Users do not see the files we upload. Only after uploading the page. Why is that? What can we do? What is the solution?
]]>I’m hoping someone will get Buddydrive up to the latest WP version.
I can install it, and do some things with it, but it’s flaky. For example: As a group owner, I want to create a folder that’s private for me and for a specific group member. When I use the “Restricted to Members” option, and start typing a users screen name, their real name pops up instead. Ok, I can deal with that I guess. But when I select Edit (shouldn’t it be “Save”?), it saves, and the folder disappears from my visibility as group owner. So I tried another one, and it won’t let me add myself as a member the folder is restricted to. The autofill just never comes up with anything.
Again I’m hoping this will get updated at some point, because it’s almost exactly what I need.
]]>My internal website (not published to the public, only accessed internally), has a problem recently with BuddyDrive. When users want to see the files/documents in the BuddyDrive, they get an error message saying that they do not have permission to see them. The message is: You are not allowed to perform this action
However, if I log in with any user I can see the files.
The drive is public.
Am I missing something? Note that I have close to 0 experience in web development, as I am currently learning.
Hi
Some of my group folders & files have disappeared. I have a nasty feeling that having deleted the owner of the files/folders, triggered this (even though I said content should be transferred to me). I don’t think the files were private – probably restricted to group.
The files are still available if you have the link.
So my question is, is there anyway to restore these to show on the front end please? Thanks.
]]>Hi. Is it possible to restrict users to only be able to view files and not actually upload their own? We need the users to have access to their documents (uploaded by admins) but don’t want them to randomly upload other things to the folders.
]]>Hey,
When I download files from buddydrive, I can’t open them. The files aren’t recognized by their programs: I’m getting text messages as “its format or its extension isn’t valid”. When I download the files using ftp it works correct. I am using a windows server.
Probably there must be a problem in buddydrive-item-actions.php where a mime type is attributed to the file.
Can anybody help?
Tx,
Guido

]]>Hello,
Unfortunately, public files are not visible to other members.
Can you adjust that?
Thank you
]]>Good morning,
I have a BuddyPress installation on Enfold and so far I have used BuddyPress docs to upload files. With BuddyPress group email subscription I get to send email notifications to groups when a file is uploaded. I want the same but with BuddyDrive. I like the interface much more but I can’t get it to send the notifications. Could you help me? Is this possible? Thank you.
Hi,
is it possible to create a page and put buddy drive shortcode there, so users can see the drive not only within their profiles?
]]>Hi, Is it possible to tag the file uploaded just a product or a post is tagged.
Also Can the file upload be limited by a space which admin set, for example users can upload upto 10MB similar to google drive.

]]>Hi there,
I noticed that I can’t delete files within folders. If I refresh the page, the files reappear. I can delete files just fine if they are not within a folder. I can also delete the folders themselves without issue.

The search bar placeholder is not included in the translation template. How do I add this?
Thanks!
]]>Hi
I used buddydrive for groups.
When I rename a folder, the files that do not belong to the folder owner disappear.
They are still into the personnal drive of the user who own them, but are no longer assigned to the group and the folder.
It’s a big problem.
How to fix that ?
]]>I’m currently using this plugin via the Thrive theme purchased through ThemeForest. I’ve also reached out to them for support but thought i’d try direct here.
When users add files to their drive and set them to Public, they should theoretically show in all other users drives, should they not? Because currently they don’t and I can’t figure out why not.
]]>Good Morning,
Thank you very much first of all.
I have a problem and that is that when opening the folder where I have the files it only loads 20, I give it to load more files and it does not respond.
If I order by name it loads all the files without any problem. My question is, is there a way to change the default order to name? Or can I change that by default more than 20 files are displayed so that this problem does not?
A greeting.
]]>Hello,
I want to change the text in my BuddyPress navigation to read Upload Resume rather than BuddyDrive.
How can I do this?
]]>Hello there,
I really like your plugin and it is what I need for my site.
But I also need to be able to guide the user for uploading his files. So I have separated pages that the user will upload files. From that upload action I want to be able to store that file in a specific BuddyDrive folder on the specific user’s Buddydrive space.
Could you assist me on that?
Is there an API or something else to use?
Thank you for your prompt reply.
]]>1)I have installed wordpress from scratch –>OK
2)I have activated buddypress plugin–>OK
3)I have activated buddydrive plugin–>OK
4)I have created a group whith 2 users–>OK
5)I have uploaded a file and it is rectricted to a group (my group) –>OK
The file doesn’t appear to the users (is not displayed).
The plugin only works with files restricted to members…
I have uploaded 2 files restricted to a group, but, when the members of this group log in this files are NOT DISPLAYED.
BuddyDrive Works with members but no whith groups…
What can I do ??
]]>I need BuddyDrive to share files with groups, but it doesn’t work.
The autocomplete field doesn’t work, and if I type the name of the group neither.
Always I have the text “Please make sure to select a group using the autocomplete field”.
And it is impossible for me…
Hello, I’d like to add files to buddydrive that are already uploaded in WordPress’s default Media Library.
Is that possible? Thanks!
]]>Hello,
We are considdering buddypress+ buddydrive for an intranet application.
Q: We would need users to be able to send “mandatory read” documents. These documents need to be signed or checked or validated some way by each user that receives it. The document owner should see who did so and who did not.
]]>Question déjà posée, mais sans réponse…
Cordialement,
Pierre
I have been trying to get this plugin to work for some time now. I’ve come across other posts about this but they get closed without resolution because apparently people give up and don’t respond.
When I try to file give access to a group, there is a field where I am to enter the name of the group. I enter the name and I get the error:
“Please make sure to select a group using the autocomplete field”.
However, no autocomplete field every appears.
My groups exist. I’ve tried multiple; hidden, private, public. The autocomplete never appears so I can’t assign files to groups.
I have deactivated all plugins except for BuddyPress and BuddyDrive.
Help.
