My name is Denis Botic (full-stack WP programmer) and I’ve found a bug that I would like to report. If you write a text in activity form => whats-new textarea element and you upload the media file, you will notice that previously written text will disappear. This is not the proper way of how this should function.

After the plugin update, group activity with media files attached has bugs.

-When uploading the VIDEO file, if I hit the cancel upload button, everything stucks and buttons disappear.

-After video or image upload finish and I hit submit button, nothing happens. The button stays active for some time and if I lose my nerve I hit it again and therefore I get two posts published instead of one.

(The problem with the second published post is that it doesn’t have media files attached. In the meta table, there is no row with that activity id.)

I am working on a custom project where I need this to be resolved.

If you are not able to resolve it any time soon, I will need to write my own custom solution.

I’d like to hide the Media tab in the profile menu.

When entering text in the box and then uploading an image, the text disappears and then when uploading an image first the text disappears and the image doesn’t upload properly. I’m using Buddypress 5. The latest version.

I have found a few bugs:

1.On mobile the Upload button in order to upload media doesn’t work. The button has no effect when pressing on it with Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox Mobile Browser.

2.On Desktop Edge Browser, it is not possible as to upload Media, when clicking on the button, the file manager does not open. It only works with Chrome and Firefox.

3.When typing a text into field, then half of the text gets cutted away and the user needs to edit the text again.

Would be great if you could update the mentioned bugs because it is a great plugin.

Hi there,
Most media plugins for buddypress are either clunky or ugly, so thanks for this. Looks great. 2 little things I noticed:

1. On the activity page, if you type in some text, then later upload an image or video, it clears out all of the text that was written. You currently have to upload first, type later. Most people don’t do this and will likely result in frustrated users.

2. After posting, when the text written exceeds the excerpt length, and you click on the “read more” button, the image/video completely disappears.
