This plugin is perfect if you have hundreds of post that you have imported via JSON or CSV file, and they are all included in a category that you don’t want to (such as uncategorized). You can select the bulk ==> edit ==> Remove from category. Very simple but super functional.

No idea why the feature isn’t part of the WP core – does exactly what its supposed to do. Moved 80 imported blogs from “uncategorized” to where I needed them to go in a few seconds. Awesome plugin, thank you!

I haven’t tested all possible scenarios, but it seems to work just perfectly fine even with custom post types. It is beyond me, why this is not part of the WordPress core since years. It is absolutely annoying that we can can batch add a category but not remove one.
So, a big thankyou for the developer of this plugin. It really can save you a ton of time-consuming and tedious work.

Select more than one post. Select bulk action: edit. Check “remove from category” immediately below the category list and then check the category you want removed. Accept.

I acitvated this plugin for excatly 30 seconds to remove the Uncategorized category from all posts. Does exactly what it promised, great!

As far as I can tell, it is necessary to set custom taxonomies to 'hierarchical' => true, in order for this to work on the bulk edit screen. No problem in my case but I can see that being a hurdle for less experienced users.
It also doesn’t appear to use the taxonomy labels, so the prompt text is always “Remove from category“, regardless of your taxonomy name.
Still, it did the trick and avoided the stupid delete-and-rename trick we normally would have to have used.

First of all….Great Plugin!
This plugin is a must-have for any WooCommerce shop. My team members and I would absolutely dread large edits of categories. Hours just wasted doing it manually. I just modified 300 products out of categories in a few minutes.

Had over 1,800 posts that needed to be removed from one category but left in another. Did them in batches of 100. Less than 10 minutes and I was finished.
Probably will never use again, but sure glad it was there. Beats phpMyAdmin.
