How do I get rid of the annoying “Want to know the secrets of building an awesome business directory?” pop up that appears on every single admin page of my site now? I’ve tried pressing no and yes!
]]>I’m currently doing some tests and imported a small sample without issue. But I noticed the listing owner shows the admin user. I can’t seem to find information in the docs about the correct field to use in the import csv so the listing owner is the same as the listing. Can you point me in the right direction please?

This not-for-profit used to only add images to listings for some levels of membership. They may soon allow images/logos for all members. But members rarely provide the correct image files (if they provide one at all). And staff has limited time and ability to resize and fiddle with them.
Is there any setting that would constrain the file and show the logo at a max width?

When I’m logged in, the submit listing category dropdown list works properly. I can type or I can select. But when I’m not logged in, it only allows me to select, and it only shows one category at a time. I’m assuming this has something to do with CSS? Is there a way I can add the CSS to my theme to force it to display correctly?

What has changed? What do we do to make those work again?

Hi, I have a few listing plans and have a listing field Website URL that only applies to the top plan. I can’t find a way to have it not show for the other plans both on frontend and also when user is submitting listing.
I notice you can have a field only apply to specific categories but this is not what I want as I only have one category. Is there a way to specify a The Website url should only be used for one plan?

Also, I have another field, that for some reason, shows on the top of the page, unformatted. In the HTML it shows like:

<p>sample field text</p>
</div>It shows on both category page and listing view. On the top of the page, below the main menu.
For testing I set it as meta (not excerpt) and I’ve removed all the checkboxes so basically it shouldn’t show at all. But it still does!
Any ideas?

]]>Hi On the Category pages the on-page title doesn’t show the Category name but it shows the title of the first entry on that page instead!? How can this be corrected? This is for all of the categories – sample one shown here: https://gameguns.com/business-directory/wpbdp_category/clay-pigeon-shooting/ All the category settings seem to be correct.I’m using WP 6.5.2 (using Genesis Framework) and Business Directory 6.4.

]]>I use the plugin “Add To Any” for sharing buttons on my downloads and business directory sections of our WordPress site. How ever I recently noticed that lately the Add To Any sharing buttons (for twitter, facebook, etc) are no longer showing up on any of my Business Directory listings. In the settings for the Add To Any I have toggled the checkmark to display the sharing buttons on Business Directory, I have even uninstalled and reinstalled/activated the Add To Any plugin but the sharing buttons will not show up on any of the Business Directory listings still.
I am running Business Directory v6.4 and Add To Any sharing is also the latest version.
Add To Any sharing buttons did work in the past on my business directory listings.

]]>Hello – If logged in as admin, i can simply click “Edit” for any listing and it will allow me to edit the listing, however if “Editor” role is logged in, they do not see “Edit” but instead they see “Edit Listing” and will not allow them to edit the listing details. I have tried installing User Role Editor and enabling all options for the directory or Editor role but even with those enabled the Editor is still restricted. Please advise ASAP thanks.

This has been an issue with other business directory plugins I’ve used as they usually tend to require a physical address. OR they give the option of one or the other, but not both together.

]]>Hi, when you are logged in as a user and trying to drag images to a different order, the drag image on the left is missing. I checked out the location of the image and it seems to be pointing to the wrong folder i.e. it is pointing to wp-content/plugins/business-directory-plugin/images/drag-handle.png when it should be wp-content/plugins/business-directory-plugin/assets/images/drag-handle.png
We have a free plan so the payment page is bypassed. We get a Submission Received page with a notice to check your email for more instructions. I can’t figure out how to edit the content of this page, or how to direct people to a custom thank you page after they fill out the form.

]]>I have just updated to 6.4 and noticed a change to the Advanced Search link.
The link used to read “Advanced Search”, which is clearly understandable as to what it does.
Now there is an icon that means absolutely nothing (and has a hover Title that is very imprecise and difficult to activate: I can position my mouse in various places and the title does not display – not that anyone would bother because there is no intuitive rationale for what the icon is or does).
There is a line under the SVG declaration within the <a> container that reads:
<span class="wpbdp-sr-only">Advanced Search</span>
How do I get rid of the icon and get the words (and link) to display underneath the Find Listings button as it did before?
