I spent a lot of time on and off this past year researching my options for migrating our Shopify website back to Woocommerce and after weighing all options and reviews I decided to go with Cart2Cart and try a demo since they come highly recommended. The demo results are of about 10 products, orders, etc. and looks awesome so will now follow thru with a complete migration! We do quite a bit of WooCommerce work and are in the process of migrating a couple of stores away from Shopify. I really appreciate the simplicity of this service. We could do the migration manually, but this saves a ton of time in terms of getting orders and customers connected with products. I do wish that some of the upsells were part of the base products, but it is a big enough time saver that it is work the money.

After Payment we did our first Migration at that time only 200 products out of 2400 products were migrated. Upon contacting they said they will restart migration and it took a week.
After 2nd migration only 400 products got migrated and again I have contacted and they said they will do migration again
after days they started one more Migration and it was running slowly. Literally 100 products/Day which was not acceptable. we can do that manually, why would any one pay for that. Upon asking your tech team told its a problem from our source store (Shopify), and we should resolve by contacting source store.
we contacted shopify team and said everything is proper its a common configuration for all user.
We gave 1 week of time to fix this to your tech team, we waited patiently even if it was more than a month at this time.
after a week they started Migration and guess what, same thing. It was slow. And again same reason (Problem with source store).
then I asked for a refund and they said they will restart migration one last time, and I said if migration wont get completed in a week ill go with refund.
Shockingly migration got over with in 3 days.
How? for 1 month they were telling source store has a problem and they delayed. as soon as I asked for refund migration was done with in 3 days. So source store was just a reason?
I really didnt care because any way migration was successful.
But when I saw data after 2 days, All the variable products prices were wrong.
By default sales price was set to 1000.
When I contacted support. they are offering for some service for 50$ instead of solving my query.
later when I rejected, They started blaming shopify store saying shopify data is wrong. Where as data is perfect and being used daily.
and till today I haven’t heard from tech team.
We cant edit prices of 1000s of products with 1000s of variations on it.
That’s why we paid for migration rite?
This was one of the worst experience ever had.
Its been more than 1 month and I am still contacting their support for refund. But daily they are giving one or other reasons and it will not get solved

Ok, so I went through the entire process of connecting shopify and woocommerce. I just needed to migrate 27 products. They hit me with a bill for $142. I thought it was free?
Nope.
So I did the demo migration and 1 product came over.
Another crappy plugin and is more expensive then just doing it yourself.

We are still dealing with Cart2Cart tech support and if they show some care and fix the matter for us, we will update you on the result.
But as of now, in my opinion, you should not use this service at all. In my view, the service can be extremely dangerous and tech support is not responsive at all.
Upon paying $70+ and doing a migration, our entire site went into smoke with 1,000 articles deleted. Cart2Cart tech support was not helpful so we had to rely to premium support from our hosting company to restore a 1-day old backup after 3 hours which had lot of consequences for us.
I reached out to their tech support again and they say things like “it is 3:42 am here and no one is here” and when I reach out 3 hours later, again they say “it is 3:42 am here” which is obviously a lie.
I am still dealing with them so we will see how it goes (12 hours and now luck so far)- I will update you. But as of now my opinion is “don’t buy this service at all.”

I needed to migrate my Shopify store to Woocommerce, did a detailed research and found out that cart2cart was the best option when it comes to migration of online stores to a different platform. And it was true because my website was migrated exactly how they said on the website, quickly and automatically. I especially liked the quick support – live chat on their website and then also their development team was able to fine-tune some details on my migrated store – I wanted to change something and they remigrated my whole site within 1 day, while being very quick to respond to my questions during the day. Even their website is done to be very easy to navigate.
One thing I’d like to point out is that later during the migration they offer some additional options. At first I was not sure about the option: “Migrate images from products descriptions and categories descriptions” but then I found out from one of their explanation videos that it’s not needed for me as I didn’t have any images in the description area of my product pages – I had there just text. The featured image and also the whole gallery is migrated normally within the base price. That additional option was just for images that might be in the description and category area.
So now I have a perfect copy of my Shopify store on my Woocommerce platform. All within 2 days and I didn’t have to code anything – the migration took just a few clicks – fuuly automated. Ok, that’s it I just like when I see somebody really care about your business so I felt like I’d let the world know about my experience with this company.
