and brand logo in product template build in elementor?
ALL! other free brand plugins can do that. This one have an paid version and both versions (paid and free) can not handle this basic pagebuilder template job without massive coding and theme file edit jobs?
