It’s impossible to get in touch with their support. I’ve tried creating a user on their site in order to write a ticket, but when I register, I don’t get a confirmation mail at all – this is their only support they offer and if you can’t even get access to their support platform it’s useless.
Also not compatible with a lot of the other BuddyPress plugins out there which is a shame!

The plugin does nothing literally! No upload button is showing after activating the plugin. Whatever you do on backend settings and even with your code trying to integrate the upload feature, you’ll get no result. Seems the plugin needs your subscription for any functions it might does, that costs from 500$/year.

Looks like they have abandoned the plugin. It doesn’t work with default BuddyPress. It’s activated but appears then is gone for good. Only BuddyPress and this plugin activated under default themes. Sad, this plugin seem to have potential. Severely disappointed.

I installed the latest version of this plugin in a fresh install of buddypress and buddyx pro theme. It worked fine. But blocked back end access to the media libray by the admin. If that can be fixed, I would use this plugin, but if it cannot it presents a crucial problem for admins.

It took a while, but all of these issues have been resolved.
The Photo tagging plugin isn’t working properly. I reported this issue before buying as I spotted the issue on their demo site. Instead of acknowledging the issue, I was told that it might have been a temporary issue on my part. I guess their plugins have temporary issues that just magically fix themselves over time.
There is a Gnarly error message that appears whenever someone tries to edit the title of an image.

A month later, still broken.
I saved the best for last. I reported this issue 3 or 4 months ago.
Videos are not responsive on mobile. A basic function is missing from a plugin designed to upload and display media files.
I think the support for this product is in need of improvement. Nothing ever seems to get fixed, just kicked down the road.
Overall it’s a good plugin. In my opinion RTMedia is not well supported or maintained.

I has been using Rtmedia for many years. The Gallery is identical like Facebook (love it). It’s very compatible with different themes, buddypress activity stream, and others. Their Add-Ons works like a charm. I’m also using on my site. Their supports are wonderful and top notch!!! You get support answers within 24hrs, continuously helps you to the end, fast and until it solved.
It bites that I can only give 5 stars. Ok, I know, here is 5 stars for your plugins, and 5 stars for your super support.

While I’ve been in the web industry for over 20 years, I’m new to WordPress & Buddypress. We’ve been building a Buddypress based site for members of photography groups from Google Plus. The goal has been to at least replicate the functionality of G+ to make the transition for members easier.
The rtMedia plugin has been great, and the service we’ve received has been exceptional. The core plugin with supporting addons provides a great deal of functionality, but still not everything worked the way we wanted it to. Even though some of the changes we wanted were to the free core plugin, the rtCamp team listened carefully, and added some options that provided exactly what we needed.
We’re so pleased with the support we’ve received, we’re scoping out some custom work that we’ll be happy to pay for and confident that the team will deliver what we need.
It’s unusual in almost any industry today to get service like this, I’d highly recommend rtCamp and the rtMedia plugin.

I agree with previous reviews that this is misleading. This does not work in bbPress at all without the $49/annum add-on. It is described as ‘rtMedia for WordPress, BuddyPress and bbPress’. BuddyPress functionality is central and included in the free version. bbPress is NOT, even in a basic form.

The plugin description says “rtMedia is the only complete media solution for WordPress, BuddyPress and bbPress”
So, you install it and… bbPress support is nowhere to be found… except for a $49 addon to install separately!

Although they have dedicated support, issues are not being resolved. We’ve installed various rtMedia add-ons as part of the premium rtMedia experience, but issues reported over 5 months ago are yet to be fixed. They’ve released a single update over the course of around 7-8 months and claimed that some issues have been fixed with it when it hasn’t.
Opening up multiple tickets on their support page too can be frustrating, as they have Javascript errors that prevent you from looking at any tickets beyond the latest 10.
They seem to promise but not deliver.

This is an outstanding media plugin. For the paid version, there is excellent support – quick and thorough responses to problems. Many features are only available through the paid version, but that is understandable.
The only suggestion I would offer the developers is to make sure that their products operate well with other common wp plugins used by businesses. For instance, instead of the existing subscriptions add-on, it would be valuable to have an add-on that would work with paidmembershipspro, s2member or other membership plugins. That way users could use Stripe as well as Paypal. No point in trying to replicate something someone else has already made very well!

Works well but unfortubately it enqueues everything on all page load, this is completely unneccessary.
At the very least aassets etc should only be enqueued when the user is logged in

Plugin works great and the support is even better! We went back and forth trying to figure out MY problem for quite a while. Turns out it was a problem on my end with the SSL certificate. Fee like I wasted a lot of their time and really appreciate all the effort they put in.

Since installing rtMedia 4.4 you cannot send updates to the BuddyPress Groups wall.
The button is missing = no updates can be made. It is just a place to write with no option to send it anywhere. It does not work.
In Forum section you can still write as usual.
Just deleted rtMedia and wallposts work again as usual. Something wrong with version 4.4.
Hopefully it’s fixed soon.
