I am looking to include in my taxonomy sitemap, taxonomy tags created via Custom Post Type creation, taxonomies that don’t have any posts included in them.
For example i’ve created a taxonomy called directories, and add my posts to these directories.
But any directories without a post, are excluded from the sitemap.
I would like to show them, because I have added content to my directories, despite not having posts in some.

Hi, is this plugin still being maintained? If yes, is it possible to improve DB query on wpms /network/ panel? It is querying DB 5 times there with no need, like the one below:

I am getting an alert in Wordfence that this plugin may be abandoned, and it looks like it hasn’t been tested with the last three major releases of wordpress. Does anyone know if it still works, or should I go ahead and remove it?

Hi, I would like to split the post sitemap into post categories.

I want to split my current post.xml that shows:

And replace it by separate post sitemaps for each category:
cat1-posts.xml
cat2-posts.xml
cat3-posts.xml

So my canonical links look like:

But in XML BWP sitemaps it shows:
/listing/california/los-angeles-county-beverly-hills-90210

How can I have the XML only generate links according to what the canonical is?

The links in XML are the full links including each category, while links on my site do not include full categories in the links..

The post sitemap is not showing the latest articles, it is delayed by a day I guess. Which is causing the indexing delay. Earlier, the article used to be index in few minutes but now as the sitemap is not reflecting the latest article instantly, the indexing is not happening. Please help.

If the Attribute for an Entity is “no-index” it should be excluded from Sitemap.

Big fan of this plugin for awhile. I seem to have issue with Rackspace’s http redirect and was wondering if there’s a way to generate sitemap in both http and https. Currently if i go to https://example.com/sitemapindex.xml i get the sitemap does not have any item error but if i go to https://example.com/sitemapindex.xml shows up.

I guess my question is. Is there a way to generate none ssl sitemap on top of the ssl sitemap link?

So the news sitemap is throwing this error:

…even tho, I’ve published posts within a 2 day timeframe.

I wish to restrict the access of sitemap from public, yet wish to keep it available for the search engines only, i.e. to Google and bing.

Hence, I wish to know if there is a way to change the sitemap location or at least rename it to an unexpected name. Ofcourse I’ll manually submit the sitemap URL in webmaster tools of Google and bing, hence indexing of new articles should not be a problem.

But I wish to change the location to some other folder, or if it could be renamed and how to mark the sitemap as “noindex” for the search engine?

Ive noticed this today, I wrote a new article and then usually I will cut the link put the link in search after I published the article and it will show up in google search, now I post the article and the article is not being indexed in google search when I search for it.

I looked in the sitelog and no errors showing its all green, no sitemap errors in webmaster tools either.

Why is this happening?

On the screenshot https://prnt.sc/g3vnc0 sitemap doesn’t look correct, no php errors in server logs, no error messages in sitemap logs.
Have a copy of the site on my laptop, sitemap works fine there https://prnt.sc/g3vos6

I installed this plugin on my 2 different websites, the only difference that one of my website also have multysite plugin. I uploaded the same files to this 2 websites, activate it, but on my fist websites … xml sitemap have website urls like links and at the bottom of the website there is “This plugin is (c) 2011-2016 Khang Minh and is licensed under GPLv3.” copyright.

On my second website my sitemap i don’t have any links, just listed URL like this

I am getting numerous crawl errors in Search Console. It is recognizing the custom post types but it is assigning a 404 error to the individual posts. Can you assist?

The current version of the plugin is throwing a ton of errors in our error logs. Our host contacted us because it’s causing the site to slow down. Please see the error below. Any ideas?

I have built a simple child module which I cannot seem to get to activate. I’ve followed the API instructions very carefully.

I’ve created a directory under plugins/bwp-google-xml-sitemaps-modules and placed my module there: page_arg.php. I’ve registered this directory under Site Options | Custom module directory.

The php file writes text to a file when it’s called and the file isn’t being written so I’m certain it’s never getting loaded. Is there something else I need to do to register the module?

I have big blog with a lot of categories in it.
So i need to choose only news category for news sitemaps (I already done that) + exclude some tags from this sitemap that are not acceptable for google news (especially some advertisment news).
I found some hooks for it but I can’t understand how tou use them on news sitemaps.
Can you help with achieving this goal?
