This is what greeted me today, ..
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: [] operator not supported for strings in /var/sites/b
Above is a small section that was on the screen, and Xprofile is what did it.
So what follows, is just a heads-up with all that, (this): GDPR nonsense.
This buddypress addon is no longer supported, but as it worked so well, I never came here to see what’s happening.
Xprofile crashed out my site after Buddpress itself updated, and I couldn’t even get onto the Dashboard without a steam of error strings about false calls, or some such thing, as is presented above.
Solution, you’re gonna have to go onto your providers back-end, (or) via: FTP.
– To then rename the Folder (called buddypress-xprofile-custom-fields)
– And it’s under (yoursite) -> wp-content -> plugins .. and it’s there along with all of your other plugins.
Do that, and your back into your Dashboard, as I say: maybe yours is still working, but mine definitely ain’t.
The plugin has been deleted from the WordPress site as well.
– And that’s a shame, cos it was very good, but I think that it captured far to much data gathering techniques for this GDPR nonsense.
I might be wrong, but I will state for the record here: that that Plugin was quite frankly brilliant.

]]>The version checking for this plugin fails with BP 3.0. On my system is failed trying to use a string as an array. on top of that the version check fails to see 3.0 as a later version than 2.5.
]]>Hi, I know that this plugin has been discontinued, but maybe some of you still use the plugin, and have had the same issue.
The problem is, when using the birth date selector, the users are not getting any older on their birthday, they simply stays the same age at the change of date.
I am using the “Show age (hide birthdate)” option and my time setting is correct.
Have anyone experienced this issue?

Is there any planned update coming so it will continue to be compatible with the most current versions of WordPress and BuddyPress?

After upgrading wordpress from 4.8.2 to 4.8.3 the Custom Taxomony Multisector is not displaying/working correctely in the dashboard user extended profiles. The users chosen selection is no longer displayed. The entire list is shown, but the users selection is no longer visable. From the front end everything works correctly.

]]>Hi, I discovered what must be a bug in the birthdate selector under Users -profile fields
Example. A person born November 1.st 1974 supposed to be 42, was already age 43, October 31., before midnight.
After midnight, the person is still aged 43…
I then changed the birthdate to November 2. (On October 31.) and the person suddenly was 42 years of age.
The time zone is set correctly.

The option values of the select box are post id. I want it should be title. And in the database id is saving so please let me know how can values will be save of the title not id.

]]>Hello, There is a nproblem I used the custom post type extended filed plugin and make a drop down of all posts of a custom post type. So i get the field value xprofile_get_field_data($field, $user_id); by this function.
But problem is that suppose I have a option value like

So this function gets “One” in output but i want value “1” .

I think it could be relevant in multiselectboxes for custom hierarchical taxonomies to add classes to select options : ‘parent’ and ‘child’ or ‘level-x’ for example to allow the desgin of the hierarchy in the select box.

I’ve been reading through the 29 pages of your support thread on your plugin and I have to admit that it is heart-warming to see such a dedicated and long-lasting support history by you. This is always nice to see!
What I was looking for were questions about repeating fields, and I couldn’t find anything. I had a client come to me recently with a request that would be solved if there could be repeating fields in BP profiles (where a button exists such as “Add another School, Job, Etc”)
In my Google searching, it turns out that I’m not the only one who has thought about this over the years, but it seems it has never been solved. When I stumbled upon your plugin, I wondered if there was a possibility you would explore this as a feature?
Have you considered or attempted to make some of the field types repeatable, or adding a new repeatable field type?
I’m interested in knowing your thoughts on this and what it might take to make it happen.
