The Plugin creates a big time issue with the friend requests. otherwise it is working just fine.
It automatically generates friend requests that the user can’t accept or decline. the actual friend request are not showing up.
when deactivating the plugin the friend request will start working again.
Is there anything you can do to help me? or point to a line of code and i will figure it out myself. but i’m pretty stuck right now.
Thanks.
Information:
Wordpress 4.7.
BuddyPress Version 2.7.4
BuddyPress Real Names 0.3.5
Love your plug in but it creates a major issue, when plug in is active, every new registration has pending automatic friends request in /friends/requests from everybody already on the site.
Has anyone had that issue and how to fix it?
]]>On my Buddypress profile pages I only see the Nicename displayed at the top with the user’s image. I’d like that to display the Full Name instead, so e.g. ‘@johnsmith’ becomes ‘John Smith’ :

Can ‘BuddyPress Real Names’ help me achieve this?
Thanks

Hi there,
thanks for the great plugin.
Having an issue after switching to multi site. Getting the following error. Would love a fix as this is such a handy plugin as this seems to be a lot harder to do then it should/could be ?? so thanks again.
Hoping you can take a look at some stage soon.
Many thanks

]]>We installed this plugin and works great, but e have an issue.
When installed, this plugin is taking over the pagination of Buddypress and only shows the first 20 members on our list of 143 members. There is only one page available. We have deactivated this plugin and the issue disappears.
Is there some sort of controller built into the plugin that we should be aware of?
]]>Hi there,
just wondering if there’s a fix or hack to get this working on the list of a groups members. Working great in other areas already. I see there’s a tickets about this from a year ago, just wondering if there’s since been a solution found?
Many thanks,
Maz
]]>Hello! Members search isn’t working in “alphabetical” mode while “Change the way members are sorted” option is checked.
]]>Any way to make it apply rules to all sites in multisite?
thanks!
]]>Hi,
I would firstly like to thank you for a great plugin. However, I have come across a few issues.
1. When activated, automatic friend requests are sent out from members (some who have never fully activated their accounts by clicking on the activation email).
2. When accepting a request, the following error message comes up:
There was a problem accepting that request. Please try again.
3. I am unable to accept friend requests from members that have actually added me.
4. Search members works with using either a member’s name or surname, does not work with both.
Once again, I would like to thank you for an awesome plugin. Your response would be highly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Neelesh Sooklall

The regex doesn’t seams good.
For example, I have this :
If I set field-1 (field-104)
I get this :
Nickname (Nickname04)
Last, you should add a way to use the login.
]]>Seems to break BP groups, by adding more members to the list then what is actually in the the group and displas all members as the following:
– Admininstrator
– Moderator
– Banned
– Remove from Group

]]>The plugin seems to work fine everywhere except the Group Members list page. I get the impression it’s not loading at all as that page only shows the Display Name (Nickname) and not the custom profile fields. (First Name and Last Name).
Sorting on the Group Members list is non-functional as well.
Using BuddyPress 1.8. Display and sorting work fine on the Site Members list.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
]]>Hi can you help please?

I use buddypress 1.6.4 i installed 1.7.2, stille the same.

]]>Hi,
very nice Plugin. Easy to understand and handle.
I got 1 Issue though…
I cannot search for users via the search on the Members page. It simply does nothing at all (loads couple of seconds then shows the original member-list).
If this could be solved in a further release, big thumbs up!

]]>I’m not sure if I understand your plugin right. I use WP 3.5.1 and BP 1.6.5. Installation of your plugin was no problem. I’ve for BP just the field ‘Name’, I think this is default. If I change the entry in BP, the change is visible on my profile page too.
After activating your plugin the field changed from ‘Name’ to ‘Nickname’. Any changes in this field is similar like before. I thought if I activate your plugin that only the entry of the nickname will change and the entry of name stays as before. For a better understanding. If a person register he use for name normally firstname and lastname. With your plugin, my thought, name stays as it is and nickname just changes like the user want to display on his profile page. This could be useful if a user does not want to show his real name but the real name is existing in backend.
I’ll be thankful for a feedback!

Thorsten

Thanks, Jon

]]>I have the plugin installed and it only seems to work with the name in Profiles and in the login logout links. Member lists do change. I have the same setting for both Display Name and Member Lists but I am not getting any real change.
Using BP 1.6.4 with wordpress 3.5.1
Tried going back to the default buddyPress theme with no luck. Also have S2 Member installed tried deactivating that and had no effect either.
Thoughts? This plugin is EXACTLY what I need.

]]>Changed the settings to profile field ‘Company (required field)’ but nothing happens.
Running the latest version of Buddypress 1.6.4 but the plugin says version 1.7 or above (which isn’t fully available yet).
Can you advise? Thanks

]]>Hi I’ve installed the plugin and created two new custom BP fields (first name and last name) as your instructions. But nothing seems to be happening… The full name field name is still appearing with the user data, not combined first name + last name.
This plugin is exactly what I’m after, so I hope you can help…
Thanks
