Breaks formatting if divs or tables are added into the description, disables media addition links.
Wouldn’t it be quite a reasonable expectation that people would like to add tables or more images into the description? Wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume they do so using some sort of templating engine?

I wasn’t sure about Catablog at first. But once I got used to it I found it to be pretty powerful. Using it as a viable store takes some work since you’ll need to create new store templates to add option like size, color, etc.
I didn’t like the fact that “store” opened up a new window so I had to fix that. I would LOVE a widget that makes the paypal cart show in a side bar. I would also like a “view cart” feature or link. And I would like to see or get help making subphotos show as a row under the main picture.
Another feature I would like to see is the ability for it to auto focus photos. Some photos look blurry as a larger thumbnail.
But as it is now, it works fine.

This plugin is an indispensable addition to any product catalogue toolbox and a must for Anyone wanting to create a shop window in order to venture into e-commerce.
I would give it 5 stars but I choose 4-out-of-5 stars because, to my knowledge, the custom fields are not operational as yet. If I’m not mistaken the custom fields addition had been enlisted as a soon-to-be-added feature. Would be great to have them implemented in an upcoming version.
I would be willing to revise my rating and to provide a more comprehensive review when this feature-request has been addressed. Needless to say, the average star rating is significantly high and I do not think that my input can detract from the overall positive reception which this plugin seems to enjoy.

Simply put…I tested 4 other catalog plugins for WordPress and none achieved what this one did. Within a few minutes, I realized this one had enough flexibility for me to make plenty of customizations with my fairly basic HTML and CSS skills.
The galleries display beautifully, the admin interface is logically laid out, and the author has taken a lot of time to document the various features and settings.
If you need a catalog, don’t hesitate trying this one.

I want to love this plugin, but you can NOT edit the OPTIONS to change the thumbnail size. Right now, it’s stuck on “100 x 100” and if you try to change it, the “Save” button gets greyed out. Needs improvement. Also, am disappointed that it doesn’t come with more instructions.

Good plugin for multiple simple gallery.
Specific categories are very usefull.
Just one little update : input for custom alt text, and it will be SEO friendly
At this time, i use a JS call to add it automatically, but it’s not really customizable by the end-user :

Of all the gallery plug-ins I’ve tried, this one is the most intuitive to use. I’m a visual artist and needed a easy to use do-it-all plugin to show my work in a nice looking gallery, and to sell it through Paypal too. Catablog works beautifully for the gallery, individual pages with descriptions, and for the for-sale-with-Paypal-button pages too. Thank you so very much for making this plugin.
